I must have lost my mind
So why have I lost my mind you may ask? I have spent the better part of the last two weeks with the mayor of the town that I live in working out the fine points of a fundraiser that I thought of. The title of it is The First Annual Nash Brisket Cookoff. The fire department in our town is like any other town, it is always underbudgeted. I thought that if we held a fundraiser for the fire department that we would come together as a community. He told me to come up with a proposal be March 8 to present it to him and he would put it on the schedule for the City Council on March 12. He so liked the proposal that he made the decision right away to have the fundraiser on June 16. There were only two parts of my proposal that he changed: he changed it from being an individual contest to a team contest and changed the date.
Now you may be wondering what this has to do with WA. It shows that there are opportunities everywhere, we just have to keep an open mind. You can take something like a fundraiser and own it on your site if your are into competition, grilling, fashion, challenges, etc... Do you see where I am going with this. We are all faced with what to write, when to write, what content do we want to share, images, etc.... We face this everyday. The point is we decide and no one else how we achieve this goal.
After saying all of this I am happy to say that I need one more signature to having exclusive media rights to the event. I will be working hard to get that signature but I will still share the rights with the media since I am going to ask them for several PSA(Public Service Announcement). That would only be fair to them.
The mayor had asked me to get 10 teams together. To date, I have 13 teams and am looking to having 7 more. I will be able to use everything from the event on one of my websites since it deals with global grilling. I hope that at least some of you can see the benefit of being alert to opportunities whereever or whenever they arise.

Hi Jerry, I totally agree. We do need to keep our eyes and ears open. So many opportunities present themselves to us all the time. We have to be ready and willing. Trusting your own Discernment, will help determine whether it is right for you or not.
