Do you know you get paid for writing training at WA? [little rand]

Last Update: May 21, 2018

Yes, that right! You can earn money for this. A maximum of $75 dollars per training you write.

How does this work?

Until now, one training of me has completed all levels with 649 likes/ 724 comments cq views/shares.

My latest training, I worked on for 12 hours to write out the transcript for the Walkthrough video and create screenshots, for the community. It didn't even completed level 1=$5 with 25 likes and 12 comments.

And to be honest and tell you my feelings about this training

I am good but not crazy.

I know, for sure, many people here, are dissapointed in the likes they get for there effort of writing training for the community. They are giving their free time to please everyone as much as possible and make it as easy as possible for everyone to give information about subjects.

I think a little more appreciation would be appropriate here.

Hi Loes,

You've presented information I did not know. It prompts me, not only to comment on every training I find in my email, but also, to read it completely within my best time frame.

I learn from your example. Now, I know the reason & value to acknowledge every members' comments.

You give us nuances for success & embellishment. Thank you. Please continue to support us.

That is unbelievable Loes.
I can not believe that is all the likes your training received. Especially after all that you do for this community FOR FREE.
I wonder if Marion or any of the others have had this experience?

I know I have been disappointed numerous times on just what my blogs on WA receive. I would definitely be upset if I put that amount of time and effort into training in order to help others and received that little of response and appreciation.

Just know that you are very much appreciated and all that you do for us. I appreciate you : )

That's what I thought too when I started out here, Jason, my English was terrible, I had to do the certification course 3 times before I got it into my brain. I still do not chat, that goes too fast.

I am not a native English speaker, and the first thing some WA-er said was, get Grammarly. Man, that helped me so much!
https://www.grammarly.com

I do here multiple courses for the price of one. I learn English reading, writing, sometimes speaking, I learn to build a website, I have a free keyword research tool, I learn all about affiliate marketing, and in the meantime, I get paid for it.
What does one need more??

I am not Loes, but you can do well here.
You are creating your own business which is what will in time earn you money.

What she is talking about here is just referring to post and training, things in that nature that you post on your WA profile.

There are a number of members that choose to not participate in live chat, write post on their profile and so on.

You choosing to complete the training, lessons and task and building your website/business is what will make you a success : )

Well, I'm just going to go and like all your training right now. I don't always look at the training unless it's something I'm interested in. I didn't realize that you actually got paid for it based on likes and comments!

There's just so much stuff to learn here on WA. It's overwhelming sometimes, and I'm just trying to consistently get content on my websites so I can maybe get some traffic and sales. I've gotten nothing substantial so far.

Hi Loes,

I'm not sure if you are aware, but there has been a problem with comments going 'missing'.

When we get the email to read a reply left for us we get to the post and don't go automatically to that reply, but just get to the post and thats it.

On my end, I don't see my comment, but on your end you see my comment.

I left Kyle a PM a few days ago and since found out it's been happening to other members and it's happening in the comments forum as well. I haven't heard from Kyle yet.

I think there is a glitch in the system obviously.

I didn't get you reply to my comment, if you can let me know what is was please :)

Hi Patsy,
That is interesting. I have had some website post comments go missing. The person even sent me a message saying that they did the comment, so I am sure that it is exists, but I haven't seen it. I am in the middle of transferring one of my websites and I thought that that was the problem. Now I realise it might be something else. Hmmm. I have backed off my comments for the moment and I am watching to see if this situation gets sorted out. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Glenys, you are welcome.

The comments I left on the members posts must be there on the website? I have 4 that have not replied back to me and thought they just didn't bother.

What a pain.

Carson is working on it, there is a glitch in this new UI with other problems as well.

If you are having problems transferring your website, send SiteSupport a ticket right away and they can help you with it.

I hope you had a great weekend :D

I noticed that glitch too, Patsy, I get a lot of notifications leading to nothing, and my comment is missing too.

I found out, that when I strip the url comment ID and refresh the page, the comments are there alright

Hi Loes,

Aha! you are the smart one to think of doing that ;)

The member's post I left comments on told me they saw my comment was still there which is good.

It must be a big job for Carson to fix these issues!

I think that the monetary evaluation for training that you guys do must be a lot higher. The experience from members saves time and clears the path to the success faster. There are so many details which can be skipped during WA training. Of course, we can go again to repeat lessons but when we get valuable information on the plate is a wonderful thing. Thank you, Loes:)

YES, I SO agree Loes. 100%. Writing training is SO much more work than blog posting, you don't even get the option of HI, H2. and H3 headers.

It's a Thankless Job!

I spent many hours on the new training I put out this morning, and almost freaked out when I thought it disappeared when I was 90% done! All because when I went to hit "Publish" it told me was one page short.

Although I had it saved on the Word document, it would have been like starting all over again inserting the images and formatting the text if i couldn't find it!

Thank you, Loes! I appreciate and value the effort that all WA members put into their trainings. So I like to comment on the ones that I see, b/c there's either confirmation of what I have learned or new and helpful info in them. WA members have diverse backgrounds of expertise, so there's much we can learn from each other, if we remain teachable.

At times, b/c of my other responsibilities I am not on here as much, so I miss the trainings that are posted. But I want to encourage all who have done trainings to keep doing them and those who are thinking about doing trainings to go for it! :)

Hey Loes;

With regards to the low response to your recent training, I wonder if it is down to the new UX.

