How Wealthy Affiliate Changed My Life - 1 Year Later
Hello everyone,
I want to share how Wealthy Affiliate changed my life in the long run.
But first, let's start with my background.
In 2015, I was still a Law & Society student at York University (Toronto, Canada). Travelling as a language student made me realize that I want to be flexible in terms of time, money and geography, and this made me explore online opportunities.
I was lucky to come across Wealthy Affiliate before having the negative experience of being scammed by other programs as other people did...
Anyway, I joined WA community in September 26, 2015 and I became a Premium two days after I joined (THAT'S how much I loved it). During Black Friday I upgraded to a yearly membership which was renewed this year as well.
Little did I know that it was the best decision I've made in my life (despite the challenges and obstacles I faced throughout this whole time).
At this point, I'd like to share some of my achievements and what has changed and how Wealthy Affiliate made me improve further.
As some of you may remember, in the beginning, I created a personal development blog and months later I created a second blog dedicated to online business and blogging.
However, recently I figured that it takes way too much energy to work on two blogs, so I decided to move content from the first LKS blog and make my KasottyBlog blog more of a lifestyle blog.
I know that here we are taught to have a niche-specific website but I still decided to go my way. (Whether you choose to have you website niche-specific or not is totally up to you!).
Anyway, here is a quick overview of how things are at this point.

Because I was busy with stuff and still in the process of moving content from the first blog onto this one, Site Health needs work and that will be addressed in the near future.
Also, I plan to introduce a page full of interviews of people I interact with (like WA members, self-publishing authors and so forth).

In terms of commissions, I received around $300 USD. Pretty good start given that I wasn't working on it on a regular basis.
Self-publishing Author
This year, besides blogging I also was inspired to learn about other ways to make money online, so I joined a great online school that teaches on how to become a self-published author and successfully sell e-books on Amazon.
It's possible to make money faster using this way and writing is something that I truly enjoy doing. Not to mention that I have so much accumulated knowledge that I would love to share it with the world.
Online Project
Just recently I met a girl who is great at painting and stuff like this so we decided to combine our skills and create a new project that involves art and writing and this is something to be launched in 2017.
I was very excited about finding a like-minded person and I am happy that I had a whole year to learn about how online business works and that Wealthy Affiliate has the resources and the tools necessary to make our project work.

This post was written super fast and I mentioned the things that I consider important to mention regarding how Wealthy Affiliate affected my progress and course of life.
Even though I am at the early stage, I see some serious progress and I am looking forward to working on that new project of mine (it wouldn't happen if it wasn't for the experience I had prior!).
Lesson:
BE PATIENT
BE PERSISTENT
BELIEVE IN YOUR DREAMS!!!

Nice to see you back Zarina. Keep the momentum going. I always tell to myself this is not a rat race and everybody can do this in his own pace. You can tweak or change your original plan for the better and this is what exactly what you did. You need to be proud of what you have achieved so far. I've been preoccupied with family matters for a few months but definitely not a year! I mean I was checking WA every once in a while but did have to back away from online business stuff. However, I'm back and ready to kill it more than ever! To a great 2017!
That's the spirit Zarina. I extended with the black Friday special and am now good to go in WA to May 10, 2018!
I used the Black Friday deal too so I'm good until December 2017! How did you manage to extend it until 2018 though ?? It's extra few months if you renewed during November-December
Kyle improved it for the first time for premium members. You are able to extend ahead for a year now from the end of your current premium membership which for me ended May 10 2017. Your premium apparently ended this month.
You achieved a lot in your first year Zarina and it looks like next year is going to be even better for you.
I will definitely work to achieve my goals and this time I will make it more of a full-time job! Thank you for your support :)

Can you tell me more about the self-publishing school that you joined? What is it called? How helpful have you found it so far?
It's a self-publishing school by C. Bolt. For now, the school is closed I believe (it opens once a year I believe) but just about yesterday I mentioned it on my blog post and I included a link where you can get free video info - http://kasottyblog.com/the-importance-of-life-experience-what-comes-with-it (somewhere in the end).
I liked a few things about it --- you get an accountability buddy, payment can be done separately (not one payment if you don't want), full access for life to it after all payments are done (so you can go at your own pace- and this is what I am doing, going at my own pace although you could easily write and publish a book within 90 days as many others did), easy to understand and very charismatic speaker, mastermind community on Facebook (where you can interact with others, get inspired and there are weekly Google hangouts).
That;s something that's come right away to my mind. It was recommended to me by Steve (i've tried that), who earlier recommended the WA community to me - so that's I totally trusted his recommendation based on previous experience.
