To Those In Bo Tipton's Mentorship Group

I missed the train on this way in joining Bo's mentorship group(s?) but loved seeing all your posts today about your first conference call with Bo and your aim at making $1000/month.

I'm curious what you think you would get out of Bo's mentorship vs the training that's already here at WA? I see some newer and older members joining and wondering why the older ones are joining when you've been here for a year or more.

It could be because you haven't made consistent monthly income yet or at least not $1K/month obviously, but there are already so much information on this platform and from the posts you are making, all that info you learned today in your call is already in the training.

So is having his mentorship just great for bouncing off ideas or what else will Bo offer that will be outside of what's available on this platform.

If I ever had questions that slowed my progress, I reach out to more senior members to ask for advice or ask the community, otherwise I'm just writing, writing and writing... I mean, isn't this what the business is about?

Is there a secret sauce that Bo has that WA training doesn't have?

Maybe I'm just jealous I missed the boat for a chance to get a dedicated mentor until I reach $1K/Month (LOL) but I'm hoping I will still reach it sometime this year.

Lots of props to Bo Tipton to offer such a pay it forward service. I hope to offer this too in the future when I get more successful on my stuff.

For those in Bo's group, please enlighten me!! :)

Like you littlemama, I missed that too. But let's wait for his Second Pick.
I fully agree when you said reach out for members who have been here with years of success, and in the meantime, wondering what am I doing wrong here? LOL.

We'll join in the 2nd Pick,
Deal?
phakacha8

Lol I hope so, let's see what happens. :)

I also missed out on joining this group and am a little envious. The reason? Yes maybe we could get all the information from inside WA but belonginging to a mastermind group will give you more energy and accountability. There is always power in numbers. I am a big fan of mastermind groups for many more reasons than this, so kudos to Bo for starting one.
With Grace and Gratitude
Karen

I agree with Karen, having a dedicated coach can make all the difference to hold you accountable and give you the support like no other. Being an Entrepreneur is hard in the sense that you are your own worse enemy, no one's going to push you but yourself unless you get into a group like this that can help you along. :)

I have read your post with interest-I think having people like what BO has is also helpful. As you have pointed out here at WA we have all information we need ,right however , when you are in a small group you may have help that is personalised, what am trying to say is someone knows exactly where you are struggling and can give you or directly address your spercific need. We do ask questions on WA and you get help however sometimes you ask it seems people can't see it or people think this is obvious question and you tend to think do members think this is this an obvious thing- and mind you if I can take you back to those days when you had made no sale at all, I mean to you who are able to make money now, that time you were in a dry land as some of us are, I mean where you have not made even a single sale or coin you would like to hear someone who is making sales to help you so you may start making sales as well-if you can imagine that situation no sales for months yet you have tried to follow all the lession then some help may be needed. Many of us wish we give lessons to others but how can you give lessons when you haven't made any sell, which is a factor that sometimes affect when you talk about WA how do you say people that they will benefit in long run when you have not experienced it. So it is a desire to experience sales then you talk or write with evidence at hand
This brings me to a point where I think if we could have other small group mentors who want to help those who have been here for sometime but can't break the gate to a sales land that looks good as well -you may say that's the information already available here on WA particularly if you started sales already. Hence I think having a group like BO is also helpful as he may try to further simplify certain areas people struggle with

Yes I think what Bo is doing will be immensely helpful to the people he mentors, no doubt about that. You are right that he's probably supporting the members in those areas they are lacking or not understanding parts of the training and will walk them through their first sale. Sometimes people need further explanation to the lessons as well and having someone explain a concept better or further will give them the light bulb moment that they have been needing. I don't doubt this service Bo is giving will be very successful to those receiving it.

I can't wait to see what comes out of the group and the many new earning members. :)

I think my fellow team members have done an excellent job in responding to the question. The game changer for me lies in the quality and depth of the relationships between us and our mentor.

When the relationship is authentic it creates a high trust culture environment which speeds up the process of achieving results. Of course developing authentic relationships takes time, that's why we have each committed to spend at least 20hrs a week working and learning together.

In this group we have managed to create a high trust culture. Trust is achieved when there is character and compitancy. I'd encourage you to read "The Speed of Trust" by Steven R Covey if you'd like to understand this concept better.

Therefore in the group we are able to help each other achieve results much faster because we have a vested interest in each others success and so does our mentor Bo. He is able to spend the time developing a relationship with us because we are small group.

I also feel an almost overwhelming desire from him to see us succeed largely because of the person he is (character) and also because of the way we are each demonstrating our commitment to succeed by following through on the assignments as you are seeing from the regular post of group members which develops compitancy, the 2 key elements of a high trust environment.

