How to Tell if Your Content is Indexed in Google
Ever wonder if your content is indexed in Google?
In this video, I will show you a super easy way to tell if your content is indexed in Google by using a rad featured right inside of WA!
Being indexed in Google is the first step to your content's journey through the search engines.
It's important to stay on top of your content and determine if it's indexed and this nifty little trick is how you can tell!
Terminology
- Indexed: When your post/page has been inserted into Google but not yet ranking for any keywords
- Ranked: When your post is ranking in Google for a variety of search terms
Enjoy!

Always great videos. I always learn something even by accident. However, still a little confused. But what I did pickup was that it could take a little while for the pages to get indexed. I finally got around to setting up google console yesterday. 9/12/ I am getting ready to launch. You sent me an email this morning that my site autonymouswrittenletters.com had been indexed by Google. So I take it, that it will take a while to index the individual pages - or should the be indexed now?
Hi Jay
I believe that works well if the WA platform is used for publishing. I.e., if posts and pages are published directly in WordPress, WA has no record of them.
;-)

I wondered about that too. Most of mine are not publish from the WA platform, interested in the answer.

I have a question. There are several published articles on Site Content still with a black G, showing that they have not been indexed. A couple dating back to June. I just checked and all of my published articles have been indexed, including my latest article that was published about 5 days ago (don't worry I am publishing another one today). Do I need to be concerned about anything?
Thank you! I will try that. I just wanted to make sure there wasn't some type of problem that I was overlooking.
I have had the same issue as you. I do not know why it does not show that it is indexed in site content so I don’t go based on this. I use google analytics to check
Thank you so much for answering my question. Like I said, I just want to make sure I hadn't done something wrong. It's so weird though that a post of 2 months ago shows it is not indexed, when it is. But the last article, I did a few days ago already shows that it's indexed. Anyhoo, thanks again for responding!
