I was wondering about the difference between a post and page when adding content to your site. What are the best reasons to use one over the other? To many of you this may be o
From what I understand, a page is static and gives info on your website and other info like your contact info and policies and disclosures. They rarely change. Posts let the reader communicate with you with questions and comments. You can then give more info to them. Cheers, Nicole
A great explanation I got once about Posts and Pages which helped me understand it once and for all.
Pages are like the back cover of a book where you get an idea about what the book (website) is about and what you can expect to get out of it.
Posts are the actual content of the book, where you tell your story!

Great answers already from Marion and Howard. I think of pages as more general and evergreen than posts. I also like to relate pages to categories sometimes. So you might have a page called SEO for example, that gives an overview of what it is and then maybe a post category with the same name where you can store specific posts about different aspects of SEO.
Posts have categories. You can add categories to your menu to make your posts easier for your visitors to find what they're looking for. Menu With Custom Links and Drop Down Non-Clickable Headings

Sorry i am so late...you have already gotten great answers from others. If you read through them as I just did, you get a good overview of the difference between the two.
