New Product Review Record, 4009 words!
Wow, this is getting easier already!
Today I wrote my 2nd product review on my new website in as many days - and already have I hit a personal record of 4009 words!
That's a new product review record of 4409 words for ME - and I'm just getting started.
And I must say, its a pretty damn good review!
The Words Kept Flowing
The words just flowed organically today, I knew the product inside-out (as I currently use the product), its definitely a good product but it has it's flaws too.
I wrote an honest and very thorough review, did my keyword research right and ended up getting some great scores with Yoast SEO.
Most who have written about this product have continued to extol it; I have hardly ever seen one negative comment written about it.
However as good as this product is, I've honestly had some not-so-great experiences with it. So I certainly made sure to expose the bad as well as the good, and was specific about the areas they need improvement on, as well as acknowleding their great traits.
This is one of the real MAIN reasons you we need to do authentic product reviews - if we followed every other review out there the complete truth would not be told!
And by listening to and writing only off of ALL of the postive reviews (in this case), and not exposing a real truth based on your own empirical experience is ultimately doing the consumer a disservice.
Not only that, when you are SINCERE and TRUTHFUL to your own REAL personal experiences with a product or service and you happen to be contrarian to everyone else, you are very helpful to your readers, and people can see right thorugh that.
And if you are consistent in telling YOUR STORY with a product or service through your OWN experiences, as contrarian as they may be, your readers will ultimately REWARD YOU for it with TRAFFIC and ultimately NEW SALES.
This is how everyone WINS at this game.
Today I think I hit a home run with this review.

These product reviews get much easier when you do them, I can already feel the pattern now. If someone who loathe doing reviews as much as I have can get his "review mojo" going, so can you!
As I mentioned before, I am "sticking to my guns" and will always be writing from the position of authenticity. There's really no excuse not to, with so many products and services out there that you can test trial for FREE without ever buying them.
Not to mention the products and services you have used in the past that still are on the market today.

You know what is best for you.
Take whatever good training is out there, learn it. take whatever you need and use it - then do it YOUR way.
We all succeed in our own ways!

4009 words is a sign of hard work. II have not reached 2,000 words yet but I now have a target. Thank you for sharing.
2,000 words is still great, in fact between 2000--30000 words is optimum Ahimbe.

My personal record is 5009 words for a product i personally use. It's a lot easier when you know the ins and outs of it.
However it's way down in the google Serps which discouraged me to write such long reviews.
Now i just tend to write 2000 - 3000 word articles and they have actually been doing much better.

You will hear different opinions on the optimum number of words, but lately I've been hearing more content ranks higher.

Great job Kaju! They do start to flow easier and easier as you keep going. Practice makes perfect. Over time, you'll also have people who come and say they really appreciate your service, and it makes it all worthwhile.
Hehe funny because I tried to avoid it, now I can't stop thinking of what my next review will be...and my poor niche site is now a little neglected while I am promoting WA.
That is impressive, Kaju. When you are in the zone, the words flow. I haven't been in the zone in a while. So writing reviews has been a struggle. Part of my problem is doing research and heading off onto a tangent.
Thanks Glen. It disappoints how many people think its okay to not write authentic product reviews. They see other people succeed, and think that's the only way to succeed, when it's not. They are blind and cannot see what they are doing.

The research is always the hardest part. That's why it's easier if you write from experience. (or at least some experience supplemented with additional research).
Most of my product review writing is from the experience I have had with products. I do research to support conclusions, or to add interesting asides. Like a review I did of an affiliate marketing tool. I used Abraham Maslow's quote about hammers.
“I suppose it is tempting, if the only tool you have is a hammer, to treat everything as if it were a nail.”
If I find a product to review that I do not have experience with, then I do a lot more research.
Speaking of a review I read yesterday that was NOT authentic was done by a WA member. It was probably the worst one I've seen.
I was searching for other reviews of a product I wanted to review. I found one on the 1st page of the SERP. The review starts off by saying the product is such a scam that it was not worth the effort to review. And that other products like it are scams.
This was a lead into a review of Wealthy Affiliate. 😲
This was so bad it was sad.
You have me very curious now Glen, I will need to search for that review, I want to see what is really bad as well as the really good. It's educational.
I saw another one of how Wealthy Affiliate is a scam, and how that's the reason you should buy into WA! (lol)
