What drew me to WA was the fact that the Training was so heavily promoted, so that's why I joined - to learn a GREAT deal about internet marketing. Any help and guidance on this would be greatly appreciated! Thanking you in advance! :-)

UPDATE! 15 Jul 2015

Special Announcement for all the New Comers to WA whose mother tongue is not English, there is a NEW! English Course designed specifically for you. I have started at the VERY beginning hoping that we will be able to provide a proper foundation for learning English for speakers of other languages.

Here is the link for you:

Please feel free to leave your review. Your feedback is very valuable and important to me.

Can't quite grasp why the article stresses the importance of Google ranking for a blog post that is supposedly directed only at other WA members, and is specifically NOT supposed to promote anything!

Aren't the blogs the tutorial is aimed at using the new WA blog feature and the niche marketing blogs we are engaged in building in the certification lessons, specifically separate and distinct, with their own very different purposes?

Please clarify!

Thank you.

I was merely mentioning the fact that your blog at WA CAN help you to rank if you put a link to it from your website.

It is a two-fold process and Boomer makes mention of it several times.

If you need more help understanding this let me know.

JonnyW Premium
Thank you for your response. I have two follow-up questions, if I may:

1. Who or what is "Boomer"? :-)
2. Kyle's "Rules for WA Blogs"[ states,

"No Promotion" and "No external links". For example, here is a what Kyle's "Rule for Spam" #8 says with respect to WA blog posts,

"Do not [post] anything that is "niche" specific. If you have a dieting website or a website that offers people recipes, these types of posts should be reserved for your own website and not within Wealthy Affiliate."

I'm sure Kyle has good reason for many of these rules, but I'm just having difficulty understanding how one can possibly write freely about one's interests, touch on one's niche focus, illustrate a philosophical or practical point while adhering strictly to the "letter of the law" as stated in the Rules.

This is why I had the question about linking to a niche website in the training about the new blog feature.

As a very new member, I'm not trying to be the gadfly and stir up dissent or dissatisfaction. Just trying to understand how these rules are to be understood and applied in real life without bringing down the wrath of the WA gods on one's head! LOL

So, I think I do still need more help getting clear on this topic.

Thank you for your patience!

Hi Jon - having read your bio, I understand exactly where you're coming from :-) !!

This is 'Boomer'

Just a tip - if you are looking for a member by their username in WA, if you type @ in the search bar at the top this page, and then their name, you'll find a list of profile names also come up... :-)

Your points are valid and justified.

In the beginning it IS hard to know when and where to post what.

At times I saw many of the rules broken and what I did was just wrote to Kyle and asked him about XYZ blog and he would get back to me why it was or wasn't spam - that was the best way I learnt.

There ARE places where you can post and discuss your niche - mainly in the training.

If you need feedback and comments, here are links where you can do that: I've also created a blog to understand the difference between Feedback and Comments: ...and then training on it... Of course, there is also the SiteComments and SiteFeedback platforms where you can earn credits for Commenting and giving Feedback:

Let me know if you need further clarity on this.

Thank you so much for your detailed and very helpful response, Edu. It's always great when someone "gets you"!

I especially appreciated your mention of how you dealt with similar concerns when running across apparent rule violations.

I'd like to review the several trainings you referenced as well. Is there an easy way to save and organize links like these among the WA resources?

[BTW, I followed you]

TopAchiever Premium
Absolutely! :-)

What you do is use the blank star when you have accessed each one - it functions like a bookmark - you add your tag and when you want to find anything you tagged later on, you just click on the star in the search bar at the end of the search bar and it will bring up all your tagged and saved trainings, blogs, posts and video trainings.

See attached image.

Let me know if you need further help with this.

Glad to see you are progressing onward and upward.

Always here to assist, so give me a shout anytime! :-)

PS Thanks for the follow! Much appreciated.

Hello, TopAchiever.

Had not seen your posts before now, but was intrigued and read your bio. I am an American and thus, English is my native tongue, but my national heritage is Dutch on my father's side. My maiden name was Van Baale.

I think it's wonderful that there is special training for non-English speaking members. I admire how well you all express yourselves and think it takes a lot of "guts" to tackle something like WA when it is not your first language.

I have met people on here who speak 3 or more languages, and it amazes me. Americans are way behind the curve on that one. I studied Spanish for one year in high school and had one semester of German in college, but I'm not proficient is either one, as I don't have anyone to practice with.

Kudos to all my friends on WA for whom English is a second language. Hmmm! I think I feel a post coming on!

Hi Carol
Thank you for your kind words!
You can always practice your German with me if you like.
My Spanish is poor, but maybe you can teach me :-)
Kind regards

Hello, Edu. Thanks for the offer, but I'm afraid my German is more lacking than my Spanish! Only had one semester in college, and about the only thing I remember is Guten tag, and Das ist nicht sehr gut! My Spanish is only a trifle better.

I have friends who have grown up bilingual, and I envy them. I think they have a great advantage.

Now why isn't/aren't your website/s listed here so I can visit them!

Now let us keep in touch.

Hey, TA. I haven't talked to you in awhile. I hope everything is going well with you and hope you are having great success! I have a question and thought you could help. On my website, babyshack-babycoolstuff.com, some of my pages/posts have my writings in mixed fonts. Some of the writing is in a small font and some of it is in a regular font. I don't know what happened, but I need to fix this. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks for your time.
