Has anyone read the "Third Circle Theory by Pejman Ghadimi"?
I've been reading through his book over my lunch hours at my day job, and something really resonated with my and I'd like to share it with you brilliant folk! Which phase are you in?
Formal education: This is the stage EVERYONE knows about and has gone through - or still is going through. The stage what society and your parents think is absolute. While there's nothing wrong with formal education, one can argue it lacks certain life skills, it's more-so preparing you to somewhat survive after post secondary. I can go deep here but I'll leave this up to interpretation :)
Self-education: This is the stage where MOST of you reading this are at right now. Think of it, why are you part of Wealthy Affiliate? Your High school sure didn't tell you to sign up! You're seeking something more, something that the regular education system cannot teach you, you're beginning to learn about yourself, what fulfills you and makes you feel complete and satisfied. Think back however long that may have been, why did YOU join us here at Wealthy Affiliate?
Selective education: This stage is where SOME of us may be at. Think of it like our well known niches, we've graduated from that awareness that is self-education to a point where we know exactly what we want to pursue IE our passion. We know what fulfills us and we know WHY we do what we do. Some may consider this stage to be the "awakening" stage, as if we're realizing that going through school, choosing post secondary, and grinding out the 9 to 5 just won't cut it for us.
If you're not quiet at the selective education stage, do not give up! Time is indeed the most valuable resource we have, but grinding the 9 to 5 is not sustainable, were trading our time for money, and most likely not enough to feel freedom, and create our lives work around our passions and communities.
After all, our websites aim at educating our audience about something or rather, right? Knowing that, it helps remind me what I offer my audience, and it makes me keep my content true and transparent. We need to help each other.
