How come Google ads is not showing on website?
I have waited 1 week, and no ads.

How I did it?
Clicked on "appearance"-> widgets -> primary (text) -> copy

Under the control of Google. Most likely scheduled via their analytic algorithms.

It could take weeks man. I think they want to see some traffic. This is normal for adsense. Approved quickly but have to wait for the ads to show up

If there is no traffic, then Google will not show the ads?
Still not seeing anything..

Correct. Took me a few weeks to show up. Hang in there. You won't make money with Google ads anyway without massive traffic. I would get with some affiliate networks and start putting out tons of content.

Hi WA friends,
How do I add only advertising programs to one of my pages or posts?

I went through the training to add google adsense down below, but it doesn't show h

But you get more money from Adsense when you have it on every post and page.

Hi Marion,
On Course 3, Lesson 8, Kyle encourages us to do this step to see what works out or not.
Have you gone to that part of the training?

But you do have a point!

You can install a Display Widget, which will allow you to do that.

If you paste the code in the "text" of your post, the banner shows at a specific spot all the time.

How to move that banner right or left?

Thanks for asking, I am following all the answer.

One way is to select the place in the text approximately. point your cursor and paste your code. You can correct its position by playing with the box in visual mode then.

Visual mode! ahhhh... I will try that, sounds simple.
Thanks Billy!

Here is the support article from wordpress about aligning images. You should be able to do this with your banner....

I will check it out. Thanks mate!

Was wondering if anyone has tried or using Target affiliate program.
Looks like it's better than Walmart.

Nice to look at it. Please keep us informed.

Sorry to get back to you so late. Yes, I just signed up with him.
They just sent a special promo link for affiliates. Have not got down to doing much.

Once I do and things start , I will keep in touch with you.
Regards
Roopesh

Are you based in the US?
I have a feeling that Target works with only US residents.
Thanks for keeping in touch Roopesh.

It is new to me. I will look it up. Thank you for asking.

Been wondering about Target myself. Still waiting to hear back from the Walmart program.

Hi Eatandmove,

I am not aware of the target affiliate program; however, there is training on finding affiliate programs. I hope this helps.

If you have a product ready for affiliate links, which one would you choose for more sales/profit?
An Amazon affiliate link (4-6% commission),
or an independent affiliat

this is very useful training might help you out

Thanks Katie!
I'll check it out.

Depending on the niche I would say.If it is a product that needs special backup or support, Amazon may not be the right affiliate.

listen Amazon is the best but you have a timeframe and you have to be careful . If you don't make any sale they stop you

I will make sure to make a sale, thanks Xrissy!

:))))ok good luck

There are a lot of affiliate networks, and programs out there. You may be able to market the same or similar product/service through more than one company. I would compare, and take the best offer.

I haven't had much luck with affiliate networks. For instance, went to Rakuten, Clickbank, Shareasale sites, tried to look for my niche within their sites before joining them, but wasn't satisfied with their offers.

Either they were very few advertisers and unknown.

I think people are more likely to buy when they feel comfortable with the company also, so, there are other advantages with going with an Amazon, Wal Mart, Best Buy, over an independent.

It depends on your product. But if the independent program offers you only 10% then Amazon is more favorable, because they will count you not only the product your visitor clicked on but ALL products they may buy while on Amazon from your link.

Amazon is a powerhouse for sure.

You know, you can have more than one affiliate. As for when to choose an independent over Amazon, I'd say go on a case by case basis. If the independent is selling something unique or proprietary, or something like a large screen TV, and it's likely that's all your visitor is going to purchase, then, go with the indy, if you stand to make a higher commission.
But if it's an item that may result in multiple sales such as a camera, where you might also get sales on accessories, such as a case, a charger or a couple extra lenses and filters and a third party user's manual or book, go with Amazon, because they'll automatically suggest related items and bundles and automatically do the upselling for you.

Very true, your examples helped a lot! Thanks for the insight!

Amazon may give you a higher volume on sales.however, if you are doing personal networking and building your own customer base, it may behoove you to begin a dedicate list and go for the 10%. It all depends how you intend to marketing your product.

Could you start with Amazon and see how it goes and then try the other alternative. It may be productive to test both markets.

Testing both markets in the same page would be good. Great insight!

The best approach taking comments into consideration is to split test each alternative and make your decision on results.

Would it be a good idea to say:

You can buy it "here" or "here".

One of the "here" would link to Amazon, and the other to the actual product's affiliate link site?

That's fine if you are able to split your time and efforts simultaneously and absorb a lesser response on one rather than going all out on one that shows dominance.

WA has lifetime cookies, many of the others do not. Kyle and Carson could answer this much better than I , thanks anyway for asking,, Gary Apt.

WA affiliate program seems to be awesome. I will have to check it out.

Hi, Well they say Amazon is the biggest but not necessarily the very best, you could try Amazon first, to see how it goes.

Cheers
Lou

Amazon seems to be the better option, also because you can make commissions from customers in all countries right?

You must sign up for the different countries, and then, yes.
