On Google Adsense, I recently received a message that my ad serving has been limited, and there was an issue with invalid traffic concerns.

From the advice I have had so

Looks like Abie and AJ are pretty well onto it Joshua
Michael.

Hi, my findings

Tips to help you prevent invalid traffic on your ads
Understand your ad traffic and site visitors.
Avoid partnering with untrusted / low-quality parties
Don't click on your own ads, even if you think it's okay to do so
Double- and triple-check your implementation.
Consult the AdSense Help Forum.

Thanks for that, Abie!

I'd keep looking I would certainly add here when I find something else.

You are so very welcome.

Hey Josh,

You bet it does. That is why Kyle suggests we link to our review page and offer our affiliate links only on the review page.

The fewer the affiliate links the better chance of ranking quality content for sure.

Hope this helps you.

Ah i see Trish I was thinking that? For the last 140 posts I have made I have put around 4/5 affiliate links to the same affiliate offer so that could be the problem.

Do you think google are seeing this and ranking me lower? And should I swap thsee links and link to a 'top rates survey sites' page on my site instead?

Yes Josh, that might be your issue. Not to worry, I had to adjust some of my links too.

Here's some training you could definitely gain an advantage from: Following Grace's advice, you can't help but win!

Sometimes I wonder that myself. Some say it won't, some say it will. Never got a clear answer myself. Maybe here you'll get results here.

You got some good advice. I am sorry that I couldn't help you this time around maybe next time.

No problem Mary

If the articles are long enough, it shouldn't. But why are you only using one merchant? There are so many others out there that are great besides SwagBucks.

Because I have reviewed most survey sites out there and Swagbucks is the best site of the ones I've checked out. I have decided to start promoting some of the other established sites in the industry though, so that might help give me more income sources

Keep in mind that the criteria you decided to use to define "best" may not be the same criteria others have. That's why it's important to give options to your visitors.

Don't overkill the links - Google might think you spamming which could affect your rankings.

Two - three links maximum

Good point Rich, I am concentrating now on cutting down links on past posts

Google react badly if you have too many links with each post as they consider it spammy
Hope this helps
Vicki

Was thinking that also, thanks Vicki!

so glad you did Josh

So I submitted a sitemap into google webmaster tools however only 7 from over 918 images are coming up as indexed.

Anyone know why this is?

Kyle said it would make the process faster. He didn't say it was instant.

I would wait a couple days and it should start to propagate through google's network.

Is your problem solved?
I never had this problem before but since a month, not a single image of my site is indexing. I have submitted over 1000 images but none of them indexed.

I also need to learn more about this.
Cheers
Andrew

I have the same thing, Joshua. I was told to not worry about it. Let's see what others say:)

Over the last month or so I have noticed that many of my posts are ranking high on google and then dissapearing of Google. They come back after maybe a week and I see my traffi

Yes, Joe is right!

I have one website that has 173 pages and posts. I see a lot less of that now than I used to because of the many ranking keywords.

I love when I see two or three articles from my website on page one and two!

See the answer below.

Tried and True

Elaine

Ranking is dynamic and not static, more so if the niche is very competitive. I believe the post was not disappeared but rather down the ranking. What is important is to keep creating good content for the site, targeting more low-hanging keywords so that you are not depending on certain post or keyword to get ranked.

So I keep getting error messages from pages that I've deleted however every time I mark as fixed they come back shortly after.

Is it a good idea to take the content out

Hi,

my general advise regarding content that isn't that great is:

make it better.

It is best to not un-publish or delete content, for as soon as content is published and indexed by Google, it is there forever. Errors or bad link errors will occur all the time and might not get removed, when you remove content or draft them again.
In due time perhaps it will, but if your article name and title are of good keywords, you shouldn't delete the content, but rather improve the content of your article.

While I am also a perfectionist when it comes down to content publishing, I have learned it is best to just publish and improve over time.

The other danger of being a perfectionist is that you never publish anything and putting something private or in draft is exactly that same type of problem.

Write something for a good keyword
- publish it.
- update the post later with better content or rewritten content.

When your post ranks, don't remove content but add to your article.

Steven

Google's memory is mixed up. When it recorded a post and it happens that you delete it it will not just obliterate its record so it marks it as an error because it cannot be found.

Hey Joshua,

What I find best when dealing with unknown prompts is to copy and paste the prompt into Google search. That way, you are most likely to find posts offering tips on how to fix an issue.

As for updating your information and making it public, that is always a good idea.

Hope this helps you.

Hi Trish,

Thanks for that helpful input!, I'll carry on going with the rest of the posts and see if that helps!
