Not Happy With Amazon
Into the 3rd month of Wealthy Affiliate. Getting my website put together and feeling good about it when Amazon emails me and tells me I cannot be an affiliate marketer. I am still changing things around in my website that have nothing to do with Amazon.
Do yourself a favor and don't use Amazon pictures and products because they will turn around and tell you that you can't market their products after you have your website set with Amazon products.

I been sent the message also, they told me any sale even the free bible download will prevent them from closing my account
I did have a sale. They said I was using their information illegally??? I didn't understand because I had their products for sale and I wasn't dealing with them anymore so I moved on to different affiliate companies.
I haven't sold any Amazon products yet and am waiting for the email I am sure is coming. I'm ok with it though cuz I am using other affiliates as well.
I understand your frustration though.
They give 6 months to have at least one purchase. You can ask somebody to order something through your link and save you from trouble. Do not wait for bad news. You will be selling later much more.
I'm not particularly happy with them either. They emailed me just before Christmas, cancelling my account for my new website that had only been active a month, had over 3,000 page views and I even had a sale, and yet they still cancelled the account. The amount of work that I had to do to get a new amazon account and change all the links on my 137 pages/posts was incredible, especially over the Christmas holidays. I certainly sympathize with you.
I thought so as well Jovo! Unfortunately, I deleted the email and don't remember what their reason was.
Oh wow sounds like you had a hard time also! I had a sale also and they still cancelled me as an affiliate marketer. I was so upset I took a break for a while, now just getting back in the swing of things.
Oh my!!! That sounds horrendous!!! I just got the OK from Amazon to set up my account....I'll tread carefully.....
If your website is still being built just apply again when you have decent content and structure.
Usually not a problem then.
It's unfortunate that you had that experience with Amazon Melissa; the reality is that any affiliate program we start with, is going to be trial and error. Luckily there are thousands others to choose from; if it's any consolation, Kyle mentioned several times in his training that Amazon tends to pay very low commissions.
All the best in finding that perfect fit Melissa!
Thanks! Yes I understand the low commission but when you are new to all of this you are going through the motions and when I learned you can use pictures from Amazon that's when I got caught up with them. I did find others with higher commission and am working on changing my website.
Melissa, I am sorry you had this problem. Where you using their pictures separate from the image in their links? I have not tried that. I only use the image that is generated when you get a product link. Otherwise, I take my own pictures etc.
I have to say, they are frustrating but I will stick with them. I think the name recognition is important. I don't make sales with my other affiliates, just Amazon. Of course I have not put in nearly as many links to other affiliates.

Amazon aren't the be all and end all, although they like to think they are sometimes I think they get too big for their boots.
Yes I see.
