My name is Hal.
I live in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in the United States. People call it Philly for short - hence the nickname Halinphilly (Hal In Philly).
My skills include video editing, writing, songwriting, music production and some web-building knowledge (a little html, flash, javascript copy and pasting)… you know... just enough to be considered dangerous). I own quite a few internet video marketing tools such as Explaindio, Easy Sketch Pro, Simple Video Pro and Screenflow for Mac. Oodles of doodles, motion backgrounds, royalty free music, some DFY marketing videos for several niches, and a bunch of other "shiny objects"...
Throughout most of 2014, I was recovering from a bout with (Stage 3) colon cancer. During that period, in a brave effort to remain positive and maintain my sense of humor, I often joked with friends that "I was "planning to build an internet empire - as soon as the effect from the radiation and the chemotherapy drugs wear off." Actually, I was only half joking. My intention truly is to earn money online so I can work from anywhere in the world, visit friends, far away places and fulfill my bucket list. When I wrote this profile, the clock was only a few hours away from chiming in 2016… This is the year I finally begin to see results. [RIGHT?]
So, After spending most of 2014 - 2015 in bed studying and learning as much as I could about online video marketing, there are still a few missing pieces of the puzzle as to how all the parts work together. I know it's all very simple once you "see" it. Every once in a while, I have one of those "AHA!" moments. Always look forward to those.
But all of the best tools were useless without knowing how to apply those tools effectively. Many people have succeed online without owning any of the skills, apps or courses I have at my disposal. Finally, at the end of 2015, just before the New Year, I found my way here to Wealthy Affiliate University through a free email course from Ian Pribyl, know around here as Pribs.
Now that I've been here 3/4 of a year, I can honestly say my experiences here, and all of the available training is exactly what I had been looking for! Thanks to all the WA members who have contributed to make this site the amazing resource that it is.
There is one thing I would ask, now that the Stuff For Baby Boomers site matured enough to call it a "real" website - please visit and leave a comment somewhere. There is a comment box on almost every page, so if you read something that compels your to respond, by all means - I would love that.
In the meantime... I look forward to meeting, teaching and learning from many of you as time goes on!

QUESTION #1: How much money would you be happy earning?
$5000/month
QUESTION #2: How much would you be ecstatic earning?
10,000/m
QUESTION #3: And how much TIME are you willing to invest to achieve these goals?
4 hour work week would be ideal, but Id be willing to put in a LOT more now, so I can work less later. I realize we can't all be Tim Ferriss.

Someday maybe you can be Tim Ferriss, but that man has a LOT of people working for him, which is why he can work so little. In the meantime, it will take more than 40 hours/week to begin reaching your goals. It's tough (but doable) to do, but absolutely worth it once you start to achieve your goals! Best of luck!

Greetings from New York!!!
I saw a comment of yours, and decided to follow you. I really respect how you took the time, when your body was experiencing something very traumatic, and used that time to strengthen your mind! Very inspiring indeed!
Hope to be part of your network Hal. May you have continued success!
P.S. That is one cute little doggie in your profile pic! Have you had him/her for a while; he/she looks as if they've been around for some time.

Luv it! Thank you so much for not only following me, but for taking that little side trip here to my profile page to introduce yourself.
That little doggie in the photo is Cooper. He's about 10 years old now, but I've had him since he was an 8 weeks young puppy. He's my lucky charm. He was curled up on the bed next to me through my entire ordeal when I was recovering from surgery and going through the whole ordeal.
At the moment, he's sound asleep on his doggie bed while I tend to my internet stuff.
I'll finish this on your profile page. Nice to meet you!

Cooper is a real cutie Hal.....it's funny, but he just has this look like he's been around for a while...that he's seen some things....dogs are the best, I miss not having one.
Well, it seems as if you're full steam ahead Hal!. Looking forward to being a part of your network, so now I'll be able to read your posts!
Give Cooper a hug for me please, and tell him he has a follower, lol!

Hi Hal
After receiving your comment, I had to read about you, and I am glad that I did.
I hope that the cancer is behind you now. I have cronic pain that I live with everyday, so I feel for anyone who is going through it in their own way.
I am very happy to meet you and I am sure that you enjoy WA just as much as I do.
I will be exciting and interesting to watch it all come together.
Take care and
Good Luck with your Success

Wow, you had cancer about the same time as me. I, too, realized that working from home was a good idea. Hope your colon cancer stays away. I had anal cancer and, fortunately, when that one is gone, it's gone.
Good luck with your site, and have a great holiday season.

I know we are supposed to keep it positive here but I just have to be honest here, man. Honestly? A Squatty Potty?
Anyone who would shell out 30 bucks for something so absurd has got to be the biggest mooche on the internet! when I first saw this, I thought to myself, you gotta be kidding me!
Are you for real! The advertisement is as gross as they come!
Man you ought to be ashamed of yourself for trying to push this crap!
But then I said, what the heck, money back guarantee, what do I have to lose?
I'll tell you what I had to lose....but not here. AS a colon cancer survivor, I can say this is the best 30 bucks I have ever spent. It feels a little weird at first because I am a little overweight but man, I know this sounds stupid, I love my squatty potty. Oh my gosh man, did I really say that?
Thanks again, Hal
