So this might be a weird question but does anyone know anyway to tell the publication date of the last post put up on a site if they do not show dates on their posts? I am chec
Mine aways come up with the date posted, so I am not sure how you would find out otherwise :-(
yeah im thinking there must be SOME way, espeically since i know sites disable the date for that very reason sometimes lol

I was curious too after reading your question so I did some searching.
You can try using http://www.rexswain.com/httpview.html. "See exactly what an HTTP request returns to your browser."
It is hit or miss for published and last modified dates. I tested 2 posts I found without dates and got a last modified date for one and no dates for the other.
Input the URL and select GET or HEAD and leave everything else as is and click Submit.

oh niftie, thanks its just that some of these sites still are ranking well but im pretty sure they are no longer being updated and they are ranking because no one else is attempting to compete against them so i just kinda wanna make sure so i can see how active they are lol
yep this seemed to work pretty well, in the code at the start of the actual post it has its publication date which works! probably a good sign when the last post on the site is from december of last year. that gives me some time lol
