I have been a Premium member for a few months and am stuck trying to make even one of the websites I tried to build work. So I have invested much more then I will ever make. I

Hi, it really does take time to be successful at WA and internet marketing. Irv.

It takes time to make an "overnight" success.

Ah! I have been in your shoes many times in life. After getting my first college degree I wondered why I was still looking for work and was only getting jobs I had done in the past. Not until I had paid the piper per se did I actually get a great paying job in the field of my degree. It did not take place until about 6-8 months after I graduated. Same thing here, learn first, apply what you learn, stay the course, and before you know it you have made a brand for yourself and will help many people along the way. This degree in affiliate marketing is no different than a Bachelor's degree in brick and mortar Universities, which by the way cost $1,000's per year for tuition, books, labs, paper, pencils, pens, notebooks, index cards....And for the Bachelor's degree it takes 4-5 years of learning and applying and networking to start making money in a career. I have been here a year and some days I make great progress, other days I don't do much. It is all up to me how fast my affiliate marketing career takes off. The good thing about this cheap education is you do not ever get a failing grade. Your success is your grade. If you are not succeeding as fast as you would like then it is up to you to apply more and learn more. I pay monthly and sometimes life gets in my way and I may not be able to spend as much time on my business, which is fine! I don't have to be in a certain class at a certain time. I go to classes when I have free time, even if I did pay for the month. It all balances out depending on how you approach the education of this wonderful affiliate marketing school. It is work, but it is also something more, called freedom to explore my creativity and to create something for me! So, hang in there, relax, enjoy, have some fun with this degree. If you are upset or bogged down and only looking for the money it is time to take a break and start analyzing yourself and your work. You will succeed if you stay the course and try as hard as possible to build your company. I have watched you and am so impressed with how far you have come. I know you are on the right path just keep learning and NEVER give up!

Sorry to hear this but I agree it takes time for any business to take off and the money to start coming in.

This is a little different but similar, my cousin has always wanted his own practice...he's an MD. He did start and has shared the doctor's office with another doctor. When he first started , it was really slow for a little while, hardly any patients , but after some time , more and more people were coming in and my cousin is doing well financially. He has a lot of patients now.

I understand your frustration, but don't give up! Any business takes time to really take off. If you continue to work hard, believe in your business and yourself ,great things will happen! WA doesn't make promises, but they do lead , guide and help us. We have to put in the time , effort and hard work! Anything is possible, but you have to believe it too!

So sorry to hear that. It makes me wonder. Best wishes.

I have to agree with FFinch - 2 months is no time at all :)

After reading this post, my first reaction was to ignore it, as it makes absolutely no sense to me as a business man.

But, then I thought, What the hell. Give it a shot.

My first question is: At what point did you intend to train?

2) How many websites have you "tried" to build in just two Months?

3) How does one look at an education as a loss?

4) Why are you giving up so easily, when in fact, you're just getting started?

5) How do you expect to operate a business with an employee mindset?

I think that you need to stop for a minute and ask yourself if you are willing to except the training that will make you an entrepreneur or if you are even trainable at all.

Not wanting to sound to harsh here but, judging from your statement, I'd say that your problems are self induced.

This is an educational institution. Nothing more, nothing less.

Until you come to grips with the fact that an education is in order first, you are doomed to fail and there is nothing that anyone can do for you.

The ball is in your court.

I wish you all the luck in the world,
Forrest

I'm so sorry to hear this!!
... I honestly hope you will stay, talk with other's that have gone through similar circumstances. I'm so new here and green, that I am sticking with the proven step by step training... I found myself skipping ahead and got my self all frustrated and overwhelmed.

That's when I put my foot down just a couple of days ago and told myself to be very patient, follow the flow of the classes/ courses and training... I feel much more confident now, now that I am back on track being completely patient with my self.

I do hope you find a way to stick with it...

Sincerely,

Michelle

The "average" time I have heard is about a year! Some do it much quicker if they invest the time and energy. WA is not a get rich quick program. But after five years of research, I was never able to find one!

