If anyone has done a Kickstarter campaign I’m curious how you marketed it? If you used a company to help, which company? Thanks!!

Hey Katy,

Didn't want you to think that you are being ignored. It does not appear that any of the active members here can help you with this. Perhaps it is because we are being taught affiliate marketing.

You may have better luck Google searching this topic. See screen print below...

Hope you find this helpful.

Hi!

I have a domain name in mind that I really want to purchase, but it’s taken. When I contacted the person they said they won’t sell it for $100 (what I wa

Hi - one thing that you need to be aware of, is that some domains that have already been in use may have a bad history to them. For example, if they have been using "dodgy" tactics to get traffic. That reputation will remain with the site in Google's eyes, proving difficult to rank.

Thank you! I am aware of this :)

That's a tough one. If this domain is for sale for $5000 this person may be holding onto it to get that amount or more money from it.

Some people buy and flip domains. Meaning they hang onto them until they can get high dollar for them.

Is there any way to choose a different one that is similar. I know this doesn't help much.

I'll be interested to see what others have for advice for you.

Laura

Thanks! He says he’s only using it for the email (as the website is not in use), but he very well could be a flipper. It looks like he possibly purchased it all the way back in 2002. I really want this domain, but I guess I’ll have to do something close if I can’t get it. Thanks!!

I so wish I could help more.

Laura

Thanks anyways, it’s much appreciated!!

Hey Katy,

Google Adsense can be very painful to work with and they offer peanuts of a reward. However, if you have not yet Google searched for a solution then that is the only advice that I can offer you.

See screen print below to see what I received in a simple Google search...

Bets someone has something to offer you in the way of a resolve in one of those forums.

Hope you find this helpful.

Hi All!! What is the best Wordpress Plugin for Adsense? I want to add my code and place ads. I'm guessing there's something better than Site Kit? Thank you!!

Great. You have the answer!

Good question ,Katy--I hope Marion's information has you covered!

Jeff

Thank you, this is helpful!!

I never used a plugin, I just added the Adsense code and let it be from there.

Where did you add it? In your html?

Yes, and in a widget depending on the page.

Thank you!

Hi All!! Just curious if there are any services that actually work to pay for traffic? Or are these all scams?! Thank you!!

Cheers!

What do you mean? You cannnot pay for the traffic

There are websites out there that claim you can "pay and they will get your traffic" but obviously it doesn't seem legit. So, I was just wondering if there were any services like this that actually are real.

My personal stand on that is to avoid them by all means! Even if it were true, traffic is caused by a consistent flow of quality and relevant content!

Otherwise, the traffic will only come like a sudden surge and then gone forever.

You can't force people to come to any website when there is no content they would love to follow up through.

So the best thing to do is create your own consistent publication of posts effectively directed to your target market.

Florentino

Makes complete sense. Thank you so much!!

I've heard that most of those are just bots and not relevant traffic--but I could be wrong!

Yeah and paying for not relevant traffic would really make no sense I suppose. Thank you!!

👍 I hope you find the definitive answer that you're looking for!

I use Thumbtack and get 25-30 leads per day.

Is your business a "local business"?

I am a Personal Trainer and Nutritionist. I do one-on-one and group training locally right now. I am trying to convert over to online training and that is what I am learning from this platform.
Thumbtack gets me a lot of local business. I got my Nutrition site up and it is really taking off.

Great to hear!! My blog(s) aren’t local, but Thumbtack looks amazing for local businesses. I hope you can smoothly switch over to online! Thank you!!

I've paid close to $1000 in solo ads over the years, which promise to deliver "clicks" to your landing page. I've generated a ton of leads and even sales. However, I don't believe the quality of traffic is nearly as good as what you can get through Facebook, Youtube, Google, and Bing.

Thanks for this info!!

No, you can pay for traffic from the browsers Google and Bing

What do you mean you can pay for them through Google and Bing?

I mean you can use pay per click traffic through Bing and Google.

Yes, I know that’s an option (and I’m thinking the only one) but just checking if there was a way to pay for traffic that is legit. I figured it’s too good to be true lol. thank you!!

These methods of Pay per click are legitimste

Yes, sorry totally know PPC is legit. I meant “pay for traffic” probably isn’t. As in paying just to get traffic. If that makes any sense. Lol
