Whew, it's been a long day today.

Got up at 6, did breakfast for the guests at the lodge...

made muffins for the painters....

Cleaned and did the dishes...

Threw myself in the shower...

NO PIC!

Had a lunch meeting in town...

Raced home to check in guests staying tonight...

Wrote a 1500 word article "How to Analyze my Twitter Account"

Surely it's wine o'clock?

Yip... it's time to make dinner - and a sneaky wine for the cook!

Onwards and Upwards!

Cheers, Karen

That is a very busy day Karen and you achieved a lot! Wine o'clock indeed! You deserve it.

I do have a twitter account but it's unattended! That is the biggest problem. Enjoy the rest of your week.

Hi Danielle, I use hootsuite to schedule tweets, this helps and means I can set and forget to a degree. I probably spend 15 mins tops per day in my actual twitter account
Reply

My twitter account is heavily unattended! Lol! I have to do something about that. I will have a look at hootsuite when the time comes.

I will install the app on my phone today.
I hope that gets me more engaged.

That's a great idea. But turn off the notifications they will drive you nuts! Whenever I get a quiet few minutes I go into twitter and follow any new followers back, that is a good way to keep building your audience and it generates more followers in return. All the best, Cheers, Karen

I'm a closet reality TV junkie... (it's my dirty little secret LOL)... and there's nothing better than watching 'The Bachelor' and reading all the tweets live... it's hilarious and adds a completely different dimension to the viewing experience...
Thanks for sharing.

Thank you. I'm doing the super affiliate challenge, the next few months are going to be quite difficult as we are so busy with our 'bricks and mortar' business... but I am determined not to let Kyle or myself down. We've been lucky enough to be selected for the challenge, now we need to deliver.

A long day, sure. Get some rest.
Not much experience with Twitter. Not long ago closed one account being all spammed(probably hacked).Need to have another try and not to leave it unattended like I did, unfortunately.:)
Reply
kdforsman Premium
Oh, that doesn't sound good! There's a fake twitter account made using my persona, I was mortified at the time and I've tried to get it taken down, but apparently it's perfectly legal for people to do this!

"Users are allowed to create parody, newsfeed, commentary, and fan accounts on Twitter... "

Unfortunately on the internet there's always someone out there whose going to rip off your content, but this felt a little creepy. Goodness knows what the motivation is!
Reply
verazhelvis Premium
Very simple, I guess. Not being to create anything themselves, or even be interesting enough to attract attention, they suck the blood of a real thing. What can help is checking your accounts more or less often, or better yet, working on them.:)

Awesome, hmmmm delicious, now you made me hungry. :P

Great job Karen, and thank you for sharing with us.

My Twitter experience:

Worst: kicking out xxx followers or accounts with malware links, PMs about other users wanting to sell you something.

Best: building influence works, analyze followers one by one and see if they fit your niche and look if they post on the minute (mass posters) or are like us, sharing, retweeting, and serious interested in you.

Love your post, keep it up! :))

Stefan

Thanks Stefan... I totally agree with you about your twitter feedback. There's nothing more rewarding than actually making a genuine connection... I've had my most success when I've asked a question or invited tweeps to write a guest post for me. But there's always going to be a lot of 'background noise' and rubbish to filter through. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Cheers, Karen

I have a twitter account that I share stuff off and on. I have some 800 followers. Most of them would like to sell me something the same way I would actually like to sell them something. I mostly use it to add a little bit of value to people’s day when I can.

Your blog post is impressive. I like your sense of humor.

Thank you! Yes that's the problem with Twitter - all us 'affiliate marketers' hang out there! If there's one takeaway tip I can give anyone using twitter, it would be to focus on building the RIGHT kind of followers. All the best, Cheers, Karen

That's quite an achievement! Btw I just drafted a 1,500 words article myself, but I needed only to make breakfast for my little family this morning.
Of all the social media I think Twitter is the one that does not or hardly works for me. Maybe I should read your article or can you advise how to use it properly?
Reply
kdforsman Premium
Good on you! It's so hard to crank out 1500 words... well actually I find the hard part is to structure my post, then actually sit at the computer to do it. Once I get started, I'm fine! Here's the link to my post about Twitter if you're feeling keen... http://writingforcash.com/how-to-analyze-my-twitter-account Cheers, Karen

That sounds like a busy day.

I have a Twitter account but I’m not a twitter fan like President Trump is.

I really don’t see the value in it yet but things take time to grow so maybe i’ll Just keep watering it and then maybe I can be president some day.
