when I go to my site it shows but you can't scroll the page so can't read content.
I was using chrome, in MS edge it will scroll but jumps back to the top of the page, with

When I removed the plugin at first it seemed to scroll up.
Having gone back again to check it is still not working, just won't scroll the page up.
HELP

False notice, it's back and not scrolling, even after deleting the plugin ???

It could be that your site has a plugin or theme that wants to keep on the top and doesn't allow you to scroll. I am not sure in this situation you got, but I have seen it somewhere else on WA before.

Figure out if you got a plugin that is malfunctioning or whether a theme is trying to keep you on the top. You could switch to another theme just to see if it will fix the problem.

Other than that, if you do not have any content on your site, there is nothing to scroll either.

Hi Steven
Thanks for your response, you are correct having removed the plugin SEO pack it seems to be OK.
In site manager plugins the seo plugin indicates upgrade to pro, on
both sites including the rubix.com I built in the first training now also says upgrade to pro.
Wonder if any others have the same problem with this all in one SEO plug-in pack?

I just looked at my own site in chrome. To the right of the site is a scroll bar, do you have that on yours Goldy.

Firefox has issues I believe

Hi Dave
Thanks for your response, yes the scrollbar is visible but it just jumps a little as though there is something at the top of the page stopping it.
Will look at StevenEsser's post

Okay, hope you get it sorted soon it can be irritating

Hi
Having removed the All in one SEO plugin it seems to work OK
I have asked the question why the plugin requests that you upgrade to pro if you do will it fix that problem?

I have just started a 2nd website but don't want it showing on the internet until its finished.
I don't think I selected publish in site builder but it seems to be live

You can choose to noindex the whole site like explained below. (Just remember to remove the checkmark when you are done)

But the best way is to use a 'coming soon' or 'maintenance' plugin.
That will give a message to visitors that you are working on the site, and you will be able to see the site as normal when you are logged in. I have used one called 'WP Maintenance Mode'.

Most important, a plugin like that will send a '503 Temporary unavailable' message to Google and then Google will check back every now and then to see if you have gone live. A noindex for the whole page will tell Google that there is no use coming back and nothing much will happen until you submit your site to search console.

Make sure to write a good message in the plugin. Use keywords you want to rank for because your maintenance site will rank with Google.

What you can do is to let your visitors that the site is "under construction". There are a lot of plugin which can help you do that.
Just search for "under construction" in the search plugin section and you should be able to choose one you like.

You could just check the box in the pic but as you can see its up to the search engines to honor the request.

Goldy, in the wordpress admin area, there is a facility to take it off, I think

I think you don't need to worry about it. People won't end up there anyway if you don't share it to anyone. If you don't want to show any content on the website, you can just save all pages/posts as draft and then publish when all of them are ready.

exactly, it's hard enough to get attention from Google for an older site, never mind a brand new one. What I did with my new second site, is I simply placed a sign saying 'under construction, please stay tuned' on pages that I was planning on using as 'placeholder' pages for sub pages of content under them. I never click Publish on any Post or Page anyway until I have done all the fine tuning and editing on them. I worked like a crazy person in the beginning so if anyone found my site, there would be something there LOL! That second website got indexed by Google in 5 days
