Hey All,I recently uploaded my WA Review on Youtube but they have taken it down and assigned a Community Guideline Strike??? Has anybody here at WA had something similar happen
I had the same thing happen to me and the video was also a review of Wealthy Affiliate. This has been a couple years ago now, and after 6 months the strike was stuck (is that the right way to put this?)...
The video was never restored...I had a copy, but of course I was not going to post it again there...
Not sure if there is some lurkers who purposely complain or what because it is Wealthy Affiliate but it could be. I have seen thousands of reviews of other products that do not result in a strike...
My advice is to be careful (although I still do not know to this day the exact reason I was given a strike), look at the rules a few times, and to back up all your videos published on YouTube...
Consider using Vimeo, Amazon, or a similar hosting service to publish videos for your social sites and blog...This way you know you will not be taken down...
FYI, back then I also put in an appeal, but no action was taken on mine, I just had to wait the 6 months...I also could not use YT livestream during the strike period...
That forced me to look at other avenues to do live stuff with, so I went through Blab, Periscope, etc...I ended up learning some new stuff, but not exactly the way I wanted to do this...
Best of luck!
Dave : )
Thanks for your comments Dave, they are helpful and i really appreciate them. . .Have a good day!

Youtube has been going through some pretty politically correct crap as of late and I have a feeling this community strike may just be someone who wasn't happy with your review complaining about it. Appealing is certainly the first thing I would do, keep us posted on what happens Jack!
Thanks Vitaliy.I'll keep in mind what you said and i'll keep you and the WA community in the picture.I believe another WA member ElaineLima ( see comments below ) had a similar experience only the other day and she is awaiting Youtube's response to her appeal too.
Hey Vitaliy, i checked this morning and my video is back up on Youtube ( without any response to my query as to why it was taken down in the first place ). I'm delighted, now i just have to figure out how attract thousands of views.
Have a good day Vitaliy!

Target WA and MMO keywords as the tags and let it do the rest, many times with these YT videos, it's a hit or miss, so I'd leave it alone after that. Keep focusing on building your business either way. Glad to hear this issue is past!
That sounds pretty serious. What reason did they give? https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/2802032
Hey Marion,
They did'nt give any particular reason only that it violated there Community Guidelines??.All i did was take viewers on a virtual tour of WA pointing out the features and benefits of joining etc. . . .Disappointed to say the least. . ..

Hey, Jack.
Something very similar happened to me the other day with a video I made showing some of WA features.
I appealed to them yesterday and am now waiting for their response.
Good luck,
Eliane
Thanks Eliane,
I appealed too so i guess i'll just have to wait and see what they say.Oh but the curiosity. . . .I'll let you know how i get on if they reply to me sooner than you ( would be great if you could let me know how you get on too as there seems to be similarity with your video and mine re:WA features etc. . . . ) Have a good day!

Youtube community guideline strike? similar experience?

That's odd,how bizarre! Looking forward to getting to the bottom of this one ( judging by the comments below Youtube removing videos is not that uncommon but it's annoying when they don't explain the reason ).You should appeal bmark.I'm still waiting on their reply. . . .

Hey Everyone,
I'm just wondering am i free to post any article from the training resources and classrooms here on WA on Twitter? Thanks in advance.
Jack
On any blog at the top right of the blog there is a box that says affiliate. Click on that and it will give you an affiliate link. That is what you want to post because if someone comes to see what you linked to and joins they are your referral.
As far as training resources and classroom you have to be signed in to access them. So if you did link to them it would just take them to the main signup page.
No harm in linking back to WA.
I link back to my own WA blogs on a regular basis, can't see the point in linking back to someone else though.
Why would you want to lose the referral if the person decides to sign up?

Hello,
This may sound like a silly question but after completing lesson 8 of 10 phase 5 of bootcamp i am just wondering why my referrals page is blank?Do i need to invite pe
Your referrals page is blank because you haven't referred anyone to WA yet. If you know you have, you may have not used your affiliate link properly. If you think you did use your affiliate link properly, then I would send Kyle a PM and ask him why you're not getting your referrals.
Before you ask Kyle, you need to check to see if your site has the properly affiliate links to WA. In the lessons, you are shown this way back in probably phase 2 of Bootcamp.
