A New All Time High!
Things are really going nuts on one of my blogs this holiday season, and I finally hit an all time high for a bunch of different things. In fact, these are not just all time highs for this blog, they are all time highs for any website I've ever created.
First, I got the most simultaneous visits on my blog at one time: 103 people! This is the first time I've broken the 100 mark.
Second, hit a new all time high for page views in a single day: 17,742! In fact, considering that there's such a stark upward trajectory, I might hit 20,000 pv per day before the end of the year.
Third, I've just made the most money every in a single day from ad revenue. Currently $747, though same as above, this might go higher in the next few weeks, and I'll update this post if it does.
How Did I Do It?
1. This website is 5 years old, so it did take a good amount of time to see these crazy results.
2. I worked consistently over that period of time. No quitting, and no breaks.
3. I picked a broad topic, and published a lot of articles
4. I reinvested profits into outsourcing writing and social media.
5. I followed the Wealthy Affiliate training and focused on finding specific, searchable keywords
Successes like these don't happen over night. Don't stress though, you don't have to grind for 5 years to see any results at all! You'll see little results along the way. Your first sale, your first $100, your first $100 day, then your first $1000 day and beyond.
One key is to work constently, but another part of the equation is to count your small successes. Don't beat yourself up for not going at the speed of a racecar every day. Small, consistent action works great for achieving big results over a period of time, and always look back to see how far you've come... then pat yourrself on the back!
Consistent keyword research and content pubilshing means you need to generate a lot of great ideas. Picking good keywords that were worth my time was a skill I developed while building this website, and I wanted to share those techniques with the community!

I particular think #3 and #4 are useful because I talk a lot about why I pick certain keywords over others, and how I don't waste time by cannibalizing efforts going after similar phrases.

Great to see things going off the scale in the 5th year, as I enter my 4th year there is more hope around the corner.
My Blog has gone from nice and busy, 1000vists a day, and quite profitable, $3-4k a month, to a barren wasteland that makes next to no money at all!

I always wonder if I should Abandon and try a different Niche, but this really shows just how long and how much effort will be needed at this point for a do-over.
I am sure I am better off still weathering the storm knowing that when it passes my ship is ready to go again, stronger and better than before.
I have added 100+ Articles since I was making good money, I have reworked and tweaked hundreds more, My Site is so much better than it was when it was successful. When the desire to Travel returns and it will I am sure things will be far better than they ever were before

You are in the right mindset to keep building even when the slump ends. When stuff gets back to normal, then you will be ready for the pump. People, at least a subgroup of people, are ready to travel regardless of risk, as soon as things open up.
Have you seen my blog post here: Could You Start A Travel Blog Without Actually Traveling? Maybe you can also brainstorm some travel content that doesn't require actual traveling.
I wonder if you use the option "Optimize for Content Length" for the number of in-text ads. I changed it to this option these days to see what happens. Before this, I kept them at low values and this was probably wrong because I have texts with many thousands of words, some over 10k.
All my stuff for this site is high values. I don't know if I have "optimize for content length", but many of my posts are long, so they do have a good number of ads.
I very much agree with your tips and advices! It's very hard to see in the beginning that it CAN happen, and you CAN make your first $100, first $1000 month, first $50,000 etc. As long as you are patient and do the work (and know what you're doing). That's the real secret here. Congrats on your new milestones, Nathaniell!
Thanks! What's even crazier is that next year, and next year, and beyond can get better and better. Can't wait for $1000 day's from ad revenue. That's the next big goal for me!
Wow. Congratulations bro. That's great but I'm surprised how are you making $747 USD from ad revenue per 17,000 traffic? I'm asking it because I think I need your help. I'm also getting around 13,000 traffic a day but still I'm earning only around $150 per day average. So, where did I make a mistake? Is this your ad revenue coming from one website or from multiple websites? Is it from AdSense or some other ad network?
This is Mediavine. If you are able to create such amazing traffic, you should have more benefits from it. They are a bit exclusive regarding the number of pageviews but no doubt they will accept you with such traffic.
Definitely try MediaVine or Adthrive. Both great ad networks. With 13k visits a day you can be making much more money! Depends on your niche though - they may not allow certain niches if it's adult industry stuff or gambling, but general niches are usually fine.
You can also try Ezoic if your site is not hosted at Wealthy Affiliate.
I'm using AdSense. So do you think MediaVine is more good than AdSense? My niche is about reviews on scam online stores as well as other scams. So, do you think I will be making more money from MediaVine than AdSense?
If I'm already using AdSense, can I put both MediaVine and AdSense together or will it be against the law of MediaViine or AdSense?
Can I add the same AdSense account to MediaVine?

I've read somewhere online the other day that we must keep on producing quality content because we never know when the "sticky factor" will hit one of our articles.
When an article becomes "sticky" is when it continues to generate money long after being published and long after it was in high rankings (and remains in high ranking).
The weird and funny part about this is we never know which article will become sticky, so we must write all of them as if it was meant to be one, and of course, as you so eloquently say in your post here, choose our keywords very wisely 🙂
