Turn a post into a page.
I would like to know if you can turn a post into a page. And how could you turn a page into a post?
I have several pages and posts I would like to change around but not sure how to do it.
If there is training I would like to know where to find it.
Thank you all, you're the best!!!
Marty:-)

Does it convert the images and banners? I always have trouble finding the word press plug ins. I tried a search and found it as a down load . But I don't think that is right.
It just convert the post totally into a page and visa verse, you don't see the difference, only you can add tags to the converted post
Hello Marty. As what Jovo says, using the pType Converter plugin is easier than doing it manually by copying then pasting. I always use this plugin whenever I want to convert a post into a page and vice versa.
Hi Marty there is a plugin which will do it easily, I have used it many times. It is pTypeConverter. When you finish you just deactivate it.
Whenever I want to turn a page into a post I just use copy and past to create the post, then delete the page or convert it to just a saved page. This method works for the other way around too page to post.
That would only happen if they knew the page was there to look for it. That would happen no matter how you change the site if you are changing around pages and post. It's best to do those thing in the beginning stages of your site, when you are making drastic changes anyway.
It is not about visitors, webmaster tool reports errors. You cannot remove pages just like that, must use redirect.
That makes sense. Redirecting is also done easy enough. I haven't had to change any pages/post in a long time but thanks for the heads up if I do need to do it in the future.
At this time, i am more interested in making several posts pages. Do I
have to do redirects on posts?. Is P type converter a word press plugin? When I was looking for it I found a download with a warning that it hadn't been updated in several years. This may be something else with a similar name.
I did not check when it was updated, but this is not important, You will use it for a couple of minutes and deactivate, This is not a plugin which must stay active, Yes it is WP plugin of course. No you do not have to redirect. See how it was in my case: subpages have their own url and the same is with posts. So changing their nature does not affect url.
Thanks, but I do that and then have trouble doing the search. I try to find it by topic at the bottom but couldn't locate the correct topic.
At the top of the page is a search box that works but it is not always there. Must be computer Gremlins.
Hi, actually the only way I know to do it is to copy the page or post into a new one ( and paste the content) and then delete the old one ... if someone has a better way it would be great, this way is kind of a hassle but is the way that I do it now.
check and make sure your links are working still, I did have to fix one or two when I pasted them over .... hope this helps a bit
I think just copy them then 'add new' "post" or "page" and paste them. Then delete the one's you don't want..
