You actually don't want to do this (as discussed in chat). Leave your website active while you are away and it will still gain rankings and you can take off where you left off when you come back.

I never recommend taking a website offline.

Thank you Kyle. Will do. Already made my first post ever online just now. :)

I'm fairly new to all this but i believe that you can add content but it is not visible until you publish it. Anything you add can be saved as draft.

Oh, that makes sense. Thanks.

It can't just be the $47 a month. What other unforeseen expenses are going to occur over the ensuing months if I upgrade. I mean, for one thing, there is domain name registrat

WA Fee - that removes the hosting cost while also providing you with all the premium features
Domain Name - £5-7 per year in the UK,

That will get you going, there are additional costs but most of these are optional - normally with free alternatives (pros/cons to them all)
-Keyword tool (example: Jaaxy) - free version: Google Keyword Tool
-WP Themes (example: Theme X) - plenty of free ones in the WP Market
-WP Plugins (example: Amazon Azon) - again, there are free alternatives that may take slightly more work/time
-Logos/Design (example: Header Logos) - You can create your own, find free ones online
-Email Subscriptions (example: Aweber) - Again you can use free ones (Mail Chimp) that will only come at a cost once you hit a substantial number.

This shouldn't put you off, use everything for free and as you start building an income you can then look to 'update' your services as you see fit. Sometimes paying for a service just makes it quicker/easier - but that won't hold you back if you put in the effort.

Just a domain name (about 10 bucks a year) and this is not a WA cost.
You will have the option to purchase Jaaxy but you don't have to, you can use the WA Keyword Tool.

That's it - no joke!

ROCK ON!

The only thing I pay for here is the yearly and then i register the domain name with the who is guard for my sites. The only other extras would be if you want another website (another domain name) or if you want to get fancy and purchase a premium theme (i dont use theme and my sites do just fine).
There are free autoresponders you can use that don't require you to pay anything until you get over a certain amount of emails like 2000 or something. Which shouldn't be an issue for a new site.

Just like the others say. It's $47 per month or $359 per year. That's it. No upsells, etc.

Domain names, website themes (if you want to use paid ones), autoresponder service like AWeber, etc. are third party investments and optional, though it's recommended when you progress with your business.

Other than that, WA only cost you a monthly or yearly fee as I've stated above.

All the best. :)

Just Domain name registration (recommended) which is cheap these days. The only other cost will be if you pay for advertising.

Hi. Honestly, you only need to purchase a domain for $10-12 per year. There are no other expenses you will incur. No need to worry about any upsells here. :)

What more will I have to pay out?

This business model here has been 'played out' on the internet, throwing up a website, setting up database for emails/auto-responders, generating traffic, then monetizing it, et

Good questions . https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/kathy331. I have a very new perspective on success since I have been IN the community. I used to limit my view of it, but when I made success because of my efforts, I found and learned it is measurable in many ways. Did I reach my goal? Did I accomplish my tasks? Did I learn what it takes? Have I understood HOW to do something new?

WA is a community where like minded individuals learn from one another. Of course you will earn to the extent of your efforts and how you apply yourself.

We acknowledge our successes as we go, and we don't only put the value on the monetary gains. Obviously it takes time to earn and if we haven't invested any of us can set ourselves up for failure. We ALL have the potential to be successes.

Who wants to be the the 5% ers
Could it be any of us?
I really think it depends on our own limiting or allowing beliefs.

Teresa

Hi Teresa, I like your reply. BTW: You asked a lot of rhetorical questions and now WA sees it as if you need help!

If you come to WA to just to try, then your success rate will indeed not be that high. However, if you join with a commitment to work here say 6 months or preferably a year and work hard for it, your chances of success will rise very quickly. Interested to know where you got the 2% from.

I know that here it is higher than 2% and it also depends what you mean by success, what your goals are. Some people just want to make a bit of pin money, others a full-time income.

Where is the "well known" info coming from, what is termed as success? :)

If I say, I would be revealing my potential niche too soon; I just signed on and barely know this place yet to do that. lool I too am curious though by how they defined 'success'-- did the mean 7 figure earners? lol... where can I see the 'success' stories here on WA? Isn't there a tab somewhere here where people post their little and big successes?

I have written a few success posts! Go to Activity Dashboard on the left then click on success tab.
Welcome btw and good luck. :)
