On Monday, September 16th, I had my right eye done.
For me, it is becoming a life-changing event.
It's a bit messy with all of the drops, but I think well worth it.

I had a cataract surgery evaluation and appointment with a surgeon yesterday, as I have large cataracts in both eyes. After talking with the surgeon, I decided to wait and come back in 6 months because the cataracts do not currently impact my quality of life. My wife had cataract surgery last year and had to deal with all the eye drops and associated scheduling.

In my case, the surgery was but the eye drops were not.
Not a word of a lie, when I look through my left eye, I see confusion.
When I look through my right, I see certain clarity.

My lifelong partner is making her way back from a wedding in Crete.
So it will be Crete to Athens, and then from Athens to Toronto International.
From there, Home.
I do not understand International travel.
I'm not going to go too far.

that the Italian Renaissance artist Leonardo Da Vinci, United States treasury secretary Alexander Hamilton, French Impressionist Paul Cezanne, American novelist Jack London, and actress Sophia Loren were all born to unmarried parents.
I did not know this.

It is nice meeting you as well. I see you have been a WA member for a long time.
I live in Virginia, USA, but I have visited Canada several times. My last visit was to Halifax about ten years ago. I also have been to Vancouver and Victoria, BC.
I have an appointment with the cataract surgeon in six months, at which time I will proceed with the surgery. My insurance will cover everything, including eye drops. I currently have an eyedrop prescription my insurance covers for the treatment of ocular hypertension (increased pressure in the eye) and glaucoma.
I never liked flying, particularly internationally. Yet, I have flown over a million miles. Besides Canada, I have flown to England, France, Germany, Netherlands, Switzerland, Austria, Australia, Hong Kong, Thailand, Philippines, Japan, Korea, Egypt, Bahrain, UAE, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia. I have also flown a lot in the U.S., including Alaska and Hawaii.
Years ago, I learned that if I wore a suit and tie, some airlines (such as British Air and Swiss Air) would upgrade me to business or first class instead of economy. I don't know if they still do that.
