On my website, most of my menu items are categories, not pages. Does google prefer pages under menu items over posts? Also sometimes a single post will show up in three or four

Leah most of the information on your site will be posts. This might help you out.

Great video! Thank you. What about my posts showing up in several different categories? I review dog toys. I have categories of squeaky, stuffed, toss and fetch, rope and tug, rubber and treats. Often a single toy is squeaky AND rubber AND toss and fetch. So I check all three categories for the one post, and it will show up under three different menus. Do you know if google will hate me for that? I just wonder if it considers that "duplicate content."

thats a good question, i thought google would see it as duplicate too ......are we right or are we wrong? hum...... xoxo to you and yours

No, you will be fine. You only have 1 post if anything Google will like you because it makes your information easier to find for the your visitor.

AWESOME !! thank you xoxoxo

I love that answer! Thank you.

My pleasure!

Has anyone else ever had this happen? Amazon gave me an associate account, which I set up immediately. I connected a few affiliate links to my site, and thought I was good to g

It has happened to me but not after a week! They will usually ditch you if there hasn't been a sale after 3 months...

yeah but I'm only just now into my second week - jeez they are mean. Google Adsense said no to me too, saying I don't have enough content. I am going back and adding more info to the reviews I have already done on my site to make them longer, and I am going to add about twice as many again before I re-apply to Amazon and Google Adsense. Hopefully that will work. Am I the only one this happened to? Seems strange.

You are not alone I can assure you!
Keep up the battle...you'll get there...there's always a few hurdles to jump over and a few hoops to jump through!

l-)) TO YOU BOTH XOOX

Hi Leah,
Personally, I am not going to get involved in anything before I am ready and that involves third party money makers.

I cannot help at this time with what happened to you.

I am sorry.

Paul.

I haven't and am not sure why. Sorry I couldn't help you but I hope this gets resolved for you soon!

I know. It was a fair bit of work setting up those links. Now they don't matter at all. I mean it just says "Join Now for Free" - it doesn't say there's this whole application process where I might get rejected at some point. I just don't want to go through the whole thing again and have them kick me out again. But I can't imagine going forward without Amazon either.

There are additional info that you have to fill out like w-9 form. And the complete application. Not sure if you did that the first time but make sure that all of your tax info is correct and completely filled out.

That wasn't it. They said it was rejected because of this:

- Lack of content which is original to your site and beneficial to your visitors
- Pages that are mainly empty when advertisement content is removed

Which I'm curious about my setup because I had a LOT of ads on a single page (which I'm guessing is what they are talking about when they say "pages that are mainly empty when advertisement is removed). But I told search engines to not index that page. I guess Amazon did anyway? The rest of the affiliate links were in posts spread out sporadically. I have 12 reviews on my site. I guess they don't think that is enough either. I will do more but heck, it's only been one week.

Omg honey , i really feel for you .................HOLY SHITE...i am going to have to pull my finger out i think as it has been nearly a week since i started my affiliation with them :-(( hope they dont do the same to me Xodoxox let me know how you get on will you ....? did you contact them to appeal their decission? I would contact there support team and see how you can go about resolving the issue with them...they are pretty good you know :-)) i had a few issues and they sorted it out for me....
xoxoxo

Thanks, I might just ask them about it. Or I may just wait awhile, build up my content, and then go back and join again. It was just weird that I had a whole account set up and everything THEN they pull the plug. Heck, Target and PetSmart approved me. But you know, it's whatever. I'll just wait a couple weeks and sign up again when I have twice as much content.

:-)) keep me posted wont you xoxo to you and yours

I tried to create an email forward but got this Oops error. I tried to forward to lvpresser@gmail.com, not leah@toughtoys.com. So it doesn't make sense to me.

Oops! You

Hi, Leah. I believe you can only have one or the other.

Covered in Course 2 Lesson 3, I believe.

Cheers.

Paul.

Yeah so far that's what site support is telling me too. But if you have it set to forward, then you can't send an email from the domain that is is being forwarded from. Seems counterproductive to me. I mean, it's not like I expect tons of emails to my domain accounts. But if I have 25 domains, I have to either opt to check each inbox manually a couple times a day OR lose the ability to respond directly from the domain email. But I want both. At least, this is how I'm understanding things right now,

Don't get me wrong, Leah. I feel the same way. I wanted both options also.

Do you think that it might be a good idea to PM Kyle and see if there is a resolution?

Paul.

I just had a whole exchange with Site Support and they say they're sorry, it's not possible. I'm new here, just about 3 days in. I can't imagine Kyle doesn't know? I suppose it's jut not possible, you know, like electronically in the cloud world impossible. I'm sure they'd give us both options if they could. That's what I'm thinking. Thanks for your help on this! I feel so great being here. It's a life changer for me; it really is. I love it!

I'm going to bookmark this post because it leads to some other questions that are going to come up soon, I think.

As in, if you use a forwarding e-mail, and you respond to an email, will the recipient see that it is coming from a Gmail account or from the domain e-mail account.

Good question Leah.

Paul.

Right. I just assume a reply will show it coming from the forwarding email, the gmail account, not the domain email. And I wouldn't want that.

Correct. I'm just going to wait it out and see for now, and get back to the lessons moving forward.

Over and out for now, Leah.

Paul.

I, too, have gone through this. I don't understand why we can't have our email address and a forwarder as well. I could with another host.

Here's what I tried. I deleted my new leah@toughtoypros.com. Then clicked the Forwarding tab, and created it in there AT THE SAME TIME I was telling it to forward. I've sent myself a test email but haven't got it yet . . . I don't know if the toughtoypros email is too new or doesn't work or what. This is frustrating.

It means you already created an email address and cannot also create a forward. Decide which way you want to do it, and then delete the other (I'm assuming you want the forward rather than the regular email). Then it will allow you to create the forward.

Ok I see how that's what it means . . . but that's not what I am trying to do. I created an email leah@toughtoypros.com for my new domain. I told it to forward that to lvpresser@gmail.com. It's like it thinks I'm telling it to forward it to itself, but I'm not. Have you heard of this?

Ok well so I just deleted my new email, and created it AT THE SAME TIME as I was telling it to forward it. That is not clear at all in the videos . . . in the videos they create the email, then they click on the tab to forward it, and say forward it. But as long as this work, okay. Thank you!
