Hi.

My name is Paul and I welcome you to my Profile Page here.

Yes, I am a real person.

I am currently a first-year student here at Wealthy Affiliate University enrolled in the "Open Education" Global Online Community Learning Program.

I try to contribute, share and serve within a community of 'like minded' people that are growing on a daily basis. You will not know the impact that Wealthy Affiliate University can have on your life until you experience it for yourself.

About Me:

Born: State of Punjab, Northern India (Baby Boomer)
Raised: UK (Primary years)
Current: Ontario, Canada since leaving the UK
Status: Indian National, British subject, Canadian Citizen.

Marital Status: Divorced
Children: One son. Attending Mount Royal University(Calgary) pursuing a career in Sports Medicine.

My Former Profession: Career Food, Beverage & Hospitality Specialist (with over 35 years as a Professional Chef).

Current Working Status: Unable to be gainfully employed within my chosen profession of cooking due to an Auto Immune Disorder. I hold various 'Commision Only' positions in various fields. These are however, 'Feast or famine' environments that require careful planning and budgeting.

I have owned and operated my own 'Brick & Mortar' business in the form of a Full Service Restaurant with my Ex-Wife between 1984-1994. Other than that, I have always worked for others. Unfortunately, leveraging one’s skills and efforts for others does not always provide the type of outcome that we were born to experience and deserve.

“The right path is sometimes the one we make for ourselves that leads to our version of happiness and prosperity.“ I am what you might call a 'Seeker of Opportunity."

INTERESTS, HOBBIES, PASSIONS:

My Interests lie in the areas of "The History and Future of Money." My hobbies include learning about Alternative Digital Currencies, more specifically, Bitcoin.
I am fascinated by 'Blockchain Technologies' and the possibilities of a 'Decentralized Monetary System' Worldwide.

According to the United Nations, world population reached 7 Billion on October 31, 2011. The US Census Bureau made a lower estimate, for which the 7 billion mark was only reached on March 12, 2012.

If the world were only 100 people, in 2006, only 1 person out of 100 would have a college education. In 2016, that number has jumped to 7. I think The Internet has something to do with this significant increase.

The most interesting statistics lie in the areas of Technology:
• 65 would be Cell Phone users;
• 47 would be active Internet Users; and
• 95 live in an area with a mobile-cellular network.

My father (recently deceased) used to say "It is never too late to start today what you should have started yesterday." That is why I am here at Wealthy Affiliate University. To start something that I should have done a long time ago i.e. establish my own 'Real Estate' online based on some of the numbers above.

My Passion is to establish a presence online that will integrate and evolve with the everchanging Technology. I want to create a website that not only provides value to me but to others that come across it. It would be great to touch and impact the lives of Millions, but if I only mange to reach out to a few, that's O.K. too. I just want the satisfaction of knowing that whatever I achieve moving forward is a direct result of my efforts. I know that I cannot reach what is in front of me until I let go of some things behind me.

I would like to thank all those that have impacted my life here at Wealthy Affiliate University so far. Special thanks to Kyle Loudoun and Carson Lim for providing us with everything that we need to succeed. They have chosen to collectively change the World through their most effective tool...Education, and we can do the same.

I am proud to be here and will be here for a very long time because there is not one single reason to leave.

Cheers to Success.

Kindest regards,

Paul.

Hi, Kevin.
Welcome and thank you for such a pleasant reply.
I started following you as a result of a reply you made to someone else.

I am very pleased to make your acquaintance.

Just like you, I have also seen and have been a 'victim' to many programs. Here at Wealthy Affiliate University, you are completely safe.

Start Free...stay as long as you like. Upgrade when you think the timing is right. "Learn" first and then remove the "L."

All up to you...but understand that you have not invested in WAU, you have invested in yourself...so no excuses or limitations to your future success. Wealthy Affiliate University provides everything that you need to navigate and master this new world.

Kevin,
Let me know where you are at as far as "tips" are concerned in your question so that I can assist to help you move forward. I cannot help you if I do not know where you are at.

I am going into my second year here and you know what?
I am still working on a couple of actual domains...and multiple subdomains (siterubix).

I love the siterubix program here with 25 free sites.
This in itself is very powerful as soon as we get over the learning curve that is provided within our most comprehensive training.

More on this later.

Again, I just want to thank the powers that are for making our paths cross.

Sent with respect and dignity in mind.

Paul.

Paul, I see you are making some good progress through the Affiliate Bootcamp. Just wanted to pop by and see if you need a hand with anything?

I also wanted to mention the success rates of Bootcamp. Absolutely everyone that has taken action on all of the phases of Bootcamp has a business that is generating consistent income online. MANY of these folks are going to be at our super affiliate conference next year.

I want this to be you and I want you to succeed with your promotions. So, please promise me that if you ever need a hand or feel stuck as you move forward, that you will get in touch with me!

Trust me, I know things can be a little overwhelming sometimes and I don't want you feeling like that.

Anyways, just checking in. Get back at me if you need anything Paul.

Hi, Kyle.
You have no idea what you reaching out to me like this means.

