Very sad and disheartened

I received an email today from Google Adsense that they are not approving my site because it does not comply with the Google Adsense Program policies or Webmaster Qualtiy guidelines. It goes on to say that it is important for sites displaying Google ads to offer significant value to the user. As a publisher I must provide unique and relevant content that gives users a reason to visit my site first. Also I am not to place ads on auto-generated pages or pages with little to no original content. And finally, that my site should provide a good user experience through clear navigation and organization with users being able to easily click through my pages and find the information they're seeking.

I really thought my site had good useful information. I've been told that I need to add categories to my site but I've read all the post on them and I don't understand what they are and how to set them up, I've tried and I can't seem to get them to work.

I'm very sad and frustrated and don't know what to do to fix the problems that I seem to have.I don't want to give up but I'm clueless about how to fix things.

Thanks for letting me vent.

Nancy

For my travel website, I was denied twice by Adsense before I was approved. Both denial reasons were the same - not enough content. After the 2nd denial, I waited until I was able to add more content, which took a few months and get my site noticed so it would get some traffic. The WA community helped by increasing traffic and commenting on my website articles.

Disappointments are inevitable: discouragement is a choice. Now is the time to keep going, find out why this happened, how to fix it and rise above this temporary set back.
Thank you for sharing this with us, that's what this community is here for. It is a business and we all experience set backs and disappointments along the way to success.
Keep going Nancy, you will make it and you'll be able to help others as they run into similar situations. I'm cheering for you!!!

I just tried accessing your site through your profile link -- it's still not working six hours after I last tried.

Have you opened a support ticket? If not, click on the SiteRubix menu item on the main WA page (#1 below) and then on the Support item at the bottom (#2 below). Fill in the form to indicate that your site is down (#3 below).

It takes longer than a month to provide enough content to satisfy Google Adsense. Keep going, keep working, keep writing.

When you get to the right lessons you'll learn about creating categories and menus and all the other stuff you'll need to know.

If you don't have much traffic then Adsense won't help your bottom line. It only pays pennies, not dollars. There are much better ways to earn such as affiliate marketing which you will be learning more about as you go through the lessons.

I'm unable to access your site at all from your profile link. I'd suggest opening a support ticket to get the problem investigated.

The email you received looks like a "laundry list" type of response that lists all of the typical reasons for rejecting a site. In all likelihood, it doesn't indicate that your particular site has all of those problems.

I am also unable to access it.

Yes, I mentioned I couldn't access the website a couple of questions back. Still can't access it. When I googled the website name it comes up #1 on Google so Numbergurl is doing something right. It looks like the server is down.

I see that you said you don't know how to set up categories on your site and that one of the problems is navigation through the site. A different theme might help. I started with a theme that I had trouble working with and when I got a different one, things were much easier. It is hard to tell you how to fix things without actually seeing your Wordpress dashboard. Each theme is slightly different but basically works the same way in Wordpress.
Drop your url here if you would like, or if it is on your profile page i will look at it and see what I think about your content and site navigation. I am by far no expert, as my own site is only a few months old. I have had previous experience with Wordpress, so it makes it a little easier, but not much. I will be back in touch to see if I can explain how to set up categories or I will leave you a private message.
Also, you can get help in the Wordpress Classroom by asking questions:

This happens to a lot if members. I read more than once how this makes your website look cheap. Also that you need a lot of traffic first. I never bothered, I've seen websites with it and it looks junky.

Don't be sad, we have all had disappointments, just move forward and try not to think about this anymore.

Hi Nancy,
Some people here won't use google adsense because they say it makes their website look bad. I was also rejecred a couple of months ago. Later finding that unless you have a lot of traffic that you would not really make any money anyway.

Concentrate on adding more content. If you are having issies you can post a Question to the community for help. The answer is here for you.
Dont let GA get you down. You can alway try again when you have a ton of traffic.
Its all good :0)

Do not let it bother you. Google AdSense is not an important step in your ability to make money online. I have been at this for almost 4 years and I still do not have nor do I want Google AdSense on my websites.

You can and will do MUCH better with your affiliate links than you will with AdSense. Once your website matures and starts to bring in hundreds and thousands of unique visitors, you can re-apply to AdSense if you like.

Incredibly long response for me too. I can't get the site to load at all.

The same thing happened to me and i totally understand how you are feeling :(

It is definitely no reflection on the quality of your content which I'm sure is awesome. I found comfort in Kyle's word when he said there are much better ways to earn money through your website than adsense - so I shifted my focus to hitting those low hanging keywords.

Don't let this get you down! Keep going you are doing great :)
