About Missa3

My name is Debra. I live in a small community with my husband and the youngest two of my three boys. My oldest is off at college and my youngest two graduate high school this year. My husband and I are rather well known for our paranormal experiences, but that is besides the point.

I am recently unemployed and disabled with two high school seniors that are always on the go. I am a person who needs to keep busy and feel accomplished at the end of each day. Normally, I can't even watch a movie without multi-tasking.

In every project I have ever undertaken, I have always put in 110% ;, Recently, I have discovered that my efforts outside the home are not beneficial to my health or my family. 35 years of working for someone else to fulfill their desires in life is disenchanting and unremarkable; I'm tired of putting 110% into someone else's bottom line.

I think now is a good time for change. It would be a wonderful thing to be able to generate full-time income on my own terms.

Last several days I have looked at many home based options, and although it would be nice to get rich quick, I know the only path is laying a good strong foundation and building from there. I'm excited about WA and have a strong feeling that WA is the best place fo mr to be in order to make my dream a reality.

I have begun my niche website and hope to grow it into a decent affiliate business, Of course it is a work in progress and I would be happy to hear constructive criticism from fellow affiliates. http://letsgrowachild.com/meet-debra

With that said, Hello to you all and welcome to the first successful day in my future.

Update:

So a little more than 5 months in and I think things are starting to fall in place. I have found my niche a hard one to break in to with a loud enough voice in to make the ranks, but looking at the numbers, roughly 30% of my 70+ posts are finally ranking on page 1 (some on page 2) of a Google search.

I have learned such a great deal here. Had a few hurdles (not truly understanding how the keywords really did the best job, had making a theme change in mid stride) which have set me back some. but I knew this wasn't going to e easy.

I took a hard approach to all of this. I am striving for an authority niche, and a broad one at that. I see now why it was suggested to narrow it down, but looking at things now I like where it is all going anyways. I think my focusing in such a wide niche is also what has taken me so long to rank and get the attention I want for my site too.

I've never taken the easy route though, and this is no exception. I'm very proud of wat I've accomplished and I can honestly say that I NEVER lack for something to write about. I probably have 15 half written articles, 5 researched keywords and titles, and a list of 20-25 topics I'd love to write on; all at any given moment of the day or week.

Although I haven't made the big money yet, I do see the light and remain super excited about the possibilities. I still get up each day just as excited as I was that first week. I feel blessed that I came across WA.

Late last month I also began transferring a website I used to host at Godaddy www.thesalliehouse,com. It's been a huge undertaking as it was over 300+ pages of content; not including a photo and EVP gallery, and not to mention a forum. Although I am having to rebuild the site into a WordPress format, it's giving me a better understanding of the site structure.

I'm still trying to figure out how to incorporate a photo/audio gallery in a WP theme, but I'm sure when I get there I will figure something out. Monetizing the transferred site is also something I hope to be doing soon.

I really think I made a good choice when I chose the same theme for the transferring site as my WA site. The theme is a huge asset with many option and working on one give me insight to the capabilities of the other; one being a blogging site the other not.

As I search for information and apply it, go through more training and experiment, I constantly feel like I am in information overload, but it keeps me and my mind active. I work 8-12 hours a day /6 days a week. I am bound and determined to make this work.

With that said, I want to shout a big thank you to so many people those who helped me out and who's success becomes my goal , like Lois and Apache, and those who continue to leave me great comments and have stuck it out as long as I have, remaining as committed to striving for the end goal as myself, like Jyl, AnaSantos, Linda, Marcpasrons, Emily, Demi, Anthony, Lauren, Sarah and so many others who I have meet and consider friends.
I raise my glass high to you all and wish you the best of success

Following was in part because of you musician profile. I have a son who has Asperger's and who dreams of doing just that. Thought in following your blogs I might pick up some good pieces of advise to share with him.

In reading your profile I saw that you were from the Buffalo area. I am originally from Cheektowaga, Born on the city's east side. Its nice to meet you and thanks for the welcome

LOL, I understand. I had an aunt that lived in Rochester, half way to NY City if my memory serves me, right?

Nope, only an hour East of Buffalo.

Hi Debra, it was nice chatting with you in live chat. Good luck with your class and let me know if you have more questions. And of course, one of these days I'd like to hear about the paranormal reference you'd mentioned!

