I don't know about anyone else here, but spring fever in my part of the world has unleashed my inner rebel with a vengeance! If you think you are going to find some hidden treasure in this post about writing disciplines, sticking to a regular writing schedule, answering emails, making efficient use of your work day, mind blowing marketing strategies, or any other kind of responsible and mature business building tidbits, please move on 'cause this post ain't about any of that.
As a matter of fact, this post is all about skipping off school, telling your "inner goodie-two-shoes" to run naked through the spring violets, eating that first double scoop triple chocolate ice cream cone of the season, hanging out in the sunshine while you act like your favorite hippie friends when they've been blissed out on magic mushrooms, only you're just blissed out on the sunlight, and last but not least, telling your responsible, oh so clever and disciplined, smart ass, ducks all lined up in a row, I'm on page one of Google, writer/blogger self to simply kiss off for a few days so your inner rebel can do her spring thing.

And not to leave any of you guys out of the picture who may be feelin' a touch of the inner rebel coming out, whether from spring fever or just over-working. Time to go play in the mud!

Sure we can tame this part of ourselves some of the time when we have to, but boy, don't ever think it's a wise move to keep him or her bottled up when he or she wants to stop playing the 'I wanna be successful and wealthy and work from home and have all the time and freedom I can for the rest of my life' role for a few days.
I'm not saying that's not possible - to be successful and wealthy and work from home and have all the time and freedom you can for the rest of your life - I'm just saying it might not be possible if all we ever do is work and make no time for play. All work and no play can make us dull people/writers/entrepreneurs that no one will want to listen to.
But a little tip-toeing through the tulips with some serious 'I got me some bad-ass no working attitude' for a day or two or three or four, will tame our inner rebel for a while and fill our creative tank with all kinds of new ideas and refreshing new ways of moving forward again.
So here's to the inner rebel in all of us...and don't think you don't have one. :-)
Fiercely, :-)
Heather
