I found a neat trick to stop embedded videos at any given time.
Hello everybody.
I usually don't blog about my own trainings, but I will make an exception in this case.
I think it is just too important and everybody should know about it.
When I was looking for a Youtube video today that would fit my product review, I just couldn't find a good one that didn't display a form of advertisement at the end of the video.
They all displayed the URL of a site that sells that product.
Now, I want to keep my visitors on my site and buy from there and don't type in the URL of a competitor they see on the screen.
I did a little research and found out how I can stop embedded videos at any given time!
When they watch the video on my site, it will just stop before it displays the URL of that other site.
The good thing is that this is very easy to achieve.
You only need to add a little extra to the embed code.
Head over to my video to learn how it's done and stop advertising for your competition!

All the best.

Thanks Moritz this is good stuff. I had been using one temporarily with the URL and now I know how to get around it.

Yes, that was annoying me for quite some time, so today I tried to find a solution for it.
Here it is. ;)

Great share Moritz, your timing it great. Thank you.
I am taking a course in YouTube video creation.
This could prove very helpful.
Cool.
I know quite a lot about Youtube (title, tags, description, creative commons, thumbnails, etc.)
If you need any help or info, just send me a message and I might be able to help. :)

I wonder about legality of changing videos. You are using them for free.
Thanks, Jovo.
I know what you mean and I thought about it.
But I am not really changing the video. I only make it stop earlier, I don't cut the ending away, it's still there.
If they go on Youtube to watch it, it will play the whole video.
But I might write Youtube and ask them about it.
Thank you Moritz, I appreciate your reply, I am not sure, just asking.
Please keep us posted on your findings and thank you for training
You're welcome.
Just wrote a question and will see what they answer.
