About CarolEll

I am a licensed psychologist with over 35 years of experience in the public and private sectors. I've worked in most community settings, including my own practice, with infants to seniors, providing both behavioral health and mental health services. I've had a varied, creative and fulfilling career, but It's time for it to end.

My background includes a successful 27-year marriage, 6 years of sudden widowhood, and, now, a happy second marriage to a former widower. We each have one daughter and son-in-law, and 5 shared grandchildren.

My profession has allowed me to be employed and then self-employed. Hands down, self-employment Is much more rewarding than working for someone else.

I'm considering lots of ideas, mostly having to do with seniors. We elders are living longer than ever, with options that our parents and grandparents could not imagine. So, why not tap into the possibilities, senior to senior?

I'll keep you posted along the way!

Regards,
Carol

Your goals are totally realistic and when you achieve the first one, it will be just a matter of scaling to reach the second one. The Internet works wonderful when you have your formula for success down which you are going to be getting from the training here at WA.

Once you get this formula down the sky is truly the limit Carol! I look forward to working with you and seeing you make your goals a reality. :)

Hi Carol, love your goals. Sounds like you are very determined.

You should pin your goals up on your work area and look at them each day, it's awesome. Date it as well. Focus on them and they'll come true.

Personally, I think it helps to write out our goals, give short and long term goals, and stay dedicated to working hard to reach those goals on a daily basis.

That's what really helped me get started and has lead to much of my online success. That and the education, support, and guidance offered here at WA.

All's it takes to reach your goals is to follow the training courses and take action on what you learn, work at it consistently with a positive energy and you'll make it.

I'm certainly glad I followed the WA training on a daily basis, I now have a great online business that works for me 24/7, even when I'm sleeping.

I wish you nothing but the same kind of success,
Todd

Hi Carol,

I see that you got your account set up here at WA. Congrats!

I really believe the key to this business is designating a set amount of time to your education. If you consistently work on the Getting Started course, you'll build your website and online business at the same time.

I know that when I first joined WA I got serious information overload. I didn't really know where to get started or what exactly I was meant to be doing.

If you haven't started the Online Entrepreneur Certification Course - that's the place to start. It'll take you through the whole process of what online marketing is, and how to build a successful website. Click the green"Get Started Here" button up on the left.

And don't be afraid to reach out to me or the community with questions when you need help. I think you'll find the WA community to be very supportive. You can always find tutorials and discussion using the top search browser here at WA as well.

Lastly, I would also strongly encourage you to follow the Top 100 Friends here at WA and to take a look at their Blogs, Training's & Websites located under their profile pictures here at WA. This will help give you some ideas as well.

Best of luck and keep working towards your goals.

Thanks, Todd. I just went Premium. We're on vacation, so our days are pretty full. Nevertheless, I've been thinking more about a site for seniors. I can already envision a few subniches having to do with retirement, post-retirement, traveling tips, considerations and places for relocation, snowbirding, health issues, healthy lives, support devices (as you had mentioned)..... So, for now, I'm letting it allbrainstorm and gel mentally, even though I'm not doing a lot with the site. I definitely see the value and potential ahead.

Thanks for checking in.

Hi Carol,

Welcome to Wealthy Affiliate. My name is Todd and I referred you here to Wealthy Affiliate through my website Learn To Grow Wealth Online.

I hope you really enjoy your week here at WA. There is a ton of info & training here, so absorb it like a sponge.

I personally started by taking the classes one day at a time and then simply took action on what I learned and I couldn't be happier with my online business.

I Make Money While I Sleep, Isn't That Cool

That being said, before you start making money, there are just three things you need to know.

1) Those who ask questions and interact with the community are far more likely to learn faster and meet their financial goals.

- Watch this video here to learn how to maximize your community reach at WA.. I would also strongly encourage you to follow the Top 100 Friends here at WA and to take a look at their Blogs, Training's & Websites located under their profile pictures here at WA.

2) You can get started learning how to make money by doing your Level 1 Certification Course. Click on the green "Get Started Here" button or just click this link.. .

This is the first course on the Wealthy Affiliate Entrepreneur Program, and the best next step you can take. This is where I started my online business and I think you'll be pleased with the results.

3) Don't be afraid to ask questions. WA is a super friendly community, especially to newbies, so there are no dumb questions here.

Remember that you can ask any question you want in live chat, on your personal blog, or in the Getting Started Classroom here..

https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/getting-started

You can also use the search bar above like Google search, just start typing in your question and you will find blogs/tutorials/classes/and Webinars that can answer your questions.

If you don't find the answer, you can always type the question below the search bar results and the WA community will help you out right away.

I'm following you now and here's my Wealthy Affiliate profile if you want to contact and/or follow me.
https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/tmaltz

You have everything you need here at WA to create a successful online business, you just need to take advantage of the education, community support, and TAKE ACTION on what you learn.

I wish you the most success with your online business and goals.

Cheers

Thanks, Todd. I already have some questions about turning my 35 years of experience as a psychologist into a niche that doesn't conflict with my licensure. Before I ask them, I want to see if the website will provide its own answers. I also have a few hobbies, and I'm thinking of "niching" one of them instead. So much to learn!

Hi Carol,

You can always do both, but I would pick one and only work on that till you get it profitable. Pick something that you really enjoy and could see yourself writing about it and maybe other sub-niches within your niche.

I was starting my therapy niche site and as I was developing it, I found so many sub niches that I hadn't previously thought of.

Not only doing manual therapy to help people on a daily basis, but reviews (really campaigns) of products like power lift chairs, scooters, wheel chairs, walk in tubs. This type of niche really could be well developed over time.

Hopefully you see my point. Pick something fun, enjoy it. Work at it like you are back in college and enjoy the process. Keep enjoying your life/leisure.

That's my 2 cents, let us know if you ever need any helps.

Good idea! I've been thinking about doing a site for seniors approaching retirement and later life. Reviewing products is a great idea for one piece of it. Are you doing that?

Absolutely. As you get more into the training, you learn that you can reach out to your niche audience by supplying information they're looking for.

For example: Say our Niche is kite boarding and your audience is kite boarders.

Fellow kite boarders are going to want to know what are the best boards for quick action on the water, or what's the best value in a board or other related kite boarding apparel, etc.

So by being able to connect with your niche audience, you know what they're looking for. You do keyword research to answer questions that they're asking. And reviews is a big part of that. Also, other related keyword phrase searches.

Google: guide to making money online. You should see my post in position 3 currently. It's been there for about 8 months. Guess how many people are searching this phrase???

This is what I'm talking about. Stick to the training and it becomes quite clear.

Hope this helps,
Todd
