I was just trying to install MailerLite on my site and the API key kept failing. I contacted support and they informed me that they will not approve my account because they do
In relation to affiliate marketing, Mailerlite's terms of use are a bit confusing. I got in touch with their support team before applying for my account. They explained that so long as you are promoting relevant offers to your subscribers then you are not in breach of their terms of use. Might be worth contacting support.
Yes, I had the same issue with them. I had subscribed with them on another niche and everything was «ok», but as soon as I tried to register a new website for affiliate marketing I was disapproved. I suggest MailChimp or MadMimi, they both have free accounts...
Hope this helps :)
Denis
Hi Hammer11B,
That is strange! I use Mailerlite with ThriveLead and it works perfectly fine. I would contact them and see what is wrong.
Kind Regards,
Eric
Thanks for responding Eric. I was actually thinking of you when I posted this because I remembered that you use this. I was able to connect with support and they said their official policy is that anyone that users affiliate marketing is not eligible to use their platform.
Hello Hammer11B,
This is taken from their Terms of Service:
Affiliate Marketing and Affiliate Links are two different things. Affiliate Marketing is prohibited in MailerLite, but Affiliate Links are fine in most cases.
Affiliate Marketing (Prohibited) - is a type of business where you earn commission by promoting other company’s products. We don’t allow this activity, because there’s no direct relationship between you and your subscribers. You are not allowed to send unrelated offers to your subscribers or pretend to be another brand.
Affiliate Links (Allowed) - is a way to recommend product or service to your subscribers in your campaigns. Advertisement for another company (Affiliate Link) can only appear under your branding and be clearly presented as a special offer from another company. Moreover, the offer has to be related to your content and meet subscriber expectations.
You are not allowed to send emails with links to content that is prohibited in our Terms of Use. Campaigns with blacklisted links will be stopped automatically and we may be forced to close the account permanently.
Kind Regards,
Eric
Sounds like their terminology is confused. I understand they probably don't want "bridge pages" or websites without their own brand who are simply redirects to another.
I don't know what to do with them then. My website and your website are very similar in nature and we promote similar companies. I am going to just look for an alternative auto responder.

Mailerlite is not supported for affiliate marketers?

I joined Mailchimp free plan, and the pop-up shows up an error when I tested. Not sure if it's because my niche also promotes WA? - I did read their policy that states:
"we can’t allow businesses that offer these types of services, products, or content:
.
.
.Affiliate marketing"
Guess Mailchimp is not an option for affiliate marketer either?
So is there ANY free autoresponders that can work for those who are in the affiliate marketing niche?
Thx,
Hi!
I use AWeber, which is very easy to use. You can try it out for a month for free.
Hope I could help.

As I am getting more and more into the fine tunings of my website, I am realizing that I could increase my productivity a lot by having someone helping me out.
Has anyo
Business partnership or joint ventures - two or more heads are always better than one. My husband and I have joint ventures in our agri-business (off-line). I tried to look for business partners online from fiverr for an online business but upon laying the WHOLE idea and made a draft for the memorandum of agreement, the guy ask me for funding to buy him a new macbook :(
I think you'd be better off finding someone to do some work (a contractor) rather than make them a partner. You'll never find someone who shares the same vision you have.
I am with Jeannine and Forrest, outsourcing some of the work would be the way I would go.
I had never thought of it but not sure how it would work with an online business and Affiliate marketing space. Food for thought
