Starting to feel discouraged - maybe this isn't for me

Seeing people on here that started after me, like end of April and already making money. I'm starting to wonder if this is for me or not? I'm spending money I don't have on monthly subscriptions and stuff and I haven't received a dime yet. I spend at least 12 hours a day working on my posts, researching and using social media. I get anywhere from 200 to 1000 views a day, but I still don't see any money.

I started my website in January this year and I haven't made a penny yet and the only views I'm getting are from members here. I think if you're getting anywhere from 200-1000 views is good. It's easier not to compare yourself to other members. It depends on your niche.

I hope you will stick it out!! Having a business takes time, and hard work. You might be getting burnt out so give yourself a break and go for walks ... 12 hours makes for a very long day.

I like what you wrote about 'it depends on your niche'. That is really important.

I haven't made anything yet either. I spend hours and hours also, so I'm glad I'm not alone. I have been neglecting other things I need to do just to work on my site. At least you have substantial traffic. I would love to see 1000 visitors in a day. I love doing this but it would make it much easier if a little money would start rolling in.

You are definitely not alone. I eat, think and sleep my websites. I am having a very hard time with keeping up with 2 sites. But the Niches are so totally different I was hoping for faster results :(

I only have one, but I am involved in animal rescue which takes up loads of time too. And I am a teacher, going back to work in 3 weeks. I have no idea how I will stay on top of by site. I am like you, I eat, think, and sleep my website, but I can't even get i to where I want it to be. Not planning to give up, though...onward and upward!

There is only one of you. Two sites divide your time in half. Pick one and get it to success. You can always go back to your "neglected" site after you start making money.

You have to keep going, I now exactly how you feel. Take a look at all the success stories I've collected here so you can see how long it takes: Best of luck to you!

I can not believe that this is not for anyone who wants to build a steady passive income from their own work!

I can't convince you to stay, obviously, but what have you spent all of this time and work if you are just going to throw it away?

Go to Vindale ( I don't have the URL) They are a legitimate survey site. You can easily make $50.00 per month from them!

You have to be patient. Is there not a way you could maybe go yearly? It is so much cheaper. When you say "stuff" do you mean extra from the subscription? I have only the yearly subscription and my internet connection I pay for.

I wish you all the best here at WA and hope you are able to stay in the end:)

Im in Canada and the currency conversion rate is 80% right now. There is no way I could afford it :(

Sorry to hear that:(

You're way ahead of me. haven't earned a penny yet but I'm not giving up. You can't give up, take a day off and regroup then start again. I don't compare myself to anyone else it defeats my purpose. Your niche is different than mine but it still takes time. I don't look at what others are doing, I do congrats them when they do well, but I NEVER compare myself to anyone else. We are all different and so are our niches, our writing, and our products. Ask yourself who you are helping when you write don't think about will this make me money. Helping is what it's all about for me the money will come when it's suppose to. No I'm not rich, I struggle daily to make ends meet but nothing worth having is worth getting overnight. Stay the course and you will make it.

I agree with Steve, working 12 hours a day on your business is great but are you efficient?Check how many hours you spent on WA Chit Chat that takes and eats a lot of time of your daily hours.
You are already rank 198. Plus 46 Posts.
There is a desktop /mobile app free or paid depending on you that lets you track your time, so you can see where are you sidetracked during the day. I use www.rescuetime.com
this is not an affiliate link I just name the site just type it into your browser. Hope this helps.

I spend alot of time on my posts. I have over 120 on one site and 28 on the other. I hardly ever go on the live chat unless I need an answer quickly, but I don't really use it because it seems like it is more of a social group.lol
My main bad is checking my emails frequently though

Starting a business, which is what you are doing, takes a considerable amount of time. If you don't want to put in the time, you may as well quit. Don't compare yourself to others but if you do compare to those who have been doing this for a year and have no income. Then you will see that you are doing ok.

But, with a rank of 198 you are spending a lot of your time on here, not on your business. Choose what will make you money then work on that.

Good luck

Hi Laurie,
I'm not sure what your niche is, or how far in the training you've gotten, but some niches may be harder to earn money on than others, and may take more time to make any money.

Don't feel bad if others that started after you are already making money, they may have more time to write content, more experience, a different niche that has less competition, and any number of reasons.

I've seen some earn money their first month or two here, others like myself, it took longer...if I remember correctly, it took me almost a year for my first niche to make a dime. Now, it makes money every month.

Anyways, it's all up to you on what you feel is best for you...but, in my opinion, 3 months or so is a pretty short time to give yourself.

I certainly understand that money can be a huge worry, especially trying to pay monthly subscriptions, but one thing that helped me was to go yearly...it's cheaper, plus, no worrying about scraping enough money together each month.

However, it's all up to you on whether you want to commit to a year or not...it's all up to you on that, but if you decide to keep going, follow the training courses and do all the tasks set out in them. Go back over the courses again, I found I missed some things myself when I did.

Ask questions when you have them, most members here including myself, are always happy to help out when we can, and another thing I've found extremely helpful is to watch Jay's (magistudios) webinars (Live video classes) here if you haven't already.

Whatever you decide, I wish you all the best. Just follow what you truly feel you must do.

Best wishes :) ~Sherry

Only u know if your site is in top health, everything is done right and u feel you've given it enough time. When money is a problem, it makes things tougher as I well know>. It does take money to make money and if the right amount of money is not there, then you can not go any farther or go into debt trying to make this work! SOme of those making money sooner were more experienced at this kind of marketing and probably had the money to hire a mentor to help them out and get everything right, No one tells you their entire background, nor should they have toJust make sure you're comfortable with your decision. DOn't want to Ave regrets and loose time.
Hoping you can make your best decision!