Thank you Steve, and WOW on the classes. I sorta went squirl when I read the tutorial on 6 ways to make money with your wordpress blog, Feeling a little overwhelmed trying to start my site here and understanding all the elements that are being talked about or referencedand I'm only on lesson two.

As far as the paranormal thing, do you have an interest? Have you ever heard of the Sallie House?

Hi Debra, it'll make sense soon enough, just ask when you have questions. There are a many ways to go once the basics are understood.

I've always been interested in unexplained phenomena, and checked out the Sallie House history and site. Whew, that one has a lot going on!

Yeah, I would love to eventually move it to WA, but it is HUGE, so I want to be able to understand the finer points here first. The site is rather dated and for the most part difficult to manage. It was put together with a wing and a prayer (whatever that means. LOL I should look up where that saying came from) and about 10 years old. I know and want it to be much better.

It can be a big job to move hardcoded sites like that, but once ported into something like Wordpress, they become much easier to update and/or change appearance. The phrase "On a wing and a prayer" apparently started in a 1942 move (with John Wayne) called "The Flying Tigers." It was subsequently used in a popular 1943 patriotic song called "Coming in on a Wing and a Prayer."

Your a hoot, thanks for the Google reference, I too had googled it last night. LOL

And yes, moving it will be a wee bit of a chore, but I can already see the advantages and user friendly ways to edit it through WordPress over Dreamweaver.

Google sure is handy sometimes! We can easily find the most obscure information. It's a universal library of sorts, like the Great Library of Alexandria on steroids.

I'd send you a PM, but that requires premium on both ends. I'll contact you via the house site.

Hey Debra!

Welcome to Wealthy Affiliate my friend! Just in case you forgot, I am Eddy with a y. LOL We met back on my blog: http://www.WorkAtHomeNoScams.com. I'm happy my babbling didn't scare you away and you had enough trust in me to give WA a shot!

Trust me when I say you made the right decision and you're going to love this community! You're on your way to building a long term online business like yours truly did because of the training and support here at WA!

That said, let's get you started on the right note so you can get the most out of your time here. As a new member, the first thing you should do is fill out your account profile. Don't even trip, it's really easy to do. All it consists of is the following simple steps:

(1) Add your profile image
(Can be anything you want. Just don't make it dirty. lol)

(2) Add a personal description.
(Let us know about yourself and why you're here at WA!)

That's it!

If you do these simple steps it will really show you're serious about learning how to succeed at this business and people will be more likely to answer your questions and help you if they see you've taken the two minutes to complete your profile. If you need help on doing this, watch the following video: Next you should definitely check out the "Get Started Here" training. This is going to get you up and running with your own website very quickly and has a lot of really easy to follow video training that is going to help this whole "process" make sense.

Here is a direct link to this training: If at any time you need help, just ask. There are a ton of good folks here within the community that will be more than happy to help you out and within the first 7 days of your Starter membership you are going to have access to Live Chat, so make sure you check that out. Just remember people are more inclined to help you if you've completed your account profile as described above.

I also have sweet bonus for those of you that are "action takers"...

HOW TO CLAIM YOUR BONUS
-----------------------------------------------

If you join Premium within the first 7 days, here are some bonuses that I am going to be giving you:

(1) You are going to get a 59% discount on your first month Premium membership (only $19)

(2) You are going to get personal and private access to me! If you ever have a question or need help with your campaigns, I will be there and even the owners of WA (Kyle & Carson) will be able to offer you personal mentoring.

(3) I am going to be giving a special "Diamond Traffic Bonus"

But only if you join in your first 7 days (this is what I call my "action takers" bonus).

Anyways, I thought I would personally welcome you. As you can see I don't just promote WA, I'm actually here as a member waiting to help you! So reach out to me. Start by filling out your profile. Don't be shy. I won't bite.

Again, it's great having you as a member of WA! It truly shows you're serious about earning a legitimate living online and WA will show you the process I've used to be successful!

I look forward to reading your profile and hearing from you. So go fill that out now. I really want to know more about you so I can help you achieve your goals!

Speak to you soon Debra!

Your buddy,
Eddy with a Y. (Get it right. LOL)

P.S. If you have any doubts that this business is real or if it will work for you, check this little article out: When you see what companies are already involved in this business, it's going to be eye opening!