I have been here since May and I upgraded to Yearly in June. One of the best moves I have ever made in my life.

Although my progress has been a bit slow, (It always takes me longer than the average person), I feel that I am comfortable enough about Wealthy Affiliate now to be able to write and promote in a responsible manner.

The 'BootCamp' tutorials have been incredible so far and I look forward to more every single day.

Again, I want to thank you for 'reaching out' and once again commend You, Carson and the rest of the WA Team for their most valued efforts.

Sent with Respect and Regards.

Hi, Leonila.
I am 'dead serious' about what Kyle & Carson are doing.
I have been here since May 03,2016 and to be honest with you, I have not done much to reflect on my achievements so far.

I have spent the first 6 months checking things (and people) out.
I am happy with my inquisitions.

I am not completely 100% sure of publishing my work so far...but I have my own reasons for that (I am a bit of a 'scared cat...LOL'

I want to thank you for stopping by to say hello and sharing your thoughts. I can confidently say that the education that I am receiving here regarding the 'Internet of Things' puts into perspective for me the 'Cost of Un-Education.'

I went yearly after going premium. I am involved for the rest of my life at $359.00 US (I am locked in). The Internet is not going to go away. I have now committed to the Internet through a 'Safe Haven...Wealthy Affiliate University.'

I am getting a university level education if I choose to attend the classes on a consistent basis. For less than a $1 a day all is good.

For me, there is no better place to be as I enter the final chapter in my life.

Feel free to converse with me at any time, and do not hesitate to use the Private Message feature offered here.

You are blessed as all those here at Wealthy Affiliate University.

Sent with my kindest regards,

Paul.

Greetings Paul,

Thanks very much for the Follow!
As a student of WA and college I really appreciate your attitude with regard to education.

Education should never end but for many I have known that is sadly not the case.

Regardless should you need a hand with anything feel free to drop me a note anytime, all my best to you Paul,

Thank you, Gary.

Actually, education never really ends, just our perception of education ends because most of us associate it with sitting in a classroom or classroom environment.

The Internet has changed the traditional concept of learning and has, to a great extent 'leveled' the field for those that do/did not have access to education.

I'll give you a personal example. My career has been that of a Professional Chef. Advancement in that profession was based on what each Chef knew. We all started at the same place. i.e. we wanted to be a Chef and had a desire to do so.

Some of us went to school to get the basic training. Other's like me, just 'jumped in' for the practical training and learned by doing through apprenticeships and working with well-established Chefs that were 'leaders' in the field.

In those days, we did not have instant access to 'How to make a consomme' or 'how to make puff pastry' for example. You were hired based on what you had in your head.

Today, 10-year-old kids have the capability of putting out what it took 20 years of experience to do in the past.

What I'm trying to say is that an individual can become 'anything' he or she wants and at any time in life they want. It just basically boils down to 'if they want to or not.' Is that not correct?

That is because of the access to education, especially in the 'Open Education Arena.' I'll give you another example: Google Khans Academy. Look at what's available there. If information like that were available 40 years ago, I wouldn't have struggled with my 'Calculus' classes LOL.

Regardless, sorry for such a long response, and yes, I will definitely drop you a note probably more often than you will expect.

I am very pleased to know you.

Kindest Regards,

Paul.

Paul,
I really could not do a better job of summing things up.

I so much agree regarding the education of the mind, it is an ongoing thing for most healthy folks.

Thanks so much for the tip on Google Khans Academy I will check them out. I am a full time student working on my degree, I have another math course to take and I do not do #'s well.
I managed a a high B somehow in my Business Math, but I am looking at College Algebra or Intro to Statistics
Ugh!!

My younger brother did 4 years at Johnson and Wales and became a Chef, for you to do so simply by accruing knowledge is a wonderful accomplishment you should be very proud of.

I fully understand the lack of technology back in the day, I still recall my 1st PC and going online around 1991. My how things have changed and the internet is truly a 2 way street.

Paul thanks again for sharing, if you need anything at all drop me a note, I would be happy to help out.

Also pleased to know you,
Gary

O.K. Gary.

I think you have a good grasp.

Should Education be Free or almost Free?

I ask in a selfish manner as my website will be dedicated to 'Free' or almost 'Free.'

Paul.
Reply
GFHaze Premium
I suppose the answer to that question would have a lot to do with how one feels about socialism.

If education comes without cost will it still have value?
Also would this force educators to take cuts in salary so the government can afford paying them?

I have even heard the selfish logic of why should kids now get free education when I had to pay and pay for student loans etc.

I am all for education, this education here at WA costs monthly but is privately controlled.

I trust you are only talking accredited learning institutions for your website with a .edu?

I will be interested in seeing what you come up with Paul, so be sure to let me know when you publish.

All my best,

Gary

Thank you Paul for the follow and many blessings to you here at WA. If you need any help remember to post your question in the comments section or on live chat, and someone will be able to help you.

I created a short but informative training tutorial for all New Members that tell you what you can do here at WA and most importantly give you a link to the RULES of WA and what you cannot do here. If you have the time or wish to, please check out the rest of my training (Bottom Right Blue Button) on my profile page. I explain ways to help you build a better website, ways to make some extra $$$ with your WA training, and best practices here at WA. I also post a humorous blog on first Sunday of every month. Enjoy!

