Hi guys so I'm a little discouraged because I've been working on my website for 2 days now and I've literally got one page done. A niche that I'm interested in shouldn't have m

Honestly it is like an e-commerce thing. You review, talk about and guide people to the items you feel are a valkue to them. When they purchase items from those places you would get a commission. You can only do that if you become an affiliate with that product (company). Does that help?
~D

Malissa you are being to hard on yourself just take your time, I choose a niche I had worked in for sometime and still found it a challenge getting it from my head to words, it gets easier as you go and once you have content etc you can then monetize

Hiya Mali, what a great Niche - first step is to choose 3 menu page headings then 10 topics within each primary heading that should give you 30 pages to write Creative and interesting Content... How about these ideas for starters...

Party + Decorations
Home + Renovations
Event + Decorations and then you could also Google each of the above to find affiliate program's and goods and services to promote
[..........] + Affilliate programs

Hope this helps kick start your creative juices... following with interest cheers Tracey

I would tend to agree with the other responses here. This is something that is hard to find. I just tried. So an authority site should start ranking fairly quickly in this respect. Just keep working on it. This is real business you aren't going to become rich overnight. A wealthy man once said it took him ten years to become an overnight success. Nowadays with all the information available it shouldn't take anyone near that long if they have the drive and determination to get what they want out of life. Good job and keep going!

Good niche and good suggestions here so far... Not sure of the competition, but likely low? I would move in the direction of creating my own decorations under your brand... More profit for you and building out the brand... As others have said, you can create a vanilla brand if you don't want your name on it... Check out my resources blog posts, there are some free sites to create a logo... Best of luck! Dave

I agree with the members who've already responded. There are a great deal of things you can offer within this niche. The keywords indicate a lot of people searching for this type of info and product. I say let your creativity flow and offer the type of info you yourself would be interested in receiving. Trust me if you're interested in it, there are a lot of people interested, and looking for suggestions of where they can purchase these decoration items, but if you're not comfortable putting your face to the brand, create one. Avatars are great in that field. I believe everyone searching in that realm would like a little discretion. Just my opinion

i agree with moritz. i think its a great niche. you could also do tutorials and do it yourself at home so that you can take pictures, or you tube vids on specific topics.
you could do tutorials on DIY decorations. or tips on how to save money when decorating, or budget decorating.
i think its a really cool idea, and its def something that people would do a search for to figure out when wanting to decorate

That's just it Malissa326 sound like you are conflicted about it because you don't want your audience associating you with the product. Follow your gut if it doesn't feel right that's a pretty good indication that you shouldn't do it, do a list of all the other decoration target markets you can find making the adult decorations last on your list. There are many great niches out there so maybe table this one, and come back to it later. Remember follow your gut follow your heart Wish you the best.

I think it's a great niche.

You can write about different themes of decorating.
Like birthday, halloween. marriage, other seasonal party themes, etc.

What materials to use, general tips and tricks, maybe DIY, etc.

Don't worry, finding topics to write about can be difficult at the beginning.
Try to think out of the box or look at your competitors for inspiration.

Cheers
Moritz

Thanks for the tips and encouragement Moritz! I will open the site back up and see what I can do tonight. You really helped. Thanks!

Cheers
Mali

Is it not your aim to monetize the site? You would probably need to find product within your niche that you could become affiliated with

Yeah, it sounds like a good niche you just need to master product reviews :)

Hi guys so I'm a little discouraged because I've been working on my website for 2 days now and I've literally got one page done. A niche that I'm interested in shouldn't have m

Relax, focus on the moment and imagine your conversing with a friend or family. Yo may want to stretch the niche a bit to company, graduation and special occasion parties. Good luck.

Hey there.

Sounds like you've got writers block! It can be tough to know what to write sometimes and I've run into these difficulties as well. Whenever I'm stuck I try to look online a bit and see if I can find anything that relates to my niche.

Another thing you may want to try is the alphabet soup technique Kyle mentioned in the training. If you're unfamiliar with this, it's when you go into Google and type for example:

"party decorations a"...
...and see what comes up in the recommended searches.

then try "party decorations b"
...and see what comes up.

You can do this for every letter and once you find something that interests you and you think you can write a lot about, you can write a post about it.

I'd suggest Googling "party decorations for"...