I really like the new interface, however now that I've used it for a couple of weeks, I find I'm missing posts and training more than I used to.

I think it's because we don't have the easy "Activity" tab to browse through.

It seems I have to be more proactive in chasing down new blogs, etc. and I usually find it time wasting and go on to work on my website instead.

That might just be me. :-)

Hi Loes...I wasn't aware of the details for training compensation. Getting to Level 5 seems almost impossible. Your trainings and other members trainings is what makes membership here so valuable...they add another level of understanding for us. The system makes sense, we just have to do a better job of acknowledging you. You are all appreciated. Thanks for the education.

That's very interesting Loes, didn't know about the different levels. So do the levels refer to the number of likes you get?
When I look at someone's training I'm usually a bit unsure whether I can just like it or whether I should comment on it as well. Do you only get credit for the likes or for the comments too?

Hi Loes, I for one am grateful that you have brought awareness to the community in respect to this. There are many who do express their appreciation for posts and training through likes and comments but unfortunately there must be tens of thousands who don't ever see what other members offer.

If you consider that there are a reported 1.3 million members and on average posts and training blogs only get a handful of likes and comments it is quite alarming.

Also want to add that the other day you posted a blog and I made a comment about your cat that wasn't winking at me. You replied and said that the cat only winks in training and you immediately converted the blog into a training. I really was only joking about that. :D

It is important for all members who do create training to know that the appreciation is definitely there. I do hope that there will be more gratitude expressed in future because we all benefit from it.

I hope to see more of your winking cat. :)

Hi Loes,
Thanks for this explanation. I have not created any training yet since there are a ton of things I still need to learn before I teach anything here :)
One thing I did not about the training was the levels. How do these work? How many likes and comments before going to the next level?
Reply
Loes Premium
The levels are growing by the combination of views, likes, shares, and comments.
And that goes slow. Most of my 118 published training are hanging in level 2 and 3. So I have received a max of $15 for them
For level one it's about 20-25 likes, comments, and for level 2 you need about 80. Level 5 is over 500
Reply
DBlanchard Premium
Thank you Loes! Always helpful!!! :)

The way I see it it has to go viral on WA in order to make it to level 5...

I always like and comment when I go through a training, but I didn't know it had an effect on the person who did the training...
Reply
Loes Premium
Yes, it has to go viral, I shared that training in my welcome message to new members when I just wrote it, and it was liked and viewed often. But I got a reprimand from Kyle, that I wasn't allowed to share any link in a welcome message, so I stopped doing that. I see a lot of people sharing links in their welcome messages, but technically it's not allowed by the rules
Reply
DBlanchard Premium
Is it viewed as spam? or is it just because you get paid for more views and the actual views should be kinda " WA organic"? I wonder what's Kyle take on this?

I just came across this post after I requested that someone make a training to elaborate more on the various audiences to target in the wa bootcamp. I don't understand how to get keyword from some of the examples on the list. And what to actually write about for that particular audience. Since everyone can benefit from wa.

Interesting. You might be better of investing your time in a different way. A maximum of $75 for over 12 hours work is not great. However one benefit is that you are fine tuning your training skills which hopefully will spread out to other areas of your business. Whereas if you had invested that time in other activities to build your business, you might be better off. Only you in time will know.

Regarding the performance of your last training that has not yet reached level 1 with a $5 pay out, you might have to ask yourself why. Is the subject itself something that a lot of WA affiliates need training on? You might consider doing a small post and then only do more training when you see some demand for it, and then finally a detailed training when you see a lot of demand for it.

Just something to think about.

There are some distractions these days, the GDPR and weddings and fine weather, so maybe not many WA members have time for other WA related stuff ....

I am afraid, this particular training will never complete level 2, thanks for the stuff to think over

Hi Loes,

Sorry to hear about your latest training results!
I'm not on WA much anymore except the few times lately for the GDPR. I have too much going on outside of WA right now.

I rarely scroll down the dashboard feed and if I do, because it's one long roll I must miss out on a lot. I use to see your posts all the time.

I always make sure to like and comment it should be automatic. Especially with a community this massive you would think your latest training would have done 100% better.

For the training, unless it's in the top 10 I don't see it.

I hope this post brings awareness to members and that there is much more support given to the hard work put into training!

So it seems to me that the level payouts is more of a freebie bonus (regardless of how big or small). Isn't the overlying message here about helping people anyways? I had no idea about payouts for training, yet still plan to start creating some once I get through the certification and become better versed in what we do here. And let me say, I have appreciated very much the member training I have seen so far! Payout or not, we are all in this together. :-)

There are no clear rules about this issue, so I doubt in the scale you gave above. I have deleted all my trainings because I was not receiving credits (from WA owners) as you describe it. After asking a few times and not receiving any reply I said it was enough.

Now, you will not like what I say next so forgive me, but I do not think it is so cool asking people for "more appreciation". Nobody asks us to write trainings, so you get what you get. I am disappointed.

You have your reasons Loes, cannot argue about that, I am expressing my views which may be disliked by you but this is my style, I rather hear a frank opinion than a superficial userless polite phrase. This is why we need friends, to tell us the truth when we become unaware of it. In medias res.

By the way, do you remember the case of somebody whose more than 160 trainings where simply deleted? WA owners let him publish them in a long period of time and then removed in one move without a notice.