Wishing you all the best for your future

Steve

Sorry to hear that but it does take time. How many websites are you building? I have heard it is better to focus on one at the beginning.

Best of luck int he future whatever you decide to do.

I would like to build 1 website to promote work from home sites, of course like the best Wealthy Affiliate program, then a second site to promote a Niche of my choice?

You can have 25 of your own domain sites and 25 siterubix sites

Yes you can build as mas many as you like. I have 2 I run and it takes a lot of my time but they both are doing well. I started with the siteRubix first until I got the hang of everything, then I decided to step it up and purchase my own domain but I let Wealthy Affiliate host them for me. http://www.geerie.com and http://www.tools4yoursuccess.com. Both were built from the boot camp and the start here section of WA.

Hi,
I just want to put my 2 cents in! I started out with the free course and started building my niche site. Once I upgraded and moved to the Affiliate Bootcamp, I realized that all of the training for the bootcamp would also work for my niche site. So I decided to do exactly what you are talking about. I wanted at least 2 sites to eventually be bringing in income, and I did not want to have to go back and relearn everything to build my niche site once I started the bootcamp. So this is what I do. I go through a lesson and apply it to both my bootcamp site and my niche site simultaneously. I do them both within hours of each other. That way, I do not forget what needs to be done. Also, when I do an article for one site, when I finish, I switch to the other site and write an article there also. Check out my sites and see what you think. I had these sites to where they are after about 2 months. I would be further along, but then I came down with a nasty case of the flu for almost a month. So I am a little behind, but intend to catch up. My sites are: 1) supportmilitaryheroes.org and 2) howtobeattriplenegativebreastcancer.siterubix.com. Oh, I also try to write at least 3 articles a week on each site. That is 6 articles a week. I usually do 2 articles approximately every other day. This has really worked out well for me. It sounds like a lot of people cannot manage to do two sites at once, but it works for me! If you have any questions, let me know. Good Luck!

Yes I saw that too. It's really nice that we have this as well !

You can have up to 25 free SiteRubix websites and up to 25 websites with your own domain.

Given that, you could actually build up to 50 websites if you choose so. However, I noticed you've just joined WA and unless you can really afford the time it takes to build websites, I highly recommend that you focus on one website at a time.

Build the framework for one website until you get to the point where you have a routine of writing blog posts and keeping up with some social engagement.

Then move on to build a second website. Build out the framework until you get a routine in publishing content.

I know it's tempting to create more than one from the very beginning, but many before you and me have done so and struggled, so did I.

This is not to discourage you, I just want you to know that building two websites at the same time while you're still learning can be a hard challenge.

As a matter of fact, the more you grow and further down your journey, the more websites you will want to build because you're comfortable with the process. You know how to do it. You know how to build the website, how to find relevant affiliate programs and most importantly how to generate the so needed traffic to convert into sales.

Hope this helps and if there's anything you need help with, reach out. :)

Oh, before I forget. Welcome to Wealthy Affiliate! ;)

Yes my interest is to learn to build my first Niche site, as well as a site that promotes WA to my friends and family in my network that I think would Appreciate this program, as well I know that referring will help my network to grow, as I continue to develop my Niche and promote my interests. I like that there is a tonne of growth potential, but yes I think you are right to keep it simple in the beginning and be prepared to do a lot of learning, and practicing. Then when I have some experience then start building other sites and Niches.

Learn, take action, rinse & repeat. Soon you'll be comfortable to start another project. I have no doubt that you'll be very successful with that approach. :)

Let me know if you need any help.

Unless you want to use siterubix. Then it's all included.

You can build as many as you like. There is no limit being a Premium Member. You just have to buy each domain name.

Seahawk -- That's not true. With premium membership, you can host up to 25 siterubix subdomains and 25 personally-owned domains here at WA. (While that's plenty of domains, that is the limit.)

Then I must have misunderstood Kyle in the training.
Thanks so much for catching that.
Now I know.

Thanks again. Much Appreciated.

There may be some outdated training that refers to "unlimited hosting". The limits were put into place some time in the past year or possibly two but I'm not sure when.

I can't thank you enough for the update.

Again, much appreciated.
