Facebook is spying on you!

Like and Share buttons

Every page you visit with follow, like and share buttons is in the data bases of Facebook. Not only the things you share on Facebook are known. Also every page with buttons on it is registred by Facebook.

Facebook pixel buttons

(10x enlarged)

Beside that, Facebook is going one step further down the line of respecting our privacy. They also offer a FB-pixel - as small as a needle - to companies. They put that, invisible, on their websites, and every move you make on a website with a pixel is registred too.

Medical records

But that is not all, Facebook even asked for the medical records from big American hospitals with the intention to combine data and detect if people need help of any kind.

Very enlightning video!!

Facebook/ Sunday with Lubach

(Youtube video; You can hit the translate key)

GSM data

Say what? They even have record on our GSM data??

11th of April

Mark Zuckerberg will testify regarding the company’s use and protection of user data.

Congressional oversight committee in Washington DC

What do you think about the spying practices of Mark Zuckerberg's Facebook? I am really curious for your opinion.

What FB has been doing is not right but hopefully it is a bigger wake up to where this kind of misuse and abuse can lead if we don't ensure controls are in place.

I wrote a post about it over the weekend. ~Mark :)

Thank you, Mark, it's a wake-up call for sure. FB is not the only one. When you want to download an app, you give permission to view your complete phone content, that's weird, and when you say no, you can't download the app

Thank you Loes. This stuff is too scary for me. I keep waiting for the time I am online, fart and air freshener ads pop up! tee hee.
Seriously, how far can this go, will I get a text telling me not to order onions on my pizza (you know what they do to you). tee hee

Thanks for the links to the videos. Will be interesting to see what Zuckerberg says to Congress. Although I doubt it will be any great revelation.

I am curious about that too, James, you made me smile:)

I truly believe the influence Facebook and many other large companies once had is now changing and rapidly..

I ran a business built on the values of face to face communication for 4 years and ironically it was the exhausting profile on social media that was a contributing reason why I closed the business.

It's not only what we put on Social Media, they buy records too and combine them. From records of shopping groceries to where your car goes and stops during the week and in weekends, everything is collected, combined, they even know if you go to church

I wouldn't be surprised if the generation my son is - they completely go offline - when I said I had deactivated my FB profile he was delighted, he's 11. Many of he and his friends say to us as parents when we take photos - don't post that on social media...

Wow, your son is really smart!

It is for the very reasons above that I've not touched Facebook for several years now. There is no good justifiable reason (including money) these people need our personal information. And if there is no good reason, all that's left are bad reasons.

Google isn't too much better by the way, but they're tougher to back away from than Facebook. Especially for us with sites.

Thanks for keeping your finger on the pulse Loes!

I am writing a post on my website about this right now, and the question raise, what will happen if those giants merge...

More of the same I would suppose. We've all been acclimated to believe that this is just normal and most people don't care that their every move is being monitored. Until of course, something bad happens, or the wrong people get their hands on the info.

If you want to stay on this topic Loes, facial recognition cams being set up at Walmarts are also a good one. Most people aren't even aware of this.

I know they are quite common in China already. Besides that, in China they have a penalty system. When you have lost you 10 points eg. by crossing a red light or making some other mistake, you will never get a job anywhere. You are blacklisted for life.
That happens when the wrong people have the power

Welcome to Big Bro U young lady...

Facebook is the "tip of the iceberg" when it comes to all this, so we're going to have to either go back into door to door or direct mail selling and get rid of all our PC's and devices.

Oh wait, they already have everything on us so it's too late to get out of here.

Zuck will be on the so-called "hot-seat" soon so we will get to see if they will love him or list him (HGTV) - I think they love him too much to (or his money) do anything other than appear to be hard on him.

Oh no, now that I have made a negative comment about ol' Zuck and his antics, he might ban me too like he just did to Diamond and Silk.

A Danger to the community, they said, with no chance of a rebuttal - Yeah right... since when does a business who takes our money and our information get to tell us we can't use the service anymore just for saying how we feel about a certain topic that "they" feel differently about?

Ok you got me started... I better get out of here before I get in trouble too with the thought police!

Dallas

I am not superstitious but I was banned with my PC for 1 hour from the internet after placing this blog online. All other devices in the house had WIFI, but for some dark reason, my computer was blocked.

Sounds like...
Oh, hell, I can't think of anyone else doing it...
Not to worry, Loes, your government will protect you... I think
Is this coming through as the intended sarcasm - ha ha ha?

So, what to do, what to do...
Personally, I believe there's no reason to panic
Danger is real–so, we protect ourselves against the snakes but, fear is the most effective marketing tool... and fear attracts fear

So, What to Do, What to Do!
We gotta stay alert, yes. But above all,
We gotta conquer fear, because...
In Perfect Love there's no fear
- it's like, when you turn the light on in a dark room...
darkness just leaves... darkness just disappears...
and the roaches (doubt) just scatter...

I am not affraid, I am just wondering where this all will end, who the heck is owning all data?
Rothschild, Sachs, Microsoft
http://whoownsfacebook.com/
What happens when all Social Media data comes in a few hands?

I know what you mean, Loes
My comments are for the majority of humans around the world.
This is not an easy to sort out issue because we all have been raised in fear–for the most part.

