There has been a huge increase in attacks on WordPress websites recently. Wordfence Blog
Most of the sites that have been hit are those that have not updated to WordPress 4.7.2. This was a security update which everyone should have applied.
If you haven't updated your website to WordPress 4.7.2 then do it now. Don't put it off because tomorrow may be too late.
Back up your website first Full Backup With a Plugin
Then update WordPress and all your plugins and themes that need to be updated Updates

Yes WP/Automattic declared this flaw was discovered on the 20th Jan or thereabouts, and the fix was formally released on the 26th Jan.
As is usual droves of folks have not gotten around to it, so in the last 24-72 hours a slew of sites/pages have been exploited, highlighting the need to update to the latest patched version...
So agree with Marion, update now.
