I see many members posting comments for every follow or every reply asking other members to view their website. Isn’t this against WA policy ?

Within the WA system, it already provides a proper channel to ask either for feedback and/comments on your site.
We should refrain ourselves from asking people visit our site from other channels except it is a question they need the community to look at and give answer.
Thank you. I did know that we aren’t supposed to ask other members to visit their websites unethically. My curiosity and the motive behind posting this question was to know why members still do it :)
There are only 2 possibilities:
1) They really do not know the rules
2) Ignorant
I really hope those who did it are in category (1) and come across your post and stop doing what they have done in the past.

These are the best places to add your link rather than in Live Chat or elsewhere.

Ask someone to view their website against wa policy?

I personally don't do it unless I think it's relevant. I have a link of my website in my WA profile (like you mention) so if people really want to check it out it is there. But I don't invite them to go.
My goal is not really to get visitors from WA, although I kinda do have visits of some when asking for comments in the SiteComments section of WA
My goal is to get visitors from search engines like Google and maybe from social platforms eventually.

My pleasure