Hi, Rika.
Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your network by replying and commenting.

Rest assured that as long as the WA platform and my PC and Internet are working, any communication you send directed to me will be responded to.

All these emails, comments and such may seem to be a bit of a nuisance in the beginning and may also be overwhelming.

There is a reason that you should actively participate. It is practice for the future.

Eventually, we will get to a place where we have our websites up and running generating traffic with 'Comments' enabled.

If at that point we do not respond to each and every correspondence then we have done ourselves a major disservice and all of our efforts 'fly' out the window.

Most of your questions can be answered by using the toolbar and search functions that are provided.

Most importantly, it is important to realize that the training is step-by-step. From personal experience, I wasted a couple of months by thinking that I could do everything on my own by not following instructions. Try not to make my mistake.

We are one of the most loyal, trusted and closely knit communities on this planet and you will make many life-long friends, acquaintances, and business relationships here.

Over and out for now.

To your success.

Paul.

Hi Shawn,
I just visited both sites.
They look, feel and read really well.

To give you a completely objective opinion, I'm going to take some quiet time and go over them with a fine tooth comb, if you don't mind.

The Sleep Apnea site is full of 'the right stuff." Have you thought about a newsletter or subscriber type approach. On my initial visit, I did not see anything of that nature.

If I missed it, I'll find it. If it's not there then it is some food for thought for you while I review your sites.

Kindest regards and have a pleasant evening. I'm knocking off for the day to catch a few innings of the Jay's game.

Cheers.

Hi Paul,
Thanks for taking the time to look over my sites! I don't mind it at all, in fact I appreciate having another set of eyes to review my sites.

I did have SumoMe installed on my sleep apnea site at one point, but I didn't like the ads that were being displayed. I'm not really sure of a newsletter at this point. I've never done anything like that before and don't consider myself to be a strong writer. I wouldn't mind doing that at some point, but just haven't figured out what I would put in a newsletter.

So you're a Jays fan as well. Good to see! Donaldson had a couple more home runs last night. I hope Tulowitzski isn't out for very long.

Thanks again Paul for your assistance.

Shawn

This is a wonderful community. What I had to do was unlearn some of the things I learned the wrong way, when I had joined many different online money making scams. And now, I follow each lesson exactly as instructed. And do each lesson's tasks. Not making any money yet, but I won't be taught to scam anyone. This is a very ethical and honest program.

If the green button says: Unfollow - it means you are following that person. It does seem backwards to me but what it is showing is what you would be doing, if you click the button. If you click it when it says: unfollow, then you will be unfollowing that person.

I am now following you.

Wishing you all the best.

Hey Paul,

When they take the MRI for the Arthritis, the end result may be taking anti-inflammatory meds (either injection or oral). Make sure the ENT knows about that, it may affect your upper respiratory tract.

Heck it might even reduce the tissues and surgery may become mute.

Keep me updated.

I tried writing to you, see below but the entire content of what I wrote just vanished.

I was distinguishing between 'Homoeopathy' and 'Homeopathy' and trying to tie in Homotoxicology.

My father, recently departed devoted over half of his life to same.

Not sure what happened, but seems like my post was 'hijacked.'

No worries, hope something is learned from it.

Peace.

No, homeopathic medicine is on the upswing. I agree with getting back to nature and getting away from synthetic based meds.

Do what is best my friend and take care.
Reply

Again Greg, the distinction is Homo as opposed to Home.

I had many discussions with my dad and he did come to the realization that the term should be 'HOMO' meaning homoeopathy as opposed to homeopathy.

One is 'Quack,' the other is complete 'Quack.'

Now border either with homotoxicology.

Homotoxicology is the science of toxins and their removal within the human body. It offers a theory of disease which describes the severity and duration of an illness or disorder based on toxin-loading relative to our body's ability to detoxify.

You no longer need to reply if my communication has become redundant.

As far as 'Cortisone,' is concerned, yes I am completely familiar.

In my high school and university years, cortisone was the norm for any athlete that had a future. In my case however, the cortisone 'hid' a problem with my Achillies until it exploded.

Back then it was not 'microspocpic' surgery. It meant a 13-16 inch incision and the re-development of the tendon using 'Goodyear' rubber.

Just want to elevate this discussion other than 'Thank you.'

Defer to PM if you would like, because there is much value here with what you have to offer.

Thank you my friend.

Kindest regards,

Paul.

I completely agree. The overload of prescriptions to and for whatever condition has become the protocol. Unfortunate as it is, the reality exists. The body (liver) can only process and eliminate so much causing "back-up" and eventual failure.

The medical industry needs to employ more idiopathophysiology (individual treatment for individuals themselves) rather than trying to place them all in generic treatment protocols. This is where the toxins start.

In my stint as a Paramedic, it would not be uncommon to pick up a patient with a gallon bag full of their meds.

Your Dad is a smart one. We need more in the field like him.

All the best,

Greg
