Anyone having an issue with WP GDPR Compliance Plugin messing up the format of your comments on mobile devices? It makes all my comments smoosh to the right and only displays t

Hi,
I use that same plugin and am not experiencing any issues with it. I wonder if it's some sort of compatibility issue with the theme that you're using? Maybe try a different theme and see if the same thing happens. Also, is everything updated to the latest version?

Sorry, I don't have any other suggestions but maybe if none of the above options fix the issue, you could find the answer in their support forum. Here's the link:

https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/wp-gdpr-compliance#new-post

Thanks. I am looking for a new theme anyway but it's weird because I am still using a free WP theme. You would think it would work fine since its very simple... It's just frustrating since I can't figure out what to do to fix it.

I did visit the forum for the plugin and see nothing about this issue. I may need to email them I guess. Thanks!

I use a free theme as well called Astra. It's great for people that use Page Builders. Well, good luck and please be sure to let me know if you do find a fix...never know if I may run into a similar issue in the future :)

Hello,
I'm not sure which plugin you're using..I have "WP GDPR Compliance" and my current theme is Envo Magazine. I just checked my comments on a post and they look fine on my iPhone. Can you take a look at my site (check my profile) and see if it shows correctly for you? If so, it might be related to that plugin and your specific theme and maybe changing one or the other will fix your issue but that's just a guess.

HELP!

I know we have some folks here who are great with coding, etc... I am not one of them... I am a quick study but I am at a loss here...

So I created an issue

Just thinking out loud
500 error = server issue
Where is your redirected preview page hosted?
I know I had a slideshow on my website, stored and hosted at the site where I made my slideshow, and they stopped with their services

I host here at WA... I had already spoken to them.

If this wasn't a preview URL then it would be an easy fix. A simple redirect but the fact it is not even a live page just makes it complicated.

I am thinking my only option is to ask Pinterest to remove all instances of the Pins and start them fresh again. I hate doing that but there does not seem to be a way to fix this. I just confirmed with a developer that you can't redirect a preview URL so I'm screwed there. UGH

I am so sorry for you

500 code errors are server errors nothing with url redirect. You have to contact support to see what wrong with you site.

Yes, I know it shows as a server error but the root is the preview URL on Pinterest Pins. It took a lot of trying to figure this out to come to that. And I did ask support and it's not a hosting issue, unfortunately. I wish it were...

Ok, I was hoping an easy fix for you, but in this case your problem is with the theme files sever. One or two might have been corrupted. This is not an easy fix by editing simple code. It requires major work and time consuming. The problem is locating the corrupted file or files and fix them. Even then it might not work. Here an article that I think did a very good job explaining the process on how to fix the problem. If you are going to do this yourself, I recommend back up all site files.

https://www.elegantthemes.com/blog/tips-tricks/how-to-fix-the-500-internal-server-error-on-your-wordpress-website

Hope this will help.

Thank you. I will go through this and see if it might help. I am not sure this is the result of corruption though... I can't find any information anywhere that shows the exact issue I am having... I have Googled until my fingers want to fall off.

I have read so much about 500 error codes and it doesn't seem to even make sense why this issue is even triggering as a 500... It is definitely because a preview URL cannot be accessed/crawled and that is the URL used in the Pinterest Pins.

The issue with Pinterest is that even if you change to original Pin's URL (which I can and did), every time someone repins or save your original pin, it creates a new copy... So there are thousands of copies with no way to track them or find them and I can't edit other people's pins... UGH. And Pinterest won't change the URL for you. I am thinking I just need to have the Pins removed and be done with it. Sucks since some have been fixed and are bringing traffic to the right place but I don't see any other option at this point...

I want to understand coding but it's like Martain at times... Thanks!

If you have pretty links, you can set the correct url as the "target url" or "destination url". Whenever I make that mistake, thats what I do.

I second you, that was my first idea too

Does pretty links slow down your site at all? I dont have it but if it can fix this issue, I will gladly get it lol

Ok tried Pretty Links and it won't work for what I need to do unless I am missing a step. Back to square one lol Thanks for the suggestion!

Suggestion 2-go to Marion:)

Sorry im late to respond. I had mommy duty. I thought the url was sending them to the wrong page. If so, pretty links or any other redirect plugin could help. You would input the wrong url and forward the traffic to the right "destination" url. The plugin hasnt slowed my site so I dont think that would be a problem.

If this was a live URL, then it would be an easy fix... Unfortunately, this is a preview URL and that doesn't seem to be something you can redirect from... I contacted several developers of the redirect plugins yesterday and they all said the same thing - you can't redirect a preview URL. UGH. This is such a mess.