Also, maybe you want to consider switching your niche from adult party decorations to just party decorations. Adult party decorations is a very specific niche so expanding your niche a bit could help you get more content while still writing about what you love.

Hope this helped!

Kyle

Hey Kyle!
Thank you sooooooooo much! This really helped! And I was so worried about my niche being too broad that I didn't consider it may be too specific. Initially I did want to involve all decorations but in my experience it's much harder to find decorations for adult themes. I think I will reintroduce that back into my website! I'll try the ABC technique too! Thanks for the in depth advice and good luck with hdtv.com. I'm sure I'll see it all over soon!

Thanks! Glad I could help!

Just remember that the more content your site has, the more traffic it will get, no matter what your niche is.

If you have any other questions please just ask!

Let me ask a question. When you say adult party are you meaning like parties for adults or adult parties for sensual accessories and sexual items?

Nothing sexual. Things like birthday party accessories and parties with themes like Mardi gras

Hi guys, it's been a long day for me! I made a few good friends and I also started on my website! This is definitely hard work that I will feel very happy and accomplished to c

Hi Malissa,
You are definitely NOT ALONE!. We've all been there. You did not become premium too soon, rather, you now have access to more training and supplies than if you were a free member. Amazon is a difficult affiliate program to apply for, but you can still do it. Be careful of any fees. There are a million other affiliate programs out there, that you can offer the same products through. You should keep working hard and diligently on your site, but setting up affiliate arrangements also takes time, and you can certainly start setting these up too on the side. Then you'll be ready when your site is ready for them. Try www.shareasale.com for affiliate opportunities. I hope I made this a little clearer for you. Believe me when I tell you, the training is extensive and easy to learn. Just stop worrying and go for it!
Ron

Malissa if I were you I'd take everything step by step. Get your website up and running first. Add a few keyword rich posts to start getting your site recognized in the search engines. The making money part does not happen overnight, and I think you should not worry too much about that until you've got the groundwork done first.

Hi Kennick! Thanks for your advice! The money part is furthest from my mind (I don't even have a finished website). I guess what's confusing me is that I thought I had to have my links right now. My website is mainly products and supplies that I recommend. Are you saying that I should just write about these products now and then deal with directing my audience to the product at a later time?

One of the most important things to remember is that it dos not matter what product, service or information you are eventually going to market, your audience (traffic, visitors) needs to get confidence in your ability. You need to demonstrate an authority on the subject you have chosen that hopefully puts you ahead of your competition.I would start with your "About Me" page to build audience confidence and slowly add unique content which helps to solve your audiences problems or teaches them something. Gaining their confidence will go a long way to eventually turning that confidence into sales.

I'm a new member who just went premium and now I am about to start buikding my websites. I would really like to dedicate my time to two of them at the same time. They are both

awesome ! just thoroughly answered my question.

As a beginner 1 niche 1 site will be ideal. You can focus & put in your best effort without many distraction.

I believe that focusing on one site would be more beneficial in the long run. I did it and now I have to go back to one that I could fully develop. Content-writing consumes so much of your time. Try one first. Once you've got it set up running and beginning to generate some income, then you can go ahead and start with another one.

I'd definitely focus on 1 site. Having 2 or more sites is just way too much work.

Start with one and once you have the bulk of it done you can start doing your next one, don't take on too much at first.

If you are just starting , two websites will be a big challenge, there is a lot of work to be put in and a lot of content to create. I already had one website when I joined and started another, this was difficult for me to manage and I'm not new to this.

Thank you for the advice dj, I think I'm going to take a moment and decide which one I want to start with now.

Hi Malissa.

Personally I think that building and focusing on just one in the beginning is quite enough and already demanding.

I have one main one that I build to promote programs like WA and talk about the experience I had with others.

I have another one but I focus more on the first one. So I tend to neglect it a little.

Hi Guy,
Thank you! I think I will stick to one for awhile then! I don't want to neglect one of them. I just have so many passions and I'm finding it very difficult to narrow it down.

I understand that I tend to have the same problem in finding a subject for a website that's why I choose to build the one I do now because it's relatively easy to talk about the subject because I'm on it every day.

I wish you success with yours!

same here, i get distracted with my make money online site and neglect my addiction recovery site
