Don't Update WordPress Yet
There's a big update to WordPress about to happen. Last time I looked it was scheduled for April 12, 2016.
I'm not talking about a security update. This is a big one.
The last big update broke one of my sites so I'm warning everyone that this change has the potential to wreck your website(s).
Back Up
Before you update make sure you back up completely.
You need to use Tools > Export to save your posts, pages and comments
And you need to back up your plugins, themes and everything else using WP Clone
Yeah, I know SiteSupport backs up your website regularly but you should take responsibility for your own security too.
What would happen if SiteSupport got inundated with requests to restore websites to the pre-update condition? Would you have to join a queue?
If you back up and the new update doesn't break your site then there's no harm done.
WordPress Editor
If you've made any changes using WordPress Editor then it's possible that those changes will be overwritten when your theme is updated to accommodate the new WordPress version.
I recommend using a child theme to make changes to the CSS
Change Fonts With a Child Theme
Let's make this a positive experience

Update
I've created a new blog for us to list any issues and complaints about the update. If you have any negative experiences, or you've fixed an issue, please add to the comments there so we can help each other.

Thanks I changed my theme and do not see the pages I created. I'm still in the process on creating my website..
You'll get there :)