Since we are each focused on achieving the same thing it creates synergy.

This group to me is a further testament to the efficacy of the WA platform to help us succeed. I personally don't believe we could have an opportunity like this if we were in some other platform.

Training is just one element but the relationship between us members, especially with someone you can relate to is in essence the "secret sauce". Because of the relationship we are more committed to serving each other.

It goes to show how effective the WA system really is. Now all those who are following us get to be part of the experience and our individual journeys to achieving at least $1000 per month in consistent profit from our businesses in 1 year or less.

Hopefully I have added clarity and depth of context into the already excellent answers that my colleagues have given.

To your online success,
Zola

Zola,
I couldn't agree more about the necessity of TRUST in order to really move forward. Your reminder of Stephen M. R. Covey's work had me once more looking through my copies of "The Speed of Trust" and "Smart Trust".

It is also so true that is more likely to form in 1 to 1 relationships and small groups. I wish your group all the success possible.

For me, I have to meet people eye ball to eye ball over time to establish a lasting trust. I do find myself interacting with so many individuals over time at WealthyAffiliate, that it is hard to keep them apart and remember their names let alone really trust them.

Roger

Hi Zola,

You sure have, thank you for your input here and your kind explanation of your view on your participation.

I agree you wouldn't get this kind of mentorship anywhere else for free too mind you, and it's really amazing to see and witness.

I will certainly enjoy watching you all and seeing what is learned from Bo each week.

I also love that we all get to learn a bit from this as we get to read about it too from your posts.

This is definitely a great moment here at WA and embrace it fully!

Best of luck to you and I hope you guys celebrate big when that first person hits $1K/month!

All the best to you!
Grace

Thanks for the wonderful words of encouragement Grace.

You're very welcome! :)

Let me attempt to put my take on Bo's group. What the other members have said holds true but there is still more to this I believe. Bo may be able to explain this better as it was his idea.

I think Bo is focused on mentorship and through this group he is not only teaching us how to be successful on WA but also teaching us to help others along the way. We are using for the most part the program Kyle and Carson has put together (with a few books) but we are going into some of the training points a little deeper more in depth. There is really no secret sauce or hidden things we are working on but Bo believes in the WA system.

Let's say you got a referral and and your referral joined WA. They went through the trial period and are now monthly and still learning. After a month or two of going through the training and their progress is not going like they had hoped. They may ask a few questions in the chat but the people who answer the question are not explaining it well enough for them to comprehend. They mean well in their answer but just cannot take the time to fully help this person out. So your referral is very discouraged and does not pay the next month's premium and just disappears. Along with your referrals disappearance your monthly commision goes with him.

But if there was someone around willing to pay if forward and come along side this person to guide him over the rough patches then he keeps his subscription going and your commision keeps on going as well. Sometimes a person needs encouragement and guidance apart from Kyle's excellent training classes. the training is great but some need personal attention to help them along. Kyle certainly cannot take the time to answer all the questions and give some personal help.

The more people that stay with WA the more the community will grow and the more commisions will keep renewing. As for me I have been here since November and even though I have my site up I was kind of going in circles and joining Bo's group has got me to stop spinning my wheels and start to move in a straight line and focus. The group and Bo hold me accountable. I learn from them. Several of us can be in a skype session while we are working on something and when we get stuck another person can get us over that spot. We encourage each other one on one. We learn patience.

A few in the group are from outside the US and English is not their first language. They watch Kyle's training but because of language barrier there may be a critical point they to not quite understand. They need someone like a mentor or a person willing to invest some time to explain a point until they can fully grasp it. they may ask for clarification in chat but the people in chat at that time may not even understand their question. they need someone who is willing to take the time and help them.

I believe this is what Bo had in mind when he came up with this idea. he wants to raise up people who are willing to become a mentor. Who are willing to come alongside a newbie and give them help and encouragement on a more personal level.

Afterall the more members we can retain here on WA is what we want. We want WA to thrive. If you have 10-20 referrals who join WA it is impossible for you to help them all on a personal level. If they fail then your hard work of getting them here is lost.

If Bo can help us to be successful here then we will be motivated to come along side someone else and help them because Bo set the example for us to follow.

I know I rambled on but I hope I have shed some light on this group. So, it is not only accountability we seek but as a group we are bonding with each other. We are encouraging and supporting one another and are learning as we help each other as well. And through us posting Bo's assignments here on our blogs hopefully we are imparting some of the things we are learning as well. I know when this is over I will be paying this forward and finding a person or two to help as much as I can.

Enough rambling so I best quit. Hope this helps answer a few questions for those curious.

feel free to comment here or message me with your questions or thoughts. :)

Craig

Hi Craig,

Thank you for sharing what you're learning. The GoGetters mastermind group sounds like somethings I could really use: Mentorship and Accountability.

