PAGE 1 = Tip #1: Useful and Unique Content
PAGE 2 = Tip #2: Using Your Time Wisely
PAGE 3 = Tip #3: Blog Stats and Your Time
PAGE 4 = Tip #4: Do Not Be a Clone
PAGE 5 = Tip #5: Believe in Yourself!

In this training, I would like to share a few blog tips for beginners.

Starting bloggers might encounter certain challenges on their blogging journey, so hopefully this short training will be useful for them.

Now, a few suggestions for those who created their own blog and decided to promote it, for those who are thinking of creating a blog, and even for those who already have a blog, but do not have much traffic.

Let's start with the first tip.

Tip #1:

Concentrate on writing useful and unique content on your blog.

If the purpose of creating your blog is to make money (which is true in most cases), then do not chase this purpose just yet.

First thing is to provide a useful content for people, and then everything else. Every successful blogger will tell you to focus on the quality content to be published on your blog and regularly enough!

Eventually, you will have your earnings.

Use this free-writing exercise before writing content for your blog.

Be patient, be persistent.

You are welcome!

I agree, we all need reminders.

I used to check the stats often but that was months ago. Now it's when I remember :)

How do you enjoy Wealthy Affiliate so far?? Must be a lot of training videos on your list, eh?!
Reply

Yeah, my eyes are on fire! I just noticed you were ranked like 30th! I am like, wow, but then they fixed it, but still you know, that's good. You've created a lot of content for WA, would you advise to do the same or is better to concentrate on the affiliate content in terms of $$$?
Reply
Zarina Premium
Yeah, Rob, yesterday there was a glitch, but still I am very close to top 50 :) I am here almost every day and I try to provide as much help as possible. I even started making the motivational quotes/images to post them here for motivation :)

Being active here is a good thing (personally I enjoy it a lot) - but number one thing you should concentrate on is creating GOOD content on your personal (!) blog/website.

Myself I fell behind with proper posting on time due to lots of changes going on in my life at the moment (in the moving process, part-time job stuff, financial matters to take care of), but once I move to a new place, I will get back to consistent blogging on my blogs as well.

My point is that good content is definitely #1 thing you should focus on and every successful blogger will tell you this.

I would suggest not getting too ahead of yourself, by which I mean thinking about advertising, selling merchandise and ad space is not something you'll have to worry about first unless your blog is so amazing that it catches fire from the start (that'd be awesome if you did!).

Your major goal is to create compelling content that fills a need and to has an audience who will want to read your blog consistently, not just the first time they visit. You want to fill your site with content that will make them want to come back and stay on your page longer to decrease your bounce rate.

Hope this helps!

One more thing to double check with you - when you said "to concentrate on the affiliate content in terms of $$$" - did you mean creating a website specifically promoting WA, like the Affiliate Bootcamp training teaches? Or you meant something else?
Reply
Olsol Premium
Yep, you've got it, that's exactly what I was asking, thx!
Reply
Zarina Premium
You can create a website promoting specifically WA if online business and blogging is something of interest to you - as long as you enjoy doing it! Online business is a way to free ourselves from office slavery, so it shouldn't be doing something we hate!

Personally, I'm interested in the topic of self development, as well as blogging and online business as I have a lot of knowledge accumulated on those two topics, so that's why I decided to build two websites. Ideally, it's better to have one and put all the energy into it - but I decided to do so anyway. Takes a lot of energy and time though! But I'm loving it.

So my suggestion to you is create a website with the topic you enjoy talking about every day :)

Hope it helps, Rob!

Hi Zarina, thanks for the helpful training. I have a niche website and I'm thinking of starting another one on blogging/starting an online business. Do you think that's a good idea or should I just focus on my current blog? I'm also thinking of writing a 'how to start a blog' post on my niche website to promote WA.

Btw, it looks like the link to your time management training isn't working anymore.

Zarina Premium
Hey Yvonne!

1) Frankly, it's extremely challenging to keep up even with two websites if you're doing it solo and don't outsource content (have people write for you).

In Amazon niches, it might be ok outsourcing but in terms of blogging websites, sometimes it's best to write it all yourself. Some people say it's a waste of money.

I don't know. I have an Amazon niche website and an old WA website though I am started a new website for WA and will work on it instead of an old WA blog (too much to re-work there).

2) How to start a blog post - you can sure write it but if you're asking if the keyword is fine, I will be honest, it might be challenging to write for it.

Maybe try finding more long tail keyword thats less competitive.

3) Yeah, thanks for pointing it out! I disabled the tutorial and used it to write a post on my new WA website. In case you still want to read about it, here it is: https://laptoplifestylebeauty.com/productivity-and-time-management-tips

That website doesn't have much content yet and I had no energy or ideas so I used my WA's tutorial because it wasn't super popular here lol.

Hope this helps!

Hi Zarina!

Yes, I can imagine it will be very challenging to keep up with two websites if one is doing it alone. One site is already taking up so much of my time and energy.

I blog about soup and South-East Asian recipes. Can I make the site into an Amazon niche?

I just read the training on your blog. I left a comment! Thanks for your helpful tips :)

Excellent ideas and layout.
I recommend trying out Grammarly.com (it is free) and adding, to help with grammar and spelling mistakes. It has been a big help for me. Another thing is that you can get hung up with training. I think you should set up your personal plan of training for 1/2 to 1 hours each day. It can take up all your day and you get nothing else done. Use what you learn every day so it does not go through one ear and out the other. Training is important always.
Time management is the key. That should be included in the training. I find that I run out of time every day. I am working on that.

Hi Laurie,

I found out about Grammarly after I wrote this training but am using it now with success! And it's definitely convenient!
Sometimes I type fast, so I don't even pay attention but highlighted words by Grammarly make me stop and edit before submitting. Great tool.

Actually, I did include the time management training tutorials (even two of them) after this very first training tutorial.
Feel free to check them out: and Let me know what you think!

That is true time management is very important because time is running short and if we do not find a way to work or study at WA, we will always slack back.

Definitely - we have to be disciplined enough to make use of our time.

Hi Zarina, a good reminder to new, and experienced bloggers, to stay focused and pay attention to what matters. It's also good advice to stop obsessing so much about money, and instead provide quality content that readers will enjoy, learn from, and want more of. The rest will follow. Cheers, Hindy

Would you share what a typical day is for you working on your site?
Reply
Zarina Premium
Hi Charley,

Well, I always start my day with a cup of coffee :))

I usually try to work both on blog and on WA page once I am on laptop, so first I would post certain WA resources on Twitter.

Then I would work on my blog content. I have an outline of the things I want to write about but my topic is about personal development and success, so my blog posts turn out to be deep enough. However, I do reply to the comments that I receive on my blog to ensure good "site health".

This being said, it takes me longer to work on website's content, yet I try to spend a bit of time on WA content every day.

How is it for you Charley?

Thank you for stopping by!
