PAGE 2 = What Are Tags and Categories?
PAGE 3 = Reasons You Should Not Use the Same Word for Both
PAGE 4 = Final Piece of Advice

In this tutorial, I would like to guide you through the WordPress tags and categories topic. Specifically, whether you can use the same word for both the tag and category on your website.

When I just started building my WordPress blog, I spent a great deal of time figuring out how to work correctly with categories and tags on WordPress, and I found some information that the new website builders might find useful.

Before I move on, on the next page I included the basic definitions for WordPress tag and WordPress category to enhance your understanding.

Hi Isabella,

Thank you very much for your support, advice and encouragement! Without you, I wouldn't have come to realize that I am allowed to create training!
Very much appreciated! :)

Actually, I've created three more trainings already!

One is about the difference between a blog and a website: The other one is a follow-up to the previous one: And the third one is about passive income: :)))

Once again, thanks so much to YOU!

God Bless You,
Zarina

I came here not knowing what to expect because I felt like tags and categories are minor things but after reading through, I realize it needs equal attention like the content. Good work done keep going girl

hi Kasotty!
Very informative and well done! You explained very well the difference between categories and tags. I use both and I also see categories as broad subgroups that readers can search on your site. In one category you will then have related posts. Tags are more specific to the particular post. About its specific content.
