Hi, Capri, tried to have a look at your site, thinkyourselfskinny.com, to see your about page but site times out or gets a warning the site is insecure.
I notice you're using the prefix www. You need to add the https:// prefix to your DN and update in Google webmaster tools. I don't know how concise your about page is or what it's about, but a minimum of 300 words is recommended, with a keyword count of between 2 and 5%. Hope this helps. Best wishes.
P.S. You also need to update the link at the bottom of your profile.
Will I see notification if they sign up for the free trial and then if they decide to go premium?
Also if you look at every blog post and training here.. it says "affiliate" up at the top. That is "your" affiliate link so you can refer people through training and blog posts..
Yes Eva, just look in the left margin and click "Link Tracking". That will take you to the page to see any updates. You can also pay attention to the airplane icon on tool bar. As that number decreases your work is paying off.

I know that they say it is best to use a keyword with a QSR below 400 but is it possibke to still rank using a keyword phrase with a competition of about 422. Also I was wonder
To be totally honest in my experience before I joined wealthy affiliate I was getting videos and article post to rank with high competition but I did do some paid advertisement. You can rank for any keyword if you willing to put the investment and time in it. The reason we go for 400 or less is so that we have a higher chance of ranking as quick as possible.
What type of paid advertising did you do? And how do you check if you are ranking? Do you just type in your keyword and see if you see your article?
I use a website called SerpLab. But you can simply Google something like check keyword ranking. You will find a few similar sites. I've tried some and most of them have similar results for the same keyword. I did cross search just to check if the results are reliable.
Mean there is less than 10 traffic or no traffic. It just a keyword that hasn't been searched yet.
Ideally, you will want to find keywords that have at least 50 searches and less than 100 QSR to begin with.
Hi Capri, Jerry and Tim are spot on. 300 and less is where you want to be headed and the lower the better when getting started. It's all about not competing with the bigger sites in the beginning.
All the best Tommy
Hey Capri,
This is a pretty good question. Just like what Dreamer56 has said, anything is possible. What Kyle taught was to help you get started. It is better to start with a low competition keyword as it is easier to get ranked. As the time passed by and your site has gained more authority in your niche, using a more competitive keyword at that point of time will be more effective. If your site has little authority and site trust, using a very competitive keyword is less effective as it is even harder for you to get ranked. So try to use low competition keywords at the beginning. Then consider the more competitive ones when your site matures because ultimately those competitive ones are the ones that will help you generate a lot of traffic.
422 from my opinion is quite competitive. I remembered Kyle said try to aim at QSR less than 300. The best is less than 100.
Hope that helps:)
Cheers,
Jerry
Anything is possible Capri. Check out some of the sites in the top 5 or 6 positions. You are going to have to out do those sites to stand a chance.

its just hard since i made the mistake of choosing such a broad niche. I am still learning so I dont want to give up. I am just learning more to make my next site better. But just to give you an example, I want to write a blog on the truth about breakfast. Any keyword i can think of has such high competition. I am feeling a bit stuck
We all struggle Capri. But we don't give up!
I don't know exactly what your niche is. So this search may not pertain but the process is the same.
I enter breakfast in the search bar and got a list I looked thru and found a few keywords that looked promising. I chose one and used the dig tab to get even more ideas. You could hit the dig tool again to populate another
list
In addition to Robert/Bommergp08's tutorial on kw research this post might help you find some ideas for content. How To Find Niche Ideas But first you might want to stop by this post there is something there for you. Hats Off! Holler if I can help

I was so blessed to have an opportunity to get involved in a business at the very beginning. I am definitely going to promote it on my blog but I was wondering if I am able to
It's not another online marketing. It's health and wellness products. Is that still a no no? It's more of a multi level marketing
You cannot promote anything to the WA members, products, services or opportunity - it's against the TOS
You can do whatever you like on your website outside the WA yes.
But you cannot post anything here inside the WA such as Posts, comments, blogs or profile and have a link go to your site.
No you can't promote your products here - that would create utter caos with everyone trying to market. You can post your web site under your profile. WA members can chose to visit it or not.
