In Day 5 of 12 Days of Abundant Thinking, we examine the power of purpose. In essence, purpose is the heartbeat of life. It gives our life direction. Purpose is often defined as that deepest dimension within us where we discover a profound sense of who we are and where we are going. It can take on any dimension of discovery from the spiritual to the practical.

In my last post I wrote, “Money is simply a means of exchanging value for the accomplishment of your life purpose.”

Your purpose in life is to discover your gifts, perfect them and use them to give back something of value to others. How you accomplish your purpose will come from your passion.

Tiger Woods contributes inspiration and entertainment value through golf. Mozart contributed value through his music. Steve Jobs contributed value through innovation in communication devices. What value do you contribute?

Take some time to complete the following sentence. My purpose in life is to contribute value to others by ____________________________________.

Once you have clearly identified your life purpose, ask yourself two questions:

How can I fulfill my purpose to create the most value for the most people?

How can I be rewarded in direct proportion to the value I bring?

Stop and think about those questions now. Searching for and discovering the answer to those two questions is how abundance comes into your life and fortunes can be made.

The more value you contribute, the more reward you can expect to receive. That is how the Law of Contribution and Expectation works.

Henry Ford was an American Industrialist with a definite purpose to contribute something of value in his life.Ford was determined to produce an affordable motorized car for the middle class. His success is legendary.By following his purpose, Ford became one of the wealthiest men in the world.

Greater abundance will come into your life as you discover your destiny and express it passionately through your contribution in daily life. The passion or enthusiasm within is what gives us our dedication to fulfill our destinies.

I love what Professor Charles Kingsley wrote, “We act as though comfort and luxury were the chief requirements of life, when all we need to make us really happy is something to be enthusiastic about.”

Following my life purpose with enthusiasm makes me really happy. And, I know the power of purpose when combined with passion always leads to the creation and contribution of value.

Since we know that the way to attract money into our lives is by giving more value to others, it follows that we can expect to be rewarded in direct proportion to the value we give.

Being directed by life purpose is a conscious choice. We can choose to give the world an unlimited amount of value by expressing our passion through the vision we have been given. We can also choose to limit the value we give by trading our time dispassionately for wages thereby helping employers make an abundance of money from their vision.

The choice is yours.I pray you will choose to follow your destiny into the abundance you deserve.

Try out these abundant thinking affirmations:

(Be sure to say them out loud.)

I am planning now for greater abundance in my life.

I live my life passionately on purpose.

I am attracting greater abundance in my life by contributing greater value to others.

I am limitless in my thinking.

I expect to be rewarded according to the value I contribute to others.

I have developed superior personal skills in the school of life.

I use my skills to add value and create abundance in my life.

My total life experience is my greatest education.

My life experience gives me the ability to amass abundance.

I had to take a moment and think to answer those questions. Intuitively I felt what I wanted to do. Now I have put into words. Thank you.

Excellent! I like your intuitive approach. Articulating our life purpose will bring an amazing sense of accomplishment. Thanks for your comment, Emilie.

It is true, if you give in every area of your life. Abundance will happen in the most unusual and not thought of ways.

How true and how wonderful it is to give knowing that no deed done unselfishly will go without reward in due time. Thanks for your comment, Cyril.

Great Post Rebecca!

Great quote, Ben...Thanks for sharing!

Makes me think of my favorite quote, unfortunately its anonymous:
Don't talk about what you have done or what you will do... Do it! And let it speak for itself. Lots to go do now...

Good thought on abundance dear one. Now go and do!

My purpose in life is to contribute value to others by helping them to realize there is another, and perhaps a better way, to live their lives!

Thanks again for this series Rebecca! This is what makes WA so great! There is so much more here than just affiliate marketing. There is life training, and you are a great contributor to that effort!

Thank you Howard. Liberating abundance brings me great joy.

Excellent Rebecca, always enjoy the great read. Kim :))

Thank you, Kim. Abundant blessings to you today.

Another great chapter, Rebecca. Thanks! I'm in my 60s and, to this day, I still don't know what my purpose is. I've been told all my life that I'm an encourager. I love to encourage people to do their best. That's why I taught. But how I can earn something from that. . . . well, I'm still working on it. Looking forward to tomorrow's post!

Oh my goodness Carla...teachers can make a profound impact on the world. Teaching is a calling. Your calling may be to children or adults. Start a project to teach prisoners to read. Lack of literacy is one of the biggest contributors to crime. Start a project to give pencils and tablets to underprivileged teens and teach them to journal their ideas. Help moms who need to provide for their children learn how to write resumes. Start a project to help families reconnect through the power of reading classic books and stories together. Teach writing to young adults at a Community College. Create a writing course for some group of people....these are just a few ideas.

Think bigger...think abundantly. You have abundant gifts and skills to contribute to the world.

Thank you, Rebecca. I've done some of those things, like teaching reading. Community College is out here as you have to have a master's in English. My degrees are in history. I used to teach ESL, too. Never thought of it as a calling, though. I will definitely do some rethinking. Thanks, my friend!

Lead with your strengths. Make a list of your strengths and of all the things you are drawn toward. Make a list of all the things in the world that you think needs changing. Many people do not find their life calling until they hit their sixties. Your timing is perfect.