Best wishes,

Jamie

Excellent answer.
We seem to be a rather verbose bunch. Ha ha!

It appears so. LOL

Well, put Craig, hope all curious minds got a whole of this and that you have the pleasure of enlightening some.

Hey Jamie, glad that you see it that way, and yes, you will also have the opportunity.

Very well said Craig and that is exactly what I try to do with all the referrals I bring in as I can tell many here are a bit lost when they arrive and I try to help everyone that I bring in. Half the time they don't even ask questions so the ones that do, is where I can help and provide as much as I can.

However, that's not the same as a dedicated person giving you advice every week like Bo is doing and I couldn't do that, at least not right now as I write so much everyday that I don't have that kind of time to dedicate.

But, I definitely see how this way of help can be so beneficial to so many. It's really great to see the work being done and the help and support you guys are providing to one another.

I wish you all nothing but the best and to see you all succeed and reaching your $1K/month goal this year.

Of course, your learning will be spread to other members here from the posts you guys do so that's really the best part for us who are not apart of this process and another benefit coming out of Bo's mentorship.

I can't wait to see you all succeed!
Grace

I can only speak for myself but I am not in training to help Grace's referrals. I think you may be misunderstanding something in my reply to Grace's question to the community.

Wow, you have a very skewed view here Mary.

I help everyone I come across, NOT just my referrals and I feel others who refer do the same thing too as I've been helped by MANY who aren't my referrer. I'm also a person who didn't sign up under anyone, so where do I get help if it wasn't for the people in the community helping?

Your comment is grossly the opposite of what WA's community stands for.

i spent the last 6 months helping out other people's referrals, including yours, so your comment is not appropriate....

but in principle groups in here even when there is a need for one should be working with Kyle and his vision for his group, which is what WA is...it is his group afterall

and I do not know Bo, but I do know the day people jump in and follow ambassadors is a sad day indeed, we've had quite a few of them running scams recently

ambassadorship is a social activity, and one of the reasons I've resigned from it

Kyle knows of the group and gives his blessing.

I didn't say YOU didn't help others. So my comment is fine.

I don't appreciate you telling others NOT to help my referrals. Everyone helps everyone here, not just their own referrals. There's nothing wrong with their group if they want to pay it forward to teach others what they've learned.

Thanks for your honesty. This helps me to think through the process.
One major fact that everyone needs to absorb is that we are all unique, our businesses are unique and we have our uniqueness to contribute to life at every level. It is not a competition.

The Group has a responsibility to Pay it Forward. We need to pass on what Bo is teaching us.
It is separate to the training at Wealthy Affiliate. We still need to complete that and stick to our Wealthy Affiliate schedule of running our business.
Bo's mentoring is value adding to each and everyone it has a ripple effect.
Sharing is caring!

Hi Tania, there's no double the mentoring will add much value to your progress here at WA and we all are also benefiting it too as we can read about what you guys learned. It's fun to see this going on here and I'm glad you guys are getting the help you are seeking.

I wish you guys much success and can't wait to hear who will reach the $1K/month mark first!

Sharing is definitely caring and that's what we do best here! :)

Grace

At least it generates a lot of interest and curiosity, illustrating the power of exclusivity in marketing =) I believe, too, the increased sense of tight connectedness and accountability does something. Maybe there is a turbo boost in peer review compared to SiteComments. A way to crowdsource a new training perhaps. Following the posts to see :)

Hi Patrick, yes I believe that to be try as well. I think this mentorship group can be very powerful especially being it a long term thing... Bo has dedicated his whole year to this so that's really amazing to see as well. :)

I'm definitely going to be following their progress!
Grace

Yes, I initially didn't even notice it was as much as a one year commitment. That is some great dedication! I'm sure they will have something really amazing to show at the end :) At least demonstrate what happens if you actually stick to the programme for a year!

Yes, I'm hoping to see great results out of this group. Can't wait for year end. :)

I can only speak for myself, but will take a stab at it.

There are multiple things in my mind, but one big thing is what oister79 said: accountability. We are receiving "homework" that forces us to put thing into effect.

As I wrote somewhere else, it is super easy to join WA. There is so much great training here, with an amazing, supportive community, who wouldn't join?

But as supportive as the community is, as helpful as everyone may be, no one here is going to push you to do anything. You pay your membership, you are given the tools to succeed, and that's it. Kyle won't come and ask you "hey did you finish writing that new blog? Are you finished reading that training on using social media?"

In this group, we are moving through the training with a timeline. We have one year of Bo's time. We are expected to get to a certain point during that time. Outside of the group, if we want to take 6 years to do certification, no one will say anything. So basically, it is to light a fire under our butts.