What I am proposing is:
- Stay alert and safeguard personal info, yes!
- Use the Web Securely and Safely for Personal stuff, and
- Use the Web Wildly for Business only

This sort of thing has been around since cave men...
Some smart-ass realized he was smarter than the dumb-ass (plural is dumb-masses). So, the smart-ass invented Marketing

We're in this love together... the kind that lasts forever, and
this sort of thing will continue for a while... as you can see.
Just look at skylines in major cities - who owns the tallest and best looking buildings - the banks and insurance companies
Study how fiat money was born... the folks you mention have been controlling everything since 'Noah'

Bottom line... there's no bottom line for darkness
This is a transcendental issue–and the reason why counseling, and AA and 12 Steps and the like have the tendency to just perpetuate issues - we love to linger in fear because we don't know better...

This issue takes awakening. This takes a long, long time - Way longer than building an incredibly profitable WA business

The solution, in my view, is to Step Up, Evolve, Become, See Beyond and Remember Who You Are – Remember that darkness has no chance against Light... because:

- Love is Light
- Love Conquers All

So,
Be Aware, Protect Your Family and Have Fun!!

I am aware of this enormous tracking what's going on, but I am in luck, I have an old car, no navigation in it, I regularly leave my phone at home, and I often pay cash for my groceries.
There comes a time that people get punished for the groceries they buy...
Future: "The dentist bill will not be paid by the assurance company, because you bought too many food with sugar and there was to little toothpaste bought"...

There is no privacy anywhere (enlarging Marion's comment).

Between being online, having cameras almost everywhere even in your home sometimes, and everyone wanting to talk publicly about everything -- we're lost.

When the Internet was new I though as Shakespeare wrote: the whole world be came a stage and people were acting out their lives, fears, and fantasies anonymously. Now it is a loss of personal freedom and anonymity. Whatever you do it will eventually come to light. No privacy and no anonymity.

I'm not sure they know what we think before we think it but they are sure trying to direct the way we think. And track the results!

Orwell was only off by about 30 years.

We laughed about Orwell back then

we gone far beyond Orwell now.

If any one checks my Facebook page they'll be confused. My wife uses it (won't create her own) and she's Filipina so there is a lot of Philippines and christian communication -- as you can see from my picture that's not me! lol

Must be so hard being a criminal now - old days no cameras or people with cellphones snapping everything in sight - I'm not condoning crime (everyone will be replying and giving me a hard time) I'm just saying this is one plus of the constant surveillance we're all under.

You are right, this knowledge brings the worst things to the surface too

Have you read 1984?! George Orwell was right! He knew all this was going down as back as 1949!!

Ha. Big brother is real. I suppose we just have to embrace it and find a way to make a little money :)

Now, I think I better get dressed or at least put tape over my camera :) HeHe.

I can tell you, I really have my webcam taped

I figured they will stop spying on me if they have to keep seeing me naked HaHaHa!

Just kidding. I'm usually in my bathrobe :)

Owww, really, is it that bad? You probably receive an overflow of fitness advertisements ;)

Have you spying again? ! Ha!

I am available as a senior fitness model now that I'm over 55 :)

That is a thing right? :) Could be an awesome niche! HaHa

Seriously, do you want a real answer to that?
The first thing that came to my mind was: that's sooner a bump than a hole in the market...

HaHa! I think it's a market! Doing my keyword search as we speak :)

I am used to companies stalking me. Google does it all the time. I don't love it but at the same time, it makes my life a lot easier.

Now if I had something to hide, all this snooping and tracking might be a problem, but I don't.

Amazon and Google and Facebook seem to know what I like and what I don't like which is very convenient. I like getting messages when a pair of sneakers I like is on sale on Amazon.

I appreciate Google telling me when I am near a decent restaurant in Manhattan, especially when I'm hungry.

Artificial Intelligence is here to stay. And it is just going to get more and more sophisticated.

I don't enjoy Facebook anymore, because their interface is no longer fun and enjoyable. I also don't appreciate their inability to keep track of who is using their user data for nefarious purposes.

If they want to stay in business, they will get a handle on this.

AI can be snoopy and intrusive, but it can also save lives. Lots of people in my country live alone and are getting older, I am one of them. If Google or Facebook want to offer assistance if I've fallen and can't get up, I will happily accept their help. :-)

That's also a way of thinking and using social media for your own convenience

I have assumed from the very beginning that everything I do and say online can be seen by people who are not always acting in my best interests. This all comes as no big surprise to me.

I think it is wrong, especially since there seems to be no privacy setting that was not affected. I'm not sure if my political association could be gleaned from what I posted or said because I tried to stay neutral on Facebook. I am the member of several groups that have to do with health issues and I know that there are people of every persuasion in these groups.

In one group, I was an admin, and I tried very hard not to alienate anyone. There are some people whom I would have lost their trust if I played politics. My Twitter account is the complete opposite. I tweet a lot of political things there, but it is a different set of friends and I am not in fear of alienating anyone. Not that I think Twitter is any safe when it comes to other entities gleaning information to use and distort for their own purposes.

Anita

Thank you Anita, what would happen when all platforms come together into one pair of hands?

If coming together would take the best features and policies from each platform, it could be great!

Haha, that's exactly what I always say about all the faith flows:)
