Hi WA, I'm RP and I am a long time business owner of a local janitorial service for the past 25 years. I am looking to phaze out of the physical labor part and take my knowledge online somehow.

My son and I are partnering in this endeavor more or less so if you see us both in here commenting don't get too confused, lol.

His name is Phil and we are beginning with a website for him tailored around his passion for the game of soccer. Bragging on him a bit, he is a former Brazilian mission soccer team member that wants to teach his skills to young people. Needless to say I am a bit proud of him!

Until I get use to all the website details of how to get ranked and producing quality content for the SERP's, I will stick with his passion and help build an authority site in the soccer niche.

I really believe this is my future! Within time - few years down the road - I am planning to be done with the physical end of my work and bring my entrepreneur spirit online to earn a living. I am praying that this will all be possible one step at a time.

I was wondering if some one might know if we are allowed to take a logo of a company or say a sports team, that we are discussing in our article at our website and place it in the post near the area we are talking about them?

Is this allowed? Or should I say legal?

And maybe a related question is...

If we are an affiliate of a particular product and we are trying to SELL something are we allowed to put a brand name image of their logo and or product in the post WITHOUT asking for permission?

Doesn't this happen within affiliate programs like CJ and Shareasale and the like all the time?

I do believe that you can take picture of logo if you use it for writing article about that team, but you can't use it for any monetizing purposes.
Kyle will let you know for sure.

for example if you going to sell some product and you use with that product logo of that sport team, then you will be in big trouble!

So, if I have a review site about hockey and I list product reviews of Adidas and Nike hockey skates and I am an affiliate of a CJ.com trying to sell there sports products from my site, I'm unable to display an image of an Adidas or a Nike hockey skate? If this is the case then I am confused as to how you sell anything as an affiliate or even an Amazon associate.

I hope things are going well. I know you are getting rolling within the training and there is ONE thing that always tends to confuse people and that is "what is my niche?".

I know, same thing happened to me when I started.

I just wanted to reach out and let you know that I am here if you ever want to run any niche "ideas" by me or you have any questions about finding your niche.

Get back to me when you get the chance! :)

Yes Kyle, thank you so much for your willingness to help. Actually I dont see how you get anything done if you are on here answering every members questions all the time.

But my niche questions are these...

I already decided coming into WA what I would do and I do not want to get all emotional about new found opportunities until I tap into the areas I already know about.

I have two focuses right now. One is to use my local small business Janitorial Service knnowlege to offer a way for other small cleaning companies and opportunity to build out a local website for their business and bring them into WA as members. I would then try to stay in regular contact with them and offer my advice maybe even with a membership site all about starting a local cleaning company. So I wondered what else I could offer this audience in regards to monitarily other then membership at WA?

I also have been working on a website for my son who wants to mentor young people as a soccer and life coach. He is a member of the nationally known program CoachUp and gets clients through them first and then tries to build a long term relationship with them. What would be the best way to monitize our site for that niche? It would be Soccer skills coach.

Yeah, Im wondering in which direction would be best to take these two niches?

You could offer your services and offer to manage their services for them. There are also plenty of local marketing tools that people use and you could refer them to that and if you can help people in the cleaning company space, you could replicate this across many different spaces (all small businesses need this sort of help).

I have spent some time breaking down the process in the most simplistic way possible. Success online is at the core a 4 step process and I have broken them down within this video: Broken, down, the process looks like this:

Step 1: Choose your niche
Step 2: Build your website/content
Step 3: Get rankings in search engines (leads to traffic)
Step 4: Monetize your traffic (the make money part, through affiliate programs, etc!)

This applies in absolutely every niche and as you work through the training here at WA, you are going to be walked through this exact process. This is fundamental for ANY success online.

If you have any further questions let me know Randall. :)

Thanks Kyle for your prompt reply and suggestions.

I will certainly begin with helping people in the cleaning industry first yes and then Lord willing branch out to other small business people.

I got through the first 10 lessons today so I am making progress.

Thanks again

Wonderful comment Randall, we all have much to thank God for in our lives. It is a shame that so many simply don't seem to realize that. Think how much better this world would be if they did.

Good luck to you and God Bless.