Sorry to hear that.

I am curious if there are any WA members here who have paid for and taken EBA?

I am on several facebook pages with other mom bloggers and the big buzz right now is EBA (E

Curious--did you end up taking it? :) I don't feel it's something I can justify splurging on right now because I've already paid the 1 year WA membership fee, a Tailwind subscription, and will probably buy a pro theme and I have not made anything off my blog yet (only been at this 2 months). So trying to keep my overhead low and I know WA will give me what I need right now, but I am definitely interested for the future. Wondering if it is worth it, though. If it's just a repeat of what we learn here at WA with just a few new nuggets of info thrown in, I am thinking I could find something a little cheaper that will do the trick.

I’ve been reading about Elite but the cost is way too much for me. I’m also looking into traffic avalanche and may actually buy that one.

Pretty sure that Brok "from full time job from home," has done EBA. I think he also mentioned that his income grew quite extensively after completing it.
Successful members at WA still continue to buy other training products.... WA is great, but there are other things that can still complement it and work in combination. I've considered EBA, because I think it has a lot to offer. I may well do it, I'm not decided :). Certainly a lot of bloggers there seem to be in the personal finance/frugal living/save money/make money type niches - but I have seen some others as well. Well, let me know if you sign up! :)

I believe I've heard of it but am not that familiar, so take this opinion however you wish.

Amy Lynn Andrews has what seems to be a pretty unbiased and thorough review even though she is also an affiliate.

One thing she mentions in her review when discussing the cost is that:

"$897. In addition, many paid-for tools and services are suggested along the way. Some of them are integral to the course, like an ESP to set up your mailing list. Others are optional, but used by Ruth and highly recommended."

Something that continues to amaze me here at WA is that the guys here have not further monetized WA to generate more revenue from us. They could easily slap together a list of some of their favorite resources, 3rd party digital training products, etc., and upsell us on a regular basis just like many other "educational" platforms do. There's not necessarily anything wrong with that, but the fact that the only things I'm aware of that we've been upsold on are WA products like Jaaxy and SiteDomains is incredible. They've deliberately left a lot of money on the table, so to speak.

From reading Amy's review(and a couple others), it seems that EBA could very well be worth it, but you will be upsold along the way and it appears that there will indeed be further expenses along the way in addition to the $897 course fee.

Again, there's not necessarily anything wrong with that. It's just good to know going in.

It appears to be pretty well structured for learning.

If I were laser focused and had exhausted all the education here, I would probably take a serious look. But alas, I'm not and I haven't. :)

From the info on you bio, you may very well be, so it might be worth some more serious looking into by you. In my case, it would just be a distraction that would divide my attention.

And that is a long-winded $0.02 from someone who truly has no idea of what's inside EBA. :)

Good luck and best wishes for your success.

I am personally trying to find my feet here on WA, anything extra will just derail me. Thanks anyway for sharing.
All the best

Personally! I have tried and read a lot of many sites. After all that my decision is focussing only on WA plus 2 other sites. All the important things are here and it simply takes too many times from the most important things which are working on the site/sites.

But it is just my 5 cents.

Judging from the reviews I have read - its a no-no for me. Others might say differently. Everything I want and have is right here at Wealthy Affiliate.

The WA annual membership is such good value

You can definitely earn a great income with your Internet Business here

Have you read negative reviews, then? I agree that there is a lot of great things here on WA! And it is a great value. I dont plan on leaving haha.

An interesting thing I have noticed is that a lot of the bloggers that I have come across have built their blogs mainly with social media as their main traffic driver. Not SEO. I believe EBA focuses big on a plan for that which would help. They only touch on SEO which is a shame because it is so so valuable. I am glad I found WA first, that's for sure!

It was mixed reviews actually, I bet half of them haven't heard of Wealthy Affiliate.I just find their membership fees rather steep it's about 6 years yearly premium membership with WA.

I smell a pyramid scheme and the last time I joined something like this was Herbal Life in the eighties.I dropped it like a hot potato

The other thing that bothered me you pay all that money to join what is the guarantee you will become financially successful?. We onto a winner with WA. It takes time and patience

'If its to be its up to me'

Yep, a lot of them do great with social media and we have some decent training here on that, but I think some more focus could definitely be put on it.

I think one reason for that is that the owners of WA got where they are through SEO and PPC advertising. They don't seem to be big on using Social Media, at least not that I've seen.

Top marketers like Lynn Terry started before social media got hot and I believe she also built her presence via SEO and PPC but has also mastered social marketing.
