Can i have a blog post that always appears on my home page?

So I am still early in course 2, however, I had this question pop up in my head and thought I'd get some feedback. Lets say I had my website up and ready to go, ready to make so
Hello Joey. I think Google can find out what you are doing and it would not help you get ranked. Blessings!
Hilda
Think of it this way.
Yes you can try all the computers around you.
Yes it will shows increased traffic
Yes Google will work it out you are scamming them they know your IP address.
Yes you could do this a million time if you have the time to waste
Next question all the time you spend clicking, visiting your website say a million times as you said when will you have the time to spend doing quality content on it's own which Google will really see and take notice of? Maybe they will penalize you for trying to scam them.
But in the process of creating quality work, Google may even reward you properly and raise you ranking status saving more valuable time.
Besides if they find you are trying to scam the system with them they could penalize you to the point where you won't even be on their radar much less to the public.
Enjoy your weekend.
No problems just don't want you to lose all you worked for here. It is not worth it to try and go behind Google's back.
Enjoy the rest of the day/evening
Hi Joey left a comment on your site. Also do a spell check on each page there is not much just a couple bits and pieces.I didn't mention the spell check on your site not necessary that comment is for here.
Take care
Andre
Awesome, thanks for the comment! I'll go through and give everything a read over again. Still adding more content!
No probs and yes that is the main key adding more content regularly.
Take care and a job well done.
Andre
Very little point trying to game the system when Google can see where all the clicks come from
Trying to game Google always sets you on a course to a dead end because you spend so much time trying to cheat which never really works and now you have lost all that time where you could have been building a quality site
Many people in the world are trying to chase the quick buck only to realize they are chasing a ghost

I think Google is too smart to fall for that. :) Not only do I think it would probably be a big waste of time for you and wouldn't work but it's against Google's rules to click on your own Adsense links, for example. Good luck--waiting for traffic to increase can feel agonizing sometimes!
I'm not talking about the adsense links, I mean simply visiting my own site, backing out, and doing it again.
Don't even think about it. You've got to put the address of your website somewhere, and ask people to go on it to check on it. If people check on your website, and you ask them to leave comments then they will.

Can you fake traffic to your site to increase google rank?

I would think that Google has every angle covered. It's a big risk to take when trying to fool the mighty G! I wouldn't do :p I also knew somebody who had their Google Adsense account closed down coz they were asking friends and family to click ads on their site. If Google sees a pattern, they will punish you.

So I really enjoy computers, I use them every day at work and at home. I am trying to find my first niche and I'm thinking Computers. When I say that I mean helping people find
The word computer itself is too broad, should be narrow down what kind and brand, also the usage will be better for your niche
I'm not a computer expert, but I think just the generic term "computers," is broad. Narrow it down to something you love about computers and you should be fine!
Hi jvara33, My take is that this niche is ok as long as you can write strong content that target various aspects in this area which are helpful to your potential clients as you make sales in the process.
Of course I stand to be corrected.
Good luck
Hi! I've also chosen computers as my niche as I work for an IT company but computers on its own is of course, too broad, so I decided to focus on help, advice and troubleshooting them.
How are you getting with Jaaxy? There was a pretty helpful Webinar on making use of Jaaxy on 30 August by Jay, which I couldn't be a part of as I was on holiday, but thankfully they are all recorded so I watched some of it yesterday.
Anyway, let us know how you get on!
All the best,
Nick
What you need to do is break down the term computers into small points of interest that relate to computers. You are headed in the right direction with computer security and hardware. All you have to do is keep thinking of more areas to talk about. Keyword tools are very good for this.
Laptops are good, but I think may be too broad. Perhaps you might want to focus on a specific brand of laptops like Apple or something?
Hello...did you get the help you needed? I can help you with your niche...just let me know...
I did, this is what I have done so far:
laptopfinderpro.com
Let me know what you think!
Thanks!
Oh, nice looking website! You did a great job with your Page titles. I like the comparison chart...very easy to understand. I also like how you, on different Pages, show a photo and a small description...the layout is easy to navigate. Your bold titles are interesting...for example, the area for students and what computers to purchase, makes it easy for them to decide. I am always interested in battery life. You have all the topics covered. You should feel really proud of yourself for creating this website! I notice you don't have anything linked so you can make money. Have you learned that yet? I am here to help...great work though and keep going!
I'm just getting to course 3, really the only things I've linked to Amazon, are the pictures within the comparison chart, and the text that says amazon.com within my reviews. I heard in another post that it wasn't good to overload your site with links or advertisements.
Do you think these ways I have right now are to subtle? I plan to add Google adsense, still building up to it though. Much more content will be generated this week also!
I would ask again. If you are speaking about different computers, I love the idea of clicking on each and being able to purchase. Please ask others again and let's see.
I'm confused by your response lol
What I am planing to add is a blog post about the top 5 computers under $400. Then provide the appropriate links for users to go and buy them. Is this what you mean?
That is actually a great idea. I was thinking about being able to click on your photos and being redirected to purchase...just another option. I like your idea too, though!
I think it depends on how your site is set up. Are you going to be recommending one laptop above all others?
Are you going to be showing comparison charts between different laptops so readers can more easily compare laptops to decide for themselves which is best for them?
Will you be providing instructions for any of the additional hardware you recommend?
I like the idea. I think it would require a lot of upkeep on the site because computers are changing all the time. This is something that you will want to consider: how much time are you wanting to spend on upkeep of the site once it is built out?
Final thought, any niche can be successful. Even the crowded ones. You just need to find a way to stand out from the crowd. If you go to sites similar to what you want to do and read the comments. You can start to get a feel for what your audience is wanting.
What questions that are being asked in comments on other sites could be the starting point for you to create your content for your site. Especially if they are questions that keep coming up on the different sites.
