About Davebux
Joined October 2020
My name is David Buckley but often shortened to Dave. However, most friends and close associates soon revert to calling me Bux or Buckers. Even my car registration is BUX.
I’m in my late 60’s but I don’t act that way. I’m still a charger, I still want to work and I am still motivated to succeed, perhaps that is why my car is bright red, the sports model.
I’m married, with grown up children and live in the South West of England. Originally from Manchester I left home at 16 years of age and have had many adventures (and upsets) through life. But life is good right now. Yes, it could be better but we all have to learn to live with this dreaded coronavirus which has affected my current business very dramatically. Keep smiling and stand up every day is one of my sayings.
I am an Incorporated Engineer in the electro-mechanical service industry and during my 40 plus years in industry I have worked all around the world for almost every type of customer. I have worked on equipment from every area from testing brake pads for buses to engine parts for military aircraft. From testing machines for the Royal Navy to installing research equipment for rocket research in India (does that make me a Rocket Scientist – ha-ha).
I have three passions, firstly, all things French, visiting France, learning French, reading French novels. In fact I prefer to read French literature in preference to English. Secondly, I love to cook. Nothing special, what I would call rustic home cooking, and experimenting with recipes from time to time with good and bad results. But if you don’t fall down occasionally how will you know when you are doing things right. And last but not least my work. I love the subject of electrics, and love teaching it to others which has been my main source of income over the last 15 years or more. I think it is very important that we pass on knowledge to the younger generations and it gives me a definite buzz to see these young kids some 10 or 20 years later, as adults, making their own successful way in life and that perhaps, just perhaps, I helped in some small way to get them started.

Hey there, am so happy you've completed your money goals, am sure they’re 100% attainable. All the best, wish you success in your endeavors.

Please follow the training and apply what is taught all is explained within the lessons. How to make money online video by Kyle As you go along the coursework, ask as many questions as you like to get clarifications, mark your question as community and someone will always be here to answer your inquiries. You can also blog your questions, that's the Pen, top menu, choose Blog at WA. I believe there's a limit to blogging on the WA blog roll for the first three months.

Again you may like to post about why you choose WA, how you come about your niche, what are your goals for this week and the following, aspirations, etc.

Remember the WA community is no judgement. It is an open discussion. We help each other, we were all at one point where you are right now.

Welcome to WA..

Best wishes

I live in AZ but that was on yt short for YouTube. I gave you the title of the video. So go youtube. In the search type in the title. It should come up. I just took pictures with my phone to record some of them from the video. Because you can stop the video and take a picture.

Hello Bux, thanks for the follow, and I am following you back.

I enjoyed reading your bio, and about your three passions. I can relate to each in a small way.

We had a French foreign exchange student for about six months so I learned a little bit about France. It sounds lovely.

Most of my adult life, I grudgingly cooked, but now that I have more free time, I'm learning to like it more, mostly cooking in cast iron.

Our youngest son graduates next May with his degree in engineering, though his focus is more on computers. It was all him because I know nothing about it. He is way smarter than me (in fact, all my kids are).

It's super great that you enjoy passing on your knowledge to the younger generation.

And now you have WA. Has your background helped you much?

Thanks Lynn
I prefer to use cast iron for cooking too.
Engineering - he will never go wrong. There was no Covid when I was a sprogg of a young engineer so I was able to travel the world. Things are different now - at the moment.
Take care and keep focused.
If it is to be, it is up to me.

Thank you Elizabeth. I'm no newcomer to hard work and perseverance, physical, mental and spiritual .
My youtube channel is doing well and I was primarily interested in using my website to promote YouTube. Reading the advertising blurb for WA I did think I would have a mentor contact me but sadly nothing has ever happened over the last 8 months. Just goes to show that the only way to make progress and find things out is do it for yourself.
You take care now, I wish you all the best.
Dave.

Hello Dave,

May I ask who is your upline?

He/or she might be able to
lead you to where you want
to be.

We do have a lot here that
can guide you and show you
the way.

Just ask whatever it is that
you need.

I hope I can help you too.

Thank you so much.

Have a blessed weekend.

I don't know who is my upline Elizabeth.
I was drawn in by all the hype about being mentored but then nothing. I always hoped someone would send me an email saying hello Dave I'm your mentor, but no.
I could do better with my website, and I know there is a great community out there, but having no-one to give guidance after the promises is a bit off. After all, they are getting half my annual membership fee for doing nothing. And I don't even know who they are.
I will probably go back down to basic membership when the 12 months is up.
Thanks for the reply
I hope you are keeping well.
Dave.

Hello Dave,

So sorry for just answering
you back just now.

We can find that out just by
writing to Kyle and Carson
and ask them as you have
to really be connected with
the person unless the person
is not a member anymore
which we don't know yet.

I understand completely
what you meant and that
is one thing I do treasure
as that is my lifeline and
if I don't have that type
of support, I would not
even know if I have to
continue.

You can go here, please
and write them your issue.

https://www.wealthyaffiliate.com/contact/

Please do let me know.

Thank you so much.

God bless you!

Elizabeth
