Certification 5 Now Complete, Refocus Gets It Done!

Ladies and Gents, I certainly don't recommend finishing the OEC training the way I've done it,
STOP, START...STOP, START...

But the bottom line is now OEC is behind me, Certification 5 is completed, and Refocus Gets It Done!

Now that my formality is official, let's put this all in perspective.

It's Always Your Own Choice

Your progress in how you complete the training is your own choice, and should never be dictated by the progress of your peers.

It should be dictated only by factors that are both objective and subjective, including your available time and own comfort level.

There is no wrong or right way to finish the training.

For me, the timing was perfect. I never rushed the training, doing pieces here and there at my own pace, while I always remained busy working steadily on my own businesses.

I did it my own way.

While not tackling the training sequentially, all the while I was constantly learning, gathering information, researching, writing content, selling using e-commerce, teaching others, building websites, working social media seminars, mastering WordPress and new tech....

But above all I was constantly DOING IT.
I always had "skin" in the game.

Seeing with a New Set of Eyes

So while I was recently placing the finishing touches on my new MMO site, I resumed my OEC training. Right where I left off at Level 5.

I would see the training with a new set of eyes.

Since now that all of the training was SO relevant to what I was doing and the ACTIONS I already was taking daily, I finished the entire Level 5 training in 2 days!

As I was already doing everything on my own that was in the training before I actually revisited the training, competing Level 5 was more like a fantastic review.

It was both exciting and validating!

Once again, I did it my own way.

But you have to find your own stride.
And do it yours.

Restart Your Engines

My Friends, It's never too late to restart your engines and re-motivate yourself to get back on track.

Don't get discouraged.

It's never too late to restart and finish the Training, no matter where you are in your progress.

There are ambassadors here (both current and former) who never completed the training beyond Level 2. In fact, there are even ones who never started the training.

That doesn't take anything away from their valuable knowledge and expertise, their ability to make money online, or their great help to the community.

It just proves it is never too late, or that you are never so far behind.

And that we all should always make decisions that are right for our own situations.

Learn as You GO

Life is a constant learning process, and we learn as we go and are working in succeeding in our businesses.

Seldom is learning linear.

If a long-time WA Ambassador of 450 days can restart, STOP, and finish the Training, then you have nothing to lose.

I hope this post will provide inspiration to you to keep going, and Never Give Up.

Keep Learning, Keep Reaching, and above all KEEP ACHIEVING!

Onward and Upward....Always.

Cheers,
Kaju

Congrats, a job well done and please trust me when I say, now it is done, and no one cares how you got there :))

I know been there done it

Sylvia

Thank You Sylvia, in hindsight I am glad I did it this way. And you are right, no one care (nor do I really care if they care either!)

Kaju

Well done friend and it is a great achievement and feeling when you manage to complete another training.

However, I have to agree with you that we all need to do the training at our own pace and it's not a race nor are there any prizes for finishing it quickly.

I always say, take it a step and a day at a time. You will always get there in the end. xxxx

That's right C, we have to finish it all at our own pace, our own comfort level. Quality in learning trumps speed in finishing. Always:)

Kaju

Exactly friend. Totally agree with you on that one. xxx

:):)

Congratulations I am currently in a similar situation with WA boot camp can't seem to finish level 3

Walk away from it, and focus on other learning. Implement some of what you learned, then GO BACK to the training at a later date.

You will be refreshed and see the training with a "new set of eyes" Ruth! Nothing to be frustrated about, you will finish when the time is RIGHT!

Kaju

Hey Kaju, congratulation on finishing, But I don't believe you needed the course, you already know what you going.
Sandy

Thanks Sandy, I appreciate that.

I am glad I waited to finish the training when I was at full comfort level, because since I was already DOING much of what was in the training, I picked up small nuances I would not have picked up before:)

Always,
Kaju

Ha ha...I was reading this with interest because that is exactly the boat I am in...then I saw I am included in your thoughts here as an Ambassador that hasn't finished the training!

Congratulations!

I have been really wanting to get that done lately and will soon. This month it is FEMA and state disaster inspectors, tenants giving 30 days notice at our building, trying to spruce up the place to get new tenants, bums breaking into the other building we manage in the bad part of town and doing drugs in the hall so we need to add security etc!

In any case, if I have time to post here then I should have time to finish the training!

I have a thought about this. I totally agree that the training should be done at your own pace. I do not recommend waiting as long as I have to finish it! However, I have personally seen members (my own referrals) rush through the training and "finish" it all in a week or two but then not implement anything. I think they read everything, checked the boxes and moved on without actually doing all the exercises. Even the ones they did they did once and then didn't touch again. Nothing was really absorbed or fully learned. None of it is being implemented on a regular basis so their sites are not nearly what they could be.

