Adsense Without a Plugin

This is a quick way to add Google Adsense to your site without using a plugin.

Dennis (Prestones) has alerted me to the fact that the only titles permitted for Google Adsense ads are "sponsored links" and "advertisements". https://support.google.com/adsense/answer/1346295?... Thanks Dennis, I'll go back to my website and change the title.

Is adding AdSense without using a plugin a better way to go or does it make no difference? I assume the aim of this method is to reduce the amount of plugins installed therefore maybe making the website a bit faster? Someone have the answer?

Marion's method is very straightforward, and with AdSense and Amazon, I know it works.

Some plugins help you 'build' the site, and others help the user 'interact' with the site. I think it's better to avoid unnecessary plugins, and using widgets works well.

You also get an Adsense ad on every post and page (without any extra work) which increases the views. Each time the ad shows it's something different.

Love this! That's the way I've been approaching ads...

Sometimes I don't know what else the Plugin is doing, so it's better to keep it simple and use the Widgets...
