Someone I know wants to build a website on SiteRubix but doesn't want to sign up for WA. If I give them my affiliate link for SiteRubix, will they have to join WA to continue,
They may not sign up for the paid premium membership, but you will get 2 credits ($1) if they use your link to do set up their account, profile, and finally the site rubix website.

Most of the pages on my website are set to have the sidebar on the right.
what theme are you using? Usually, if your theme allows it, you can go to appearance > customize, then layout. If you don't see that, tell me what theme you are using and I will put it on my test site and have a look.
where did you find the theme? I'm asking because it is not coming up in search in my dashboard

I think I might have to create a static homepage. I don't have a problem doing that. The only thing would be getting my blog posts to appear on it.

but then realized after that the home page didn't change.
I have mine set to static homepage so that isn't going to change anything.

If you're not opposed to changing themes - I can recommend GeneratePress. I have it on a couple of my sites. I know you can change which side the side bar is on with it as well as a few other nice and simple customizing options.

Screenshot is done. All my comments appear as one word columns instead of in a normal paragraph format.
For starters, this looks like a spam comment which should have been filtered out with your antispam plugin. It may have some code in it which is causing the problem. Are all your comments like this or just this one?
Most of my comments appear this way. One or two are normal. This comment comes from another member at WA so it shouldn't be spam.
It could be your theme. Try using a WordPress standard theme (Twenty Fourteen or Twenty Sixteen) and see if that makes a difference. If your comments look normal in a different theme then go to your theme's support forum at wordpress.org If it's a premium theme then go to the theme's developer's support. Or just use a different theme Choose a New Theme

What theme are you using might be worth looking at another one, try it out on a practice site, when you go to select a theme go to the filter and look at the features you want
I am using Tesseract 2. I might get on YouTube and see if anyone else who followed the tutorial is having the same issues.

Why do comments on my posts show up in columns?

Just keep the ones you really need. Is there a manual way you can perform the tasks that dome of them do?
I'll have to look into it. For the time being, I'm going to say no, but a plugin is a shortcut, so I think there has to be a way.
Try to keep your plugins to as few as possible, they will cause a slow load time. Some say no more than 3-4

In your first example the number is in fact incorrect. To see true number go to the last page which google gives on the bottom of the screen. It will be far smaller.
We have learned recently from Kyle that this number of sites will be maximum around 400 or so. Google simply does not give more. But if the number is considerably below this value, say 300 or lower then this is your true competition for search without quotes.
Hi Kalie! What I learned about the difference is this. When you use the quotations between the phrase, you would be seeking to find results from everything within "What foods contain potassium" EXACTLY as it appears.
Without the quotations allows for searches put in by people that are somewhat close to, but NOT exactly what they might have intent for. Thus without quotations in a search, it would bring back larger results, not all of which might be exactly what you may be seeking.

The quotes make google search for those exact words in the order specified. Without the quotation marks, google finds results based on each of the words individually.
For example, without the quotes, google will find a huge number of articles which describe potassium as a chemical but with no relation to foods. It will also find a large number of articles on foods which have nothing to do with thier potassium content.
Too bad people don't use quotation marks in all their search queries. If that was the case, my article could be discovered easily using keywords. Since Google shows everything that contains those words but in no particular order, it's much more complicated.

For a siterubix website, you do have to join WA, this can as a free member or as a premium member.
As a free member you get 2 siterubix websites, and limited access.
Siterubix is owned by WA, you just hire the subdomain.