So, my point is just that it is worse to skim the training in a week when you are new here but not understand, implement and absorb it, than it is to muddle through slowly and put everything you learn into practice but not finish the training quickly.

You and I are proof that slow and steady will produce a good foundation for your business!

Jessica and Kaju, I understand what both of you are saying.

I think I finished mine maybe two weeks ago. I got hung up on the social media stage. Level 4 I think it was.

Personally, I think it is better to work your way slowly through the training. I've repeated levels 2 and 3 more times than I can count.

Yet, I think that it is highly likely that people that whiz through in couple of weeks or even a month, have missed more of the smaller details than they know.

Crap, I went slow and still missed the significance of doing reviews until last January.

Congratulations!!!

I went through to fast. And still, need to refer back to certain classes, Some of us need the training others such as yourself and Kaju did not need all of it, to begin with, We all start at a different level of expertize. Best wishes with FEMA. It sounds like you have your hands full. You will be in my thoughts,
Sandy

Jessica, you are very right. I have been here almost 3 years now and haven't finished the training. Albeit I am on the last part of Bootcamp, I have put it off because it is the pay per click part and I really do not have money I can just throw away so I stopped.

What I was going to say though is I always tell people there is no prizes for finishing early and it is certainly not a race either. We just take it a day and a step at a time. xxxx

That is very nice of you Sandy but I have to say I had no expertise in this at all when I started. I definitely needed the training. I just skipped around after I got to a certain point and would search for other member's training, watch Jay's videos or look at the training portion I needed rather than going through all in order.

I could not do any of this without WA training. I am pretty sure I will have covered most of what is in the training at this point so I should be able to go through most of the rest fairly quickly. I hope and expect there are still some gold nuggets in there for me to find however that will make my progress much faster!

I have not even started the Bootcamp so I don't blame you at all! I would not want to deal with pay per click either. We should do what we can and we don't have to be on identical paths! There is so much information here that we can be successful focusing on different details once we get the basics.

Jessica

I agree! I haven't even gotten to level 4!!

Jessica, I totally agree with you. I started with the Bootcamp and I always say that I am glad I did as I feel I learned a lot more as it is more intense I think. We all learn at different levels and take things in easier than others. Just go at your own pace Jessica and you will get there. xxx

Hey Jessica,

Great thoughts and totally AGREE......." I have personally seen members (my own referrals) rush through the training and "finish" it all in a week or two but then not implement anything.

That's the worst! As I say here in my post, you have to take action on what you ar learning, in short order! If nothing was absorbed to a point where something could be implemented, then it's a waste.

One of the reasons I believe that unless you can apply what you learn right away, you better finish the training at a time where you are more comfortable to do this.

It's totally understandable, you are so busy with your businesses (just as I was), you will get it done, no doubt!

I also mentioned there were other ambassadors who didn't even do any of the training at all. But that's not a knock, because those ambassadors know how to make money and help people.

Kaju

Slow and steady canter is Best, Sondra, you know that. Particularly if you are not in a place to fully absorb the training to implement it successfully.

That's good on you!
Congrats:)!

Kaju

Well said, Sandy...very well said:)

Jessica, when all the dust clears and you are ready to sit down and finish the training, you will find it much easier and it will be more effective.

Believe me, since much of this is what you are already implementing, the training will be like a welcome review. Not only will you enjoy it more, you will pick up "small nuances" from the training you never would have absorbed had you rushed through it from the beginning:)

K

Indeed C, go at your own Pace Wins the Race!

Jessica, you will find many "gold nuggets" there and you will now absorb and retain the training much better than if you went through it in order from the beginning. And you will enjoy it more. I promise.

I'm glad I went about doing it this way.
Kaju

Also we don't have to focus on ALL the information to be successful, even if we only really learn very WELL and consistently take action on the most relevant parts of the training, we can succeed.

Exactly, only thing is there is no prize just the self satisfaction that you get being able to move onto the next one. xxx

Very true:)
When the money comes in, that helps too:)

Yes, I would agree with you on that one friend. xxx

Looking forward to more Cha-Chinging!

I would just like to start Cha-chinging lol.

I saw a joke about that -

You will keep on cha chinging friend, don't you worry. xxx

Cha-Chingggg!!

Is that you Cha Chingggging again Mr lol. xxx

Of course!

Well done friend, mind and send some of them cha chings my way now and again lol. xxx

Yes most certainly:)

Thank you friend, you are so kind to me as usual. xxxx

;):)

Kaju, you done it! Congrats and well done. We always have to do it our way or we can't be proud of our accomplishments.

Danny