For me, it's also exciting to see other people succeed, so it is very encouraging, and fun to watch.

In terms of the actual training, we are using what is available here at WA. We aren't looking elsewhere, except perhaps to read some books or something. But have you ever had a time when you listened to or read the training and it didn't quite make sense to you, but then someone else explained it in a slightly different way and it just clicked?

We all have times like that. Different people learn different ways. Sometime two people can explain the same thing and you will understand on, but not the other. So it is increasing the chance of you understanding things, and also allowing you to see things from a different perspective.

And because we are going through things together, if one person gets stuck on something, there is the rest of the group working on the same topic, ready to help. Yes, that is available through live chat, asking questions, etc, but sometimes knowing that someone is working on the exact same issue that you are is helpful. Sometimes people in chat don't have an answer for you. Sometimes, people will just point to the training, which you have already looked at and not understood....

Bo also has a lot of experience in the field. Naturally, so does Kyle and so do many of the other members here. but again, it allows a different perspective, and different ideas. It's like when you look up a topic in the search bar and you see posts from 10 different members, all of whom have done training on it. Each one will be a little different.

When we watch Jay's WAbinars, it's a similar thing; he covers topics that are available elsewhere in the training, but no one really says "what's the point of watching Jay?"

Those are some of my thoughts, off the top of my head.

Hi Craig,

Thanks for your input here and appreciate all your thoughts.

For sure I see the accountability to be a big one for being in the group. Not everyone can just get things going and need the support and push from someone as experienced as Bo. I'm glad you guys are doing this and I hope to hear many success stories out of his groups.

I can also see having a better or a different explanation could be beneficial to understanding concepts that you may not have grasped from doing the training on your own.

Jay's webinars are for everyone who's a Premium, Bo's groups are not. That's the difference. Jay's webinars are an extension to the training here and I often advise others to check his trainings for further explanation cuz that's what he does. He pulls concepts together with examples and such.

I'm sure Bo's mentorship will do the same thing but even better because it'll be specific to your groups' needs.

I do like that we get a glimpse of what you guys are learning from your posts so that's very cool for us to follow along what you guys are doing.

I wish nothing but the best for you guys and hopefully reach your goals by the end of this. year. :)

Thanks for your share!
Grace

I didn't really mean to equate Jay's training with what Bo is doing. I just meant it in the sense that both are supplemental to the main training.
:)

Yes for sure, but even more focused to your needs though.

Geez, check out what MozMary said under CraigO1.

Hi Grace, lots of great questions. I can only answer as to my reason for joining Bo's group. The number one reason for me is my need and desire for a mentor. I'm someone who needs direction and focus...this is how I learn best.

In my opinion this group does not take anything away from the top-notch training here on WA. Not in the least. If anything, it builds on it. There is no training anywhere on the internet that even comes close to the high standard of Wealthy Affiliate.

I wanted a mentor to help me keep my focus and build the business(es) I want to build. With this group, I not only got a mentor, but also a group of other members to help keep us all accountable.

This really is a huge "pay it forward" service he is offering here, which is something that the training at WA strongly encourages.

It is so very true that we all have the same number of hours in a day and we all have the unlimited opportunities offered here, but I look at this mentorship opportunity, as you mentioned, that simply adds more structure and to be held accountable to get the work done. I, myself need that.

It's a big sea of knowledge here and someday I hope to be able to pay it forward for others who, like me, need a stricter focus.

Thanks Grace. These are just my reasons for wanting to join this mentoring group. I actually hope this idea will also spur on others to do the same.

All the best,
Sue

(Whew! Sorry this was so long. LOL)

Ha ha, you beat me to it! I was being a little too verbose, so you slipped in ahead of me!

:) :)

Quick question for ya' Sue,

Does your group comprise of niche builders more so than Boot Camp folks or would you say that it's more for WA promoters?

Hi Randy, strapped for time right now. I'll come back and comment later.

All the best,
Sue

Thanks!!!

Hi Sue,

Thanks for your perspective about direction and focus, I can appreciate that many people need this kind of help and encouragement.

There's nothing like accountability to a group and I know you guys will help each other succeed.

With all the thoughts laid out there, I can really see the beneficial of his group and I know you guys will do well with it.

Best of luck with everything!
Grace

I have been thinking exactly the same thing. Everything they have been saying has been covered (extensively) by Kyle in the training.

I assume having someone to make them actually put the hours in is the game changer, but we all have the same amount of ours in the day. It's up to you how you decide to use them.

Accountability is a big one and sometimes people need a structure to follow and held accountable to get the work done which I can appreciate too.
