Hello! Can I move a free wordpress blog that I don't own to WA? Or does it have to be a domain that I own to move it here? Thanks! Jen

Hi Jennifer. I might be wrong but my understanding is that if it's a free wordpress blog, I don't think it's possible as it is owned by the provider you signed up with. Although saying that, I'm not surprised if there is some coding that will allow that...

Is there a lot of content on your blog? For now what you could do is to share your website on your profile via the follow me link in the bottom right of your profile.

But once you do own it...Here are some links: Hope it helps!

Regards,
Naim

Thanks for clarifying this. Until I own it, I will just share on my profile. Thanks again!

Jen

No problem, just trying to help! :)

I finally wrote my about page for the Course 1 training. My website is called "Feeling Good After 40". I'd like to know what everyone thinks, and also I'd like to move my pho

Hi Jennifer,
Welcome here at WA, I read your 'about page' and it is really nice. I had to take the time to read it though (it's a little bit a long story...) but beautiful written.
You can replace your photo to delete this one at the bottom and than go to the top-right (for example after the sentence: "I know what you may be going through, or will be very soon.") where you want your photo and then 'add media' en place your photo again!
Wish you good luck!

Thanks Angelic! I still haven't figured out how to delete my photo at the bottom. I'm not very familiar with the theme I chose (Glowline) so I don't understand all its features yet.

I just realized I don't have a "comment" section yet. LOL I'll have to learn how to add. Any suggestions?

I may change my WordPress theme to Lovecraft, the one I use for my personal blog. I understand its features better.

What is the URL? I couldn't bring it up. JOhn

Here's the URL: http://feelinggoodafter40.siterubix.com/about-me.

Thanks for taking a look!

If I want to be emailed when particular people add a new blog, but not every person I follow, is there a way to do that? I am just getting too many emails right now and it is

The answer is no.

Well, I suppose that keeps things simple. Thanks.

I am pretty new to this. I think you will get emails from all the folks you follow. If there is a way to eliminate someone and still follow them someone will let you know.

I couldn't find much.

There are quite a lot. Perhaps you're looking in the wrong places.
Robert

I did find several reviews, but most seemed to be from people who were already members. I was looking for reviews from Forbes, or AboutMoney, or something of that nature before I subscribed. However, I went ahead and took the plunge when I watched a few of Kyle's videos and saw for myself how knowledgeable and well-spoken he is. I have high hopes and a strong work ethic, so I believe I can do well here.

Hi Jen.
Yes there are quite a lot of WA reviews, mainly I believe because members are encouraged to in the training.
But you're here now anyway and you believe you can do well.
Be aware that some of those early videos are a wee bit behind the times now due in no small part o the internet ever evolving.

Some of the lessons could also do with a wee bit updating.
Enjoy your Saturday and you get stuck, you ask.
Robert

Are there particular lessons or classrooms - not sure if my terminology is correct - that you recommend? I have a free WordPress blog that I use for creative writing, but nothing yet that involves advertising or money making.

What do you actually want to do Jen?
Do you have any sort of plan in mind to earn money from the internet?
I ask because most people who join do not have a clue about what they're supposed to do.
Robert

Actually, I brainstormed about this before I joined WA, as I never spend my money lightly. I've loved writing since I was a teenager and I've been a health and fitness buff for almost as long. I'd like to start a website or sites where I can write about workplace wellness or alternative medicine or vitamin supplements - any of a number of things, actually, that I'm passionate about and have learned quite a lot about over the years. I made a list of about 30 possible niches LOL. I love to shop online, and I was a professional buyer for a manufacturer for 4 years, so I know how to find good products and I'd like to help others find them as well. Also, I am a quick learner and hope to know the WA website inside and out pretty soon. Lastly, I just read your home based online business article on your website - very nice!

Jen

Hello Again Jen.
Ok you have some experience but I think you will find out that internet marketing is a whole new ball game so don't get overly confident because then you would surely make mistakes and with internet marketing that could be costly.
Its also not always about money and people tend to forget that and focus solely on that and forget to follow good practice and this is especially so with their SEO.
I have published many blogs within WA on this particular aspect of online marketing with your own website so please do not skip over it or ignore it altogether.
Search engines are swift and merciless in their punishment of this omission.
Enjoy your Saturday and you get stuck, you ask.
Robert

Thanks for the advice. I am eager to read your blogs to learn more. And I will definitely ask. Thanks again!

One for every niche? Thanks for your help, and have a great day!

Such a great question! Thanks for asking!

You don't need 50 websites you only need one there is an option to build up to 50 but one is more than enough

Once you build one that is successful alot of time you can get faster and build a few more. You could consider building a few sites for others and possibly charging them monthly hosting and webdesign and then just give them log in details and make some extra cash there as well. You can also build salespages and lots of other things down the road. In the beginning when going through training you typically only need one.

Thanks! Do my sites belong to me if I ever leave WA? Not that I plan to leave - I just think in both long and short term.

Yes your sites belong to you and what happens is you can export them to another sever/hosting after being build on here and vice versa. The main thing with WA is their hosting, as just that alone would be $99-259 for comparable hosting elswhere. This is helping members here outrank others on cheap slow shared hosting.

That makes sense - thank you!

It's just optional, it allows anyone who wishes for a bundle of websites to do so.
