Hello Community!!

I've tried utilizing the WA "tall" banners on my sidebar on my website - but they won't show up? What am I doing wrong here?

I used the sidebar

This video should help

Hey Cody,

The browser you're using to view your work, do you have an AdBlocker add on installed in that browser? If so that's why you're not able to see the banner. Been there ... done that. Try viewing your work with a different browser.

Hope this helps.

IT was my Adblock :) I actually forgot I had it! Thanks!!

LOL, glad to have helped you out Cody. T'was Loes who woke me up 'bout that ... and I'm a website designer! Goes to show you that NONE of us are perfect and that we truly DO help each other out.

I suggest you do it this way:

1. First download the banner image to your computer.
2. Upload the banner to your Media library.
3. Create a DRAFT post in WP editor and insert the
image. Probably need to center it.
4. Don't forget to add your affiliate link to the banner image
within the WP editor. Tick 'open in a new window' for the link.
5 Switch to text mode in WP and copy the exact code from the
Draft post into the sidebar text widget.

Make sure the width of the sidebar is sufficient to contain the width of the banner.

Hello WA community!

I use the theme Astrid, and by default it also includes pages in the footer - which I dislike.

There's no option in the free, nor pro version

In some themes the footer doesn't show anything unless there is something in those widgets, so maybe look at your widgets...

There may also be something in the menu settings that would apply, if it's putting a menu in your footer.

Thanks for replying! I've checked through my widgets and nothing's affecting that, nor does it have a footer menu. It may just be how the theme is =/.

First make sure you haven't missed the footer settings option in your theme. The next thing to do is edit the footer file, but highly not recommended if you don't know coding and the changes will be wiped out when the theme updates if you don't use a child theme (which I don't know how to do).

Third option, change to a theme that has footer settings option.

Thanks! I've concluded I may have to research child themes and play with the code, which I've done a bit already.

Hello WA community!!

I'd liek to incorporate ads on my website. I notice as part of my theme "Astrid" there's no integral option for something like this.

Does any

Once you have ads to put, you can generally embed the code they give you into a "text" widget box and place it where you want from there.

You can apply for Google Adsense if your site has more than 20 posts. :)

Any suggestion or experiences for "side" widgets?
