Wednesday's Wintery Wanderings & Work!

As expected, the temps began to drop yesterday. I stayed up and on the computer for a while, but then headed to bed.
HUMP day morning's temps were in the low teens. We will see what the day manages to do, but at least the sun has been out.
I ended up doing my normal routine thing of venturing into the Wealthy Affiliate Community first.
That would help to set the tone for the rest of the day, There are always things to learn there for other esteemed members.
I also chatted with Mel on the phone for a while too. Then it was time for me to gather image of this colder, but sunny new day too,
We were barely into the 20s at the time. It wasn't long after that, when I had to go take advantage of $1.25 off a gallon of gas from one of my exes. After that, I had an errand to run, and I had to go look at the house that I had to re-key for a customer that called me late in the evening yesterday.
The drive was pleasant, but I knew the weather was still cold, but at least there wasn't any snow!
When I got the gas, and ran a quick errand across the street, I then headed across town to survey the house that I was supposed to change the locks on. I already knew that I had done this before, once I arrived there.
I'll be giving the guy that called last night a call later today, and let him know what my estimate will be. Then I will decide when I can do it. I have about 3-4 days allotted. Today just seemed a little chilly for the effort.
I chatted with him, and I reached out to his contact person, who has my number now, so that might be in the bag. I will be taking an early day off since not much else is going on right now, and I will be with Monica for awhile this evening, that means the post will drop later than usual.
Then there was a house unlock call that netted my $60 quickly. That is always welcome.
After that, I was headed to Monica's house.
I arrived there in short order. She had not made it home yet. When she did get home, I ventured inside got cleaned up for my VA physical in the morning, and then not long after that we ended up at the Chinese food restaurant at long last.
It was well worth the wait. We likely won't go back for a while though. We were stuffed to the gills.
I know after getting back, I will sleep very well tonight, but there are still a few more tasks to accomplish before I go to bed!
I HOPE THAT EVERYONE HAD ANOTHER EXCELLENT HUMP DAY TODAY. I FEEL LIKE I DID. I STILL HAVE MORE TO DO FOR THE REST OF THE EVENING THOUGH.

At $1.25 off per gallon, we would have a mile long queue over here, that's nearly 30p a litre reduction.
That chinese food looks delicious, its 10am Thursday here, and it's already got me thinking about food. Do you eat much Indian food over there Jeff, curries, vindaloos, baltis and so on.

Any Vietnamese restaurants. Great and healthy and good for the boom boom , so they say. I eat 3 bowls a day. 😂

Gosh! Over here there is one on every street, along with a chinese takeaway. How on earth do you manage.
In our small town, officially called a city because we have a cathedral, but more like a village - there are over 60 places to eat and drink.
Most are stupidly over-priced, its a tourist hot spot.
I got banned from one, for taking a starving homeless man in for something to eat. The poor sod hadn't eaten for 3 days, and there were all these fat pigs stuffing themselves. They should be ashamed of themselves.

I had the last laugh though, the cafe closed down about six months later, went bust. Oh well - karma.

Banned might be the wrong word. Enlightening is probably better.
You do not need restaurants like that in your life.
I have paid for an entire outdoor setting once or twice and the owners were stoked.
But Vietnamese can be poor but they have the kindest hearts.

20s and 30s here...snow all yesterday; clearing off today. My plow guy came so I can get in and out if I have to.

Got my web post done and a rough outline of the next memoir topics.
Mocha went out but didn't stay long...the snow discourages him.
Tripped over something last night in the dark and bunged up my injured toe...hurt all night, so didn't sleep. Going to bed early tonight.
We had the same temps before it rose into the low 40s, Fran. It has cooled back down to 31 right now.
I was really happy to get the Chinese food, but I ate too much.
Sorry about your incident, and I hope you get some good rest.

Mother Nature reminded us here that it's still February. We went from a high temp of 81 degrees yesterday to waking up this morning to 23 degrees and a dusting of snow. It makes me wonder what March will bring.
I'm glad you got some work, and glad you finally got the Chinese food with Monica. I wish you well with your physical tomorrow, I hope it's all good news.
Haha! Essentially the exact same here, Cynthia. Of course, we were expecting it. We didn't get any snow though.
I was glad for the work, and especially for the Chinese and the Great company I had with me.
